This is probably one of the cutest spas I've ever been to. Everything is clean, the service is awesome, and they really pay attention to detail here, which really makes them stand out. The spa itself is on the smaller side, but wow! The decorations in the lounge (the illuminated clouds on the ceiling, and flowers) were amazing! So calming and relaxing. Before they take you to the back they collect your shoes and give you spa slippers and a warm damp hand towel (that smells amazing btw). In the locker room there are showers and a steam room. They provide everything you would need to clean up and refresh after your service. The massage I got was perfect! Super relaxing and the pressure was just right. Afterwards they give you tea and a snack. The craft ice was another small but significant detail that really makes everything feel luxurious. I would definitely return here! read more

Spa U'ilani is a hidden gem of a spa. I will definitely be returning when I'm back in Honolulu. After parking in their nearby, attached parking garage, when you get to Spa U'ilani, you're greeted by friendly workers. They give you a pair of slippers to change into and the comfiest bathrobe (I almost bought one myself). Before the massage, an associate showed us around and showed us where we could relax and where the lockers were to store our belongings and clothes. The locker room was very clean. It had showers and a steam room. They also had amenities like towels, toothbrushes and toothpaste, and more. The relaxing room was really nice. Since I was there around December, it was Christmas themed so I'm not sure if it always looks the same. I liked their light up cloud ceiling and relaxing, dim light. They had some healthy cranberry snacks and Hawaiian water (yum!). Massages were amazing. I wish I remembered both of my massage therapists' names (I visited twice). I got the lomi lomi and signature massage. Before both massages, they had me inhale something that smelled really nice. Both therapists were intuitive about what to work on. After the massage, they take you back to the relaxing room and offer you some tea and some kind of cracker. I went to Spa U'ilani twice this month - once for a deep tissue massage and another time for a jet peel facial Once you enter Spa U'ilani, they give you a hot towel to quickly refresh yourself prior. You are then given spa slippers and a comfy robe to change into. There are lockers available with keys as well. The amenities include a steam shower, showers, and a relaxing room. After each service, you are given a refreshing hibiscus tea and cracker snack. For my first time here, I got a deep tissue massage. I was scheduled to receive my massage at 12:30. Unfortunately, the person providing the massage didn't come get me till 12:45. 15 minutes later, the person came. She didn't apologize for the delay. Thankfully I did receive the whole 90 minutes as I booked. The massage itself was a typical deep tissue massage. Though I wish she provided more deep pressure on my shoulders, like I initially requested for. At the end of the massage, she proceeded to massage my head/scalp. Typically I would have enjoyed this, but my hair was in a braid, when she was massaging my scalp, so she was pulling my hair which was uncomfortable. I think I would like to try a deep tissue massage from another person next time. My second time here, I received the U'ilani Jet Peel facial. The esthetician was friendly right from the start! She found me in the waiting area, and came early. She asked if I would like to start early and didn't pressure me. I appreciated her being on time. She was welcoming and personable - and provided the best service. My skin was glowing afterwards! When checking out, the cashier told me since I am a resident nearby, I get 15% off. I tried U'ilani Spa for the first time today. It was such a lovely experience! The location is so convenient, and they also validate parking. The ambiance inside is clean, peaceful and relaxing. I got the 60 minute U'ilani Signature massage. I wanted 90 minutes, but I called for same day service, so I was lucky to get 60 minutes. Chikako was so good! Very professional, and consulted with me about what I wanted. After your service, they put you in their lounge and serve you a refreshing snack. They also provide all the amenities to have a nice shower afterwards if you choose to. I think I'll become a regular here! read more

