My sister and I needed a deep tissue massage while on vacation in Oahu. I reviewed the different places near our hotel and Cocolomi sounded pretty good. I called and made reservations for 2 at 8pm. The place is inside a building on the 3rd floor. The massage therapist I had did a lot of rubbing. I asked that she work on my neck and shoulder because the tightness was giving me a headache. She used a little pressure and went back to the rubbing. The massage did not help me whatsoever and I would not recommend this place if you are looking or needing a deep tissue massage. My sister's massage therapist was a little better and working on her knots. She had some relief with her therapist. Will not be back to this place. I usually do not have bad experiences with businesses I find in Yelp, one of the first negative experiences. read more

Hubby and I came here as part of our anniversary day. It was close by to our hotel with. Walking distance in a shopping mall. We were able to reserve our time the day before and we got there a bit early to fill out their info sheet prior to heading into our room for the 90 minute couples massage. The ladies were very kind and sweet. They asked each of what areas needed attention and what type of massage. Once the massage started it was so nice and relaxing. The lady that worked on me had the perfect pressure and even found some kinks I was not aware of until I told her to lighten up but she was so good and understanding. The only thing I noticed was the walls are thin as we were able to hear another couple head to their room for their couple but it was pretty much quiet the whole time. She really worked on my lower back, which felt incredible. I had asked for medium pressure -- the upper back started out a little strong for me, but I adjusted quickly and it turned out to be just what I needed. Went in for couples massage and it easy to make a reservation the day before over the phone. We had an excellent experience. What stood out: - the whole place was clean, bright, and smelled lovely. Room was clean and staff was ready to get us started. - friendly front staff- very welcoming! The lady greeting us asked if was Kathleen and was happy to greet us - not in a fake way. Walked us through add ons without being pushy. - Tomo was my masseuse and was very knowledgeable. She looked at my back and could immediately see I was side sleeper. She gently asked if two places on my back were in pain - and she was right!!! She recommended both Lomi Lomi and shiatsu combo techniques and would gently warn me if something would be a little painful (it wasn't - but a little tender). She also made recommendations on my body that had low circulation (Were cold spots on my body) and how to mitigate with heating pad etc. I've never had such a thoughtful masseuse. She explained each body holds different areas of stress that can manifest as pain/knots and she loved to figure out what a client needed - like a puzzle. You can tell she took her job seriously and also wanted her client to get the very best out of the experience. One of the best massages I have had. We walked in without an appointment and they were so accommodating that they were able to fit us in within the next hour for a couples massage. Honestly, just pay the extra five bucks and ask for Kishiko, you won't regret it. I booked her for both reflexology and a facial, and they were amazing. I've tried a few other spots on the island, like Shirley's Foot & Spa and Kamaaina Massage. They were fine, but Kishiko at Cocolomi is on another level. The prices are better here too: 10% off for couples, and they don't tack on that annoying 4% fee just for using a credit card. I came here during my trip in April 2025 and again this August, and I don't even know why I bothered trying anywhere else. From now on, Cocolomi is the only place I'm booking when I visit and want to relax. Clean facility, reasonable rates and Kishiko! Highly recommended and don't forget to tip, the therapist work hard. I'd like to mention that if you'd like a relaxing massage that will have you sleeping like a baby, Yuriko and Saori are awesome too! We had a tremendous experience yesterday with the couples massage. Early and I could tell we would be cared for by committed professionals. The staff was lovely. The massage was professional and thorough. My therapist worked closely with some neck and shoulder pain that I had been experiencing. I asked that she feel free to apply intense pressure on my sore trapezoid. She very much accommodated this request. The pain was expected and manageable. But I did have to breathe through it and considered if tears would actually come out of my eyes! We will definitely return to this location if we are ever lucky enough to be back in Waikiki. My wife's experience was similar. She is coming off an episode with her shoulder, and again the massage professional tended to her needs extremely well. To be clear, expect to pay $80 per person. I had (insert therapist name here) though I wanted the raved about other therapist. She kept telling me to "relax," and well, for any female (like me), telling someone to relax is just not as effective as actually doing things to help them relax, aka a great massage. Just going to get to the point on the 2 star. Called to make appt at 1:30pm asked if they have a couples 90 min deep tissue massage at 2pm? Receptionist says she was going to call me back, because she wanted to check the schedules and staff and time. Receptionist calls back at 1:40 to confirm they were able to do a 90min couples massage. We immediately left the hotel and got there on time at 2pm. As we arrived she then reiterated and showed us on their paper the 90-minute massage and the price. She then gave us a form to fill out. As then the staff arrived and they spoke in their language, shortly after the receptionist comes over and tells us Unfortunately they don't have the 90 minute and that it was only a 60 Minute. I don't know what went wrong but it's very obvious that they either lie to us so that they can get us to the location and then switched it on us and we couldn't back out since we were already there. Had she had told us that she didn't have 90 minutes we had moved on to another massage place that could accommodate the time we wanted. Or is it secondly they are being slightly racist due to the fact that we're not japanese? Why would someone make a decision not to do the 90 minutes as they arrived and saw who we were? I am writing this because I just want the owner and the staff to understand that doing business this way already left a bad taste in the client's mouth right off the bat when they are supposed to have a relaxing massage at their facility. To be lied to or tricked prior to her service will not make your service any more relaxing. The massage was okay although my husband liked his, but not sure iif he jnows because he was snoring haha.. I was stuck between Lavender and Peppermint ..and end up getting Peppermint which was fantastic! I ended up falling asleep a few times and even caught myself snoring a bit and woke up to it LOL ...and that's when you know your masseuse did a great job :) Pricing is very affordable and we also got an additional 10% discount for booking a couples massage so we really appreciated that. Nothing special, very disappointed actually. I mentioned my areas of tension/pain points I wanted the masseuse to focus on, but she rarely worked that area. Too much jerking with the fingers, not smooth at all. I paid extra for them to use coconut oil vs the other oil that's not good for the body and she rarely used the oil. Actually she was skimpy with it. I get massages in a regular basis (over 25yrs as this is my addiction to my fitness), lately 5-6 days a week. When I session was 80% done (from a 90 mins) I got so frustrated that I finally said I'm not wanting my arms, hands, fingers, nor legs so can you please work on my areas of tension. When it came time to pay I told the front desk this info and it seems they can care less and said nothing. Therefore, that breathe giving them my feedback was worthless.
