I have been a patron of Space Burger at 2813 N. MacArthur, Irving, Texas since for 5 months and love their food. The last 2 times I ordered Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad, the salad dressing was left out. I called to complain the first time, and Homer admitted he forgot. The next time I ordered, the dressing was left out again. I called the store and they did not answer. I left a message complaining this was the 2nd time in a row the salad dressing was left out. I left my name and phone number. I did not receive a reply. On August 18 2021 I ordered again by phone, my daughter picked it up from Homer, who said he was the manager. She told him about the past 2 times the salad dressing was left out, and that there was very little lettuce and it was wilted. Homer raised his voice and said, "If you don't like it, why do you keep comming back?" My daughter said, "Because I like the food!" Homer said "Everyone makes mistakes!", and proceeded to ring up the order. When my daughter got home she was livid, and told me what took place. I immediately called the store and asked who I was speaking to. The person asked "Why do you want to know?". I didn't answer, then asked to speak to a manager. He said he was the manager. I asked for the phone number of the owner and he raised his voice to a screaming state. I was so shocked I don't don't even know what he said. Then he hung up. I never had a chance to tell him the purpose of my call. He seemed to know already the reason. Homer is a very poor manager and should not represent the Space Burger Company. I had a cheeseburger combo. It was good and not pricey. The veggies really tasted fresh. I realize someone before commented on it tasting like it came frozen from a box. It's possible that the food is not 100% made from scratch. But in my opinion it's not noticeable. I think it's good food for fair price. Although I'd like to try it a couple more times to be sure. The staff was super accommodating. They were nice and made me happy to support a small business. Some of y'all expecting a 5 star burger are unreasonable. You did notice the location and looks of the place right? I think it's a great place for being a little hole in the wall. A home-y hole-in-the wall place with an excellent burger (think Whataburger but much, much better and with a plethora of different options). The crinkle-cut fries were crispy goodness, just the right amount of potato. We were served by one man behind the counter who cooked everything up, and he was more than accommodating, although when we came in he was talking on the phone. It's a little hole in the wall place. I would not recommend it. The staff is wonderful and pleasant but the actual "burgers" are disgusting. I ordered the Swiss and it was not a swiss burger. The patty was gray, it did NOT taste like beef, there was an abundant amount of some kind of filler in the meat. A co-worker ordered the same and mentioned that her's was "slimy" in texture. Another co-worker ordered a gyro and said that it was half decent for a gyro. For me the quality of what they offered was sub-par even with McDonald's. You would get better tasting burgers and overall food at a McDonald's or other major fast-food chain restaurant. None of us nor my family would return or come here. Was really looking forward to a great meal but was disappointed. Ordered the premium chicken sandwich and it was awful. Definitely not premium. The patty was an overly fried, frozen, compressed piece of so called chicken. Just like the 0.99 one you get from jack in the box (but jack in the box is better). It had old wilted lettuce and the butt piece of a tomato. And it tasted worse then it looked. Still cold in the middle and brown inside. Took one bite after I replaced my lettuce with some I had at home and removed the tomatoes but couldn't bare it take another. Very gross. My boyfriends double burger was so so. Had no seasoning on the meat and the same old wilted lettuce I had but I think I would have been better off ordering a burger. The only decent thing was the seasoned fries. This a funky little spot in a non-descript strip mall but dang, they serve a pretty decent burger. And the seasoned fries were hot and crispy. Burger was cooked to order and was juicy and tasty. Seems to be a mom and pop place and the lady who waited on me and cooked my order was very polite and accomodating. I'm not often in this area but when I am I will be back. This place is a hidden gem! My husband and I are new to Irving and want to patronize locally-owned small businesses, and thanks to Yelp when we were looking for a good burger we were directed to Space Burger. The burgers are delicious, made to order and remind me of those you used to get at mom and pop burger places. I had the cheeseburger, husband had the bacon cheeseburger. The bacon was lean and cooked perfectly, the lettuce and tomato crisp and fresh. We should have had shakes too (hand spun of blue bell ice cream!) but we'll save that for the next trip. read more

We had such a fun little visit with the family that runs this place. I got a bacon cheeseburger and my husband got a gyro. We added sides of their seasoned fries and corn poppers. All totalled up to be $10 and some change. While we waited we visited with the owners daughter about our upcoming trip to India and they shared their stories and fun experiences. The chicken fried steak sandwich was excellent. The turkey burger was passable but good. Crinkle fries were hot and not heavily salted like most places. The price is very cheap. You'll have to wait a bit for the food cause it is completely cooked to order when you order it. The biggest problem (and it is a big problem) is that they often don't have the ingredients to make half the things on their menu that aren't a standard burger. Under new management. I have never been here before but as soon as we walked in the front door we were greeted and felt welcome and the atmosphere is wonderful. We proceeded to tell them we have never been here before. I'm on keto so I was going to order a burger with no bun they have a burger salad. It look just like a regular salad with a patty on top I added cheese and bacon. As soon as I bit into the patty the the flavors were unbelievably satisfying I haven't had a burger taste so good and juicy like this in a while. This is an awesome hole-in-the-wall place. The owners are super nice, remember customers and have no problem with special requests. They offer a great variety of items that you can't find in most fast food joints. The burgers are great, we LOVE the gyros and the crinkle cut fries are the best we've ever had - we haven't tried the other items yet as we're still getting our gyro/burger/fries fix on but we see other customers chowing down on the other items with obvious enjoyment. My husband and I tried this place for lunch today based on the reviews. I was totally expecting the hole in the wall atmosphere, small space and was not disappointed. I also expected from the reviews that I would be getting a great burger! I was pretty disappointed. Don't get me wrong the burger was ok but nothing to write home about. We both had the "Bacon" cheeseburger that many other people raved about but what they failed to mention is that, it is a "Turkey Bacon" cheeseburger. I'm ok with turkey bacon but for someone not expecting turkey bacon, it might be quite disappointing and not worth their time, so heads-up readers. I was going to have a shake (again a reviewers recommendation) but when I looked in the ice cream case and saw boxes sitting on top of the ice cream, I decided against it. The food was edible and cheap but nothing to go out of your way for. We most likely will not return to this establishment and wouldn't recommend it as a "Good Burger Joint". read more

This place is a hole-in-the-wall establishment in a somewhat run-down retail strip, with limited seating, but the food and the married couple running the place make up for any issues with the ambiance. I have had the gyro and the bacon cheeseburger here and for the price they were both great. The seasoned fries are also very good. They have a surprisingly large variety of items on the menu. I found this place a couple of weeks ago after dropping my kids off at karate and finally got a chance to try it. It is a simple family owned burger joint. The owner said that they just opened up recently. They were very nice and greeted everyone warmly. My wife and I both got the double double combo, The burger and fries were made after we ordered, came with all the trimmings and plenty of french fries. The burgers were hot fresh and delicious. The price was right too. It was only $5.99 for the combo. The basic combo was only $3.59. They had plenty of other selections too, like a fish sandwich, a chick fries steak sandwich and chicken tenders.