Nah nah nah, but man... here is another, way long over due review. I remember my experience here like it was just yesterday. Our visit was on June 7, 2021, after we got married, after our wedding staycation at the Queen Kapiolani Hotel. Heard about Spa Uilani first of all, from couple of my friends on Instagram who posted they went... I looked into it, and automatically booked our appointment. I'm sorry, I can't recall if I had to put deposit or pay immediately, your best bet is to just visit their website at https://spauilani.com. They are located in the Kakaako district, same complex as YaYa's chophouse and seafood. Park in the parking garage, they will validate. Upon arrival, we filled out a form, immediately got our robes, and instructed us to change out of clothes in the bathroom, and wait in the beautiful waiting room. Omg, even the bathroom was so amazing and cleannn lol. Had lockers, a steam room, towels, shower, and all kine hygiene products, lotion, shampoo, etc... the waiting room on the other hand... was freaking amazinggg!! The decor, comfortable seating, laid back chairs, juice or tea for refreshments, feeling like a princess, and so many photo opportunities, was just so amazing and we didn't even get to the relaxation part yet. They'll call you from the waiting room once ready. So, was kind of sad, because I requested to be next to my wife, like to have a couples massage in the same room, but that wasn't the case. I really wanted to enjoy and be next to my newly wife, but we were in separate rooms (rooms next to each other lol) but you know what.. it's all good. I took it as it's okay, just relax and enjoy. Was just happy being there. Man, totally forget my masseuse name!! Sorry!! But she knew my sister lol, so we had some good conversations!! Was an amazing one hour Swedish massage, took a nap here and there cuz was just so relaxing, and felt so good. She asked what needs more attention, I told her none, just whole body, head to toe. Next thing you know, woke up and was done.. all pau. After massage, we got sent back to the beautiful, gorgeous waiting/relaxing room, where we got to chill, and was presented with our first ever, charcuterie board with a glass of wine each for us!!! I was going to cry. That was like the cherry on top of our whole experience. And it just made our marriage celebration extra special!! Thank you so much Spa Uilani for giving us an unforgettable, memorable, pleasant time. After our charcuterie board and drinks, it was time to hele on out of the most beautiful heavenly room... so we went to go hang out in the bathroom lol, steamroom, showered, and that was done. It's been a long time goal for me to get a massage and my besties made it happen as my birthday gift! Their system is pretty straight forward with making an appointment online. They just require a credit card on file for cancellation/no-show purposes. I felt like I was in a different world -- after I filled out some paperwork, they had me change into their slippers and a robe (bathroom is super fancy btw) and you put everything in your locker. It's recommended to take off all your jewelry so that the massage oil doesn't get on it (earrings should be ok). I did the 90 minute Deep Tissue Massage and it was soooooo worth it. My masseuse was Rie and she was very thorough with what I wanted to target and made sure the pressure wasn't hurting me. At one point, I think I dozed off but I was still aware of everything. I love the piano music in the room; they even played Euphoria by BTS and that made my day :) Once the 90 minutes is over (booo) and you compose yourself again, they lead you to a resting room where they give you some fruit tea and a rice krispies treat! They don't tell you how long you can stay in that room but just be mindful. Once you're all done, you head back to the locker room and I believe you can shower or use their steam room. I opted out because I was lazy but I hope to try out their steam room next time. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to unwind from their daily life. 10/10 in my book! read more

July 30,2022 - Saturday Visited this location with my best-friends for my birthday celebration. This year I wanted to just have a relaxing day and I've seen this location on Yelp + recommend from another friend who is a member at this place. While heading to this location we semi got lost because we were unsure of where the parking lot would be. Great news, parking is located on Pohukaina Street which is right after you see the down to earth store, the parking looks like it's just for residence BUT it real life says "Public Parking" and they also validate. But be sure to park in the stalls that says "visitors" because I think it's mixed in with the reserved parking as well. As soon as stepping into the front door you're immediately greeted asked to sit down & remove your slippers. They give you these really comfortable slippers + robes & an introduction of this spa. Walked into the ladies room and we felt boujiee & the vibe instantly felt like this will be a great experience even though it just got started. I'm honestly not a massage person so I was unsure of what type of massage I wanted but I just went with the Lomi Lomi style. The lady (I want to say Yukiko ; I'm not confident if that was her name sorry) I had made me feel very comfortable ; reassuring and relaxed. We all had our own rooms at first I was sad about it but then actually it's good we didn't share because we would've been talking for days which is how we are when we're together. When you walk into the room you can put your items in like this sanitary bag which is great to know they do take precaution for peoples health & being clean. You can just feel the calming of the room and atmosphere; setting of this place felt so amazing. My massage felt amazing ; relaxed I was able to get that tension from my shoulders out. After our massage we got to sit in this relaxing room which has bottled water and snacks. Then we had a surprise which they had cupcakes & this charcuterie board of small sandwiches + Hibiscus tea drink (which I'm not one to like tea BUT this was amazing) & we sang HBD. After we was done enjoying our little time we went back to the ladies locker room and we had the option to use their facilities. Which is great as well they have a steam room ; showers ; and lockers to lock your things while you're getting a massage and it comes with key locks that you'll hold on too. Overall, our time here at Spa U'ilani was great experience I would definitely recommend to others and I am looking into becoming a member because of the enhanced experience. Next time I visit this location I would love to try and getting a facial since I've always wanted one. I took my husband here for his birthday. I chose this spa because I wanted to treat him to a more elevated experience compared to our usual massage (we normally go to Jai Dee Thai massage, where a 60 min couples massage costs $110 ). When I saw that Spa Uilani boasts a steam room (one for men & one for women), I was sold on choosing this place. We arrived about 40 min early so that we could enjoy this amenity. It turned out that the steam rooms on both the men and women's side were broken. I was extremely disappointed given that this was the main selling point for spending more than double my usual, and we also got there very early for nothing. BEWARE- we got to chat with a spa member and concluded that this was NOT a rare situation, as he did say that the steam room does break fairly often. Since we had nothing to do but sit and wait, I found myself feeling very angry and anxious about the situation. The receptionist told us she'll let us know if it gets fixed. I couldn't just sit there & wait as I knew it would affect my ability to enjoy the massage. I decided to express my disappointment. She called the owner and came back with the following: 1. the steam rooms prob won't get fixed by the time our massage ends, 2. the owner can offer us a 15% discount ($40.50 off of $270). I'll be honest, I was not impressed with the offer at all but it's not like we really had another option. Positives - The staff was nice. I studied Thai massage at Wat Pho in Bangkok, so I'm interested in different techniques, and Asia explained to me the fundamentals of the many types of massage that she studied in school. The table you lie on when you get a massage is heated! At first I was surprised but the temperature is perfect. Before heading in though, you change into a rope and slippers supplies by the spa. There's a waiting room as well along with some mini water bottles. After your amazing a massage the seems like 20 mins long, you receive an ice tea and rice cracker to enjoy. Overall, I felt extremely relaxed afterwards. My whole body felt amazing. I wish I got a longer massage than 60 mins though. Definitely worth a try. Spa U'ilani is located in Kakaako connected to one of the apartment complexes with Down to Earth, Yaya's, etc. If you're lucky, try to find street parking - if not, you can also get validation from the Spa. They have all their information on their website so you can easily choose between services. When I arrived, they helped to check me in, gave me slippers and a robe to change in to, and guided me to the changing room. There, you can get changed and store your things in a locker. The changing rooms have showers, bathrooms and tons of amenities. This was my very first massage so I chose a swedish massage. The massage room is very nice - the lights were dimmed and soothing music was playing. When you get in, you take off your mask and put it in a uv sanitizer. The massage bed is nice and heated and they make sure the temperature is just perfect. The massage itself was wonderful! It was a great first time and my masseuse was great. She made sure that I was comfortable the whole time. I was very appreciative that she would check in every now and then. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was great! My boyfriend had done a lot of research and found this spa had a lot of great reviews on yelp. One of the things many people mention is their relaxation room - after your service they serve you hibiscus tea and okoshi. You can also reserve food in advance if you'd like to stay for a while. I sat in there for a short time - other people kept their mask on when they werent eating which is nice during covid times. After that, I took a shower and checked out. Their entire staff is fantastic and take wonderful care of their guests from the moment they walk in. I've been going to Spa Uilani regularly since they opened in Kakaako and this is my favorite place to get massages and facials. Upon arrival, their team checks you in and offers you a warm oshibori towel before giving you a robe and slippers to change into in their cozy locker rooms that have showers and a steam room. Before your service, you relax in their lounge until your massage therapist or esthetician greets you and escorts you to your treatment room. I usually get the 90 minutes deep tissue massage and the 90 minutes Desembre facial and both are fantastic. They have such a talented and friendly team who provide wonderful services. My favorite massage therapists are Yumi, Chikako & Allie and my favorite estheticians are Nolani and Paige. After your treatment, they guide you back to their lounge for refreshments. They go all out with decorating for all the holidays and it's always so fun to see how creative they get each season. It really adds to the wonderful ambiance of this spa. Aaaaah what a glorious time at Spa Uilani!! I got 2 gift certificates for my bday so had to make an appt asap, I was able to book only a few days in advance and it was easy to do so online. I booked a dual massage for me & my sister, we both got a deep tissue. Upon arrival, we were given a hot towel for our hands, a cozy plush robe and spa slippers. We undressed in their locker room which was kind of small - equipped with 2 toilets. 3 showers and about 10 lockers. It got pretty tight in there since it was a busier Saturday so that was kinda awkward lol. But there was everything... showers were spacious with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Lotion, a razor and everything you need to clean up afterwards. We then headed to the lounge for a few minutes, which literally looked like being in the clouds. The massage I had with Yumiko was great, she was realllly strong and did a good job getting my knots out. My sisters first time getting a massage and she also really enjoyed it! We went back to the lounge to unwind some more and they noticed it was my bday and brought a cupcake along with their signature tea & treat, they also had water & nuts in the lounge as well. For my 30th birthday, I wanted to treat myself to something relaxing since I work, own a baking business, and am a new mommy lol. Swedish massages are my favorite, and I've been meaning to try this place out, so I booked a 90 minute Swedish massage and a 60 minute facial for my birthday. Taylor was so accommodating when helping me book my appointment and when I arrived for my appointment :) sweetest guy ever ARRIVAL: once I arrived and was checked in, they took my temperature, gave me rubber type of slippers that were sanitized and took my slippers and kept it in a little box.. then they gave me a robe and walked me to the women's locker room (I'll get to that in a second) the robe they give you is SO luxurious! No flimsy material here! It's so fluffy and warm on the inside and has a weight to it.. I could definitely take a nap with this on lol WOMENS LOCKER ROOM: absolutely gorgeous, modern, and chic. They had good-sized lockers to put your belongings in and everything was very clean. There were two private toilets, a steam room, two showers, and several vanity sinks as well. The showers were huge and it had waterfall shower heads which made it super relaxing. Also, Spa Uilani really thought of everything! In addition to towels and bath towels, they had packaged disposable razors, toothbrush/toothpaste, hair brushes, cotton pads, q-tips, tampons, pads, shower caps, amazing guava scented lotion, hair dryer, shaving mousse.. okay you get the picture lol. SWEDISH MASSAGE: upon entering, they had a nice little container to put my mask and locker key in.. once I laid down on the bed, I was surprised by how comfy the massage bed was! It was lightly heated, cushiony, and even had a soft fleecy blanket on top. To start off the massage, the massage therapist used aromatherapy oils near my face to smell which really enhanced the experience. The massage itself was very relaxing, and he was sure to make sure you were okay and that the pressure was okay. When it was time to flip onto my back, he placed a towel on my eyes and even had a super light and breathable face mask for my safety. The 90 minutes went by so fast, I didn't want it to end lol MARINI LUMINATE FACIAL (60 minutes): this was my first facial, and it definitely won't be my last. The person doing my facial was very sweet and informative of what she was putting on my face. The facial was 60 minutes long, and like the massage, I didn't want it to end. During the 60 minutes, my face was cleaned with some products, then my face was steamed, exfoliated, and then she put the mask on my face. While the mask was on, she gave me a shoulder, neck and head massage. Afterwards, my skin looked rejuvenated and glowy! Also, what was really cool was that during my facial, my mask was placed in a container and it was sanitized by (I think) UV rays.. such a nice touch during these weird COVID times. LOUNGE: in between my massage and facial, and after, I got to relax in their lounge. It was a beautiful yet sweetener environment and the ceiling looked cool with cloud-like decorations. Everything was sanitized, they had water bottles and light snack pouches and lounge chairs were comfy. They brought me their signature hibiscus iced tea (omg.. this was SO good, I should have got more lol!), a little furikake puffed rice snack, and even brought me a cupcake (chocolate with a light peanut butter frosting) with a candle in it for my birthday! Taylor said his daughter actually made the cupcakes, and it was both pretty and delicious! After relaxing in the lounge for a bit, I went back to the locker room and spent 5 minutes in the steam room (amazinglyyy relaxing). Knowing I was going to dinner in a couple hours and showering at home wouldn't be peaceful since I'd be rushing to take care of my daughter, I decided to shower in Spa Uilani's beautiful showers... heavenly! Whatever shampoo and conditioner they use is amazing because I didn't even brush my hair and my hair is so silky! PARKING: parking validation is only for 1 hour.. so since I spent 3 hours there, I still had to pay $9 for parking Whew, that was a long review but there was so much to cover! Overall, I HIGHLY recommend coming here, and I can honestly say it was one of the most beautiful spas I've been to (and I've been to a lot.. even in Thailand!). I also love how clean everything was and all the precautions they are taking because of COVID. The amenities and services are definitely worth the prices! My girlfirend recommended this spa for me and my sis. In Keauhou Lane right across from Down to Earth. I walked from work and my sis was dropped off, but was told they validate for 1 hour. Got Uilani massages and facials. I think I had the Retinol and I forget what the sis got. Dressing room is very tiny and not the easiest to put stuff down, but it works. Sauna turned on and it freaked us out a lil ... waiting for the horror movie moment when you see the hand slam against the glass, but luckily it didn't happen. The little lounge area is also little. It's cozy though and there were signs indicating what had been cleaned and was available to sit on...loved that. Everyone kept trying to pull the doors instead of sliding them. We had our massages first. I wanna say I had Derek, but I keep thinking Raymond, so really not sure. Massage was good. Relaxing. Probably good have used more pressure but really wasn't in the mood to be in pain. I also should have gotten 90 minutes - 60 is just too short. I generally get warm during massages but the room must have been really cold because I never did. There must have been confusion, because I was brought out of the room, then brought back in to the same room for my facial. Think he forgot I had more services. Didn't matter though...cuz I like to get up and stretch my legs. Facial was with Amy. She turned the heat up on my bed and gave me an extra blanket. Finally got warm. I am pretty sure I feel asleep and snored a few times. Was sooo good and my skin felt nice and clean and tight after. Husband and I got a couples massage and I wish I remembered our therapists names but unfortunately I'm terrible with names. Very beautiful and clean spa. Loved utilizing the amenities such as the steam room and showers located in the locker rooms. I also appreciated being able to store my personal belongings in a Sanitized pouch while getting my massage. After our massage we enjoyed some amazing drinks and a cute and tasty charcuterie board. Travis was great in helping us book a facial and massage through Yelp- I wasn't even in Hawaii yet, but everything was confirmed before I got here so I didn't have to worry about it. I honestly regret coming here...let me tell you why. As soon as you walk in, it feels like you check into a hotel. You are immediately greeted by their front desk recipients and right away they already know who you are (might be some esp type of thing or they are just great at giving customer service). The aesthetics of U'ilani Spa was amazing, again it gives you that hotel type of feeling. Anyway, you get checked in and they give you a comfy robe and some spa slippers for you to borrow while you're there. They show you to the bathroom/locker room/sauna which was extremely well kept, they really make sure that COVID has no place here! Once you are ready, you go to their lounge (separate from waiting room/front desk area) where your therapist will be waiting for you and they lead you to your room. They explain which package you had gotten (in my case I got the C-Esta Facial) and then you are ready to roll. Now this was my very first facial like ever. So when researching places to go, it took us awhile to decide which spa to pick. OH MY GOODNESS. Once it started, I felt as if my soul had left my body and I was honestly just floating there. My therapist had done an AMAZING AMAZING job, it felt as if she had 20 hands and not to mention all the oils/creams they put on your face smells absolutely wonderful. Once you're done, you are lead to the lounge where they serve you some tea and a snack. They also have some water and other snacks for you have as well. Okay so why do I regret coming here? Well because now I'm honestly going to want to come every week. My bestie's bday present to me for my 50th. She knew someone that went and gave good reviews so we decided to give it a try. Awesome experience Staff was friendly, decor very classy and Covid precautions above board. I think bc my name is Japanese they booked me with a Japanese speaking masseuse named Yumiko. She allowed me to practice my rusty Japanese with her and was very engaging. Great massage, products they use feel good and smell heavenly. After my wonderfully relaxing massage and partial facial, we were treated to their signature hibiscus tea and a rice cracker snack. This hidden gem is nestled in kaka'ako, right behind Down to Earth organic store and Yaya's Chophouse. I was very pregnant and my OB told me to get a prenatal massage. The spa staff was responsive to questions about health safety and assured that their staff was fully vaccinated and masked. They also told me that the prenatal massage involves that special pillow with a hole in it for pregnant women. From start to finish, this spa provides an entire experience. They've thought of everything. Upon entry, you're greeted by a friendly staff member with a warm towel in a chandelier lit lobby area. Then you're given lovely amenities from the slippers, fluffy robe, and escorted to a locker room complete with bathroom, steam room and shower. You then wait for your masseuse in a heavenly lounge, with ambient lighting glowing against their mural art, cloud-like ceiling, a green wall, replete with water and snacks. My masseuse was very careful and considerate to ensure my comfort throughout. My stomach was rumbling by the end and luckily, they brought me back to the waiting room and provided a delicious toasted rice and macadamia square along with iced hibiscus tea (in a short glass with a huge spherical ice cube! I haven't had a drink for 9 months and this was the closest I've come to feeling that fancy). When I went to pay, it was so easy. They even pre-calculate the tip for you to check, which I love. They also offer membership that provides special rates for treatments. The facilities at Spa U'ilani are sanitized regularly so you can relax and enjoy your treatment knowing that they took special care in ensuring a safe environment. I booked a 90 minute Swedish massage with Allie and every minute of it was amazing! I should say, every minute that I was awake was amazing! I hate it when I fall asleep during massages, but when it's that relaxing, it's practically inevitable. The staff at Spa U'ilani are professional and made my experience stellar. Your slippers are taken and you are given comfortable, sanitized slides at the entrance, then guided inside to change into thick, comfy robes, lock your belongings in individual lockers, and wait in the quiet, serene waiting room! Clear instructions are given every step of the way. I enjoyed the 60 minute C-Esta, a facial that was so relaxing and wonderful, I didn't want it to end! Johna works her amazing skills on you from the minute you enter her room, explaining exactly what she is doing and making sure you are good! She works on Saturdays and Monday and Wednesday evenings. Her facial is AMAZING! The experience ends with a snack of tea and a goodie in the tranquil waiting room, then back to retrieve your things from the spotless changing room, pay, and out the door!
