The parking is just "go check if it's open" and not "this stall is open". If I were the business owner I would improve this to streamline the experience. For as much as I paid for the massage I would have expected parking to be validated. It wasn't. What prevents a five star review: they asked what was sore but they didn't focus on those areas at all. The last 10 minutes of the massage was aggressively rubbing my scalp which didn't feel good and honestly was the worst part of the massage. Tried the couples massage here and it was just ok. If you're looking for a professional massage/spa type of experience this building is probably not gonna be your jam. The pricing is really reasonable compared to other massage places which is why I assume the reviews are good. I've tried many different businesses in century center and they are all pretty similar. I think I'll stick to more professional businesses as the massages here are always done either too hard, too soft, or they are taking or texting on their phones during the massage. We took an uber from Waikiki for $20 --upon arrival, take the elevator to the 24th floor. They'll have you undress mostly and face down on the massage table. They'll next hour is a blend of Swedish style and shiatsu plus contortion /traction stretching. Definitely a good stretch and massage. Go for the 90 minutes! I booked a couples massage for my husband and I for his birthday gift. When we got there we were immediately put in a room. We noticed the handles on the ceiling, which was a little intimidating. Once the massage happened it was amazing. They cracked and massaged until everything was loose. We felt so relaxed. After leaving, my husband asked me everyday when we were going to go back. Came here after an exhausting day and they did an amazing job. It was a total of $110 for an hour for the cup massage and it was worth it. They were very friendly and welcoming. They also have spots reserved in a car park which totals to two dollars which is pretty good. They also require you to take off your shoes so hopefully you're wearing socks and also cloths other than undergarments. We got the couples massage and they were very kind and always checked to make sure we were good and comfortable. They also asked if we had any pain and any soreness or issues so they could focus on that spot which was super kind of them. Part of this massage is a oil treatment where they oil down and massage you so if you don't like oils on your body, make sure you opt out and tell them before hand. (First time Hawaii tourist) I did the couples massage for 90 minutes. I think the price is quite fair/cheap for the amount of time you get and the extensiveness of the massage. Some massage places might use a massage gun or some other device to help reduce labor, but the ladies here did everything by hand and feet. I asked for a deep strong massage and I got one. It was intense like similar to a sports massage but more for relaxation (sounds contradictory, but it was relaxing afterwards). The staff is nice and friendly, they gave us some thai tea after the session, and they were great with instruction. The oils they used for the massage smell like the Asian herbal ointment stuff and minty, so right up my alley as my mom used something similar when I was a kid. It's kinda like menthol with a twist. Aside from that experience, just for other logistics: The building was under maintenance when we came so the AC was down and the lobby area was going through some work. I think in general, Hawaii doesn't really have a lot of buildings where the majority/all of the interior is AC'ed, from my experience. Was hot in the elevator and lobby but I kinda got used to it. It's also an older looking building. The parking is tight (kind of a pattern I've noticed in Hawaii), and the parking lot is strangely configured. With the validation, I think it came out to $2. They have validated parking which was $2 and you just gotta make sure you park in the guest spots. Double check the elevators you go into since one side doesn't go up all the way to the 24th floor. We've had Thai massages before back in the Bay Area and in San Diego and we felt the Thai massages here in Oahu here are the most legit, thorough and best deal. $110 for 60 min per couple with an ocean view... how can you beat that? Pay in cash though so you don't get charged extra for using a card. My upper back and shoulders tend to be very tense due to my line of work and my legs were super sore from all the activities we had done during our stay in Oahu. My masseuse (didn't get her name but she was wearing a black Fila shirt ) was very attentive and checked in a few times to make sure I was ok. I usually get medium firm because I have so many knots. Right away she noticed my shoulders were super tense and was rubbing out the knots. My neck and back cracked immediately. My back was also cracking so much when my masseuse used both her hands to push down on both sides of my spine in increments. Nothing like self care! Here making an appointment was quick and easy, located in the Century Center parking is simple but tricky. You need to tell the attendant you're going to Jai Dee and be given a laminated parking info that will direct you to the "exact" reserved stall to park (if you park in guest you will be charged the normal parking fee!) display that sign on your dash and bring the ticket to be validated so that you get the special $2 rate. Then there's a parking elevator to exit and the main building so allow some time to get there. Once you're there decor looks a bit cheesy but the massage is definitely authentically amazing!! The best deal I've gotten so far that actually massage the spots you say needs work and you can hear the cracks and crackle lol!! VALIDATE: Remember to bring your ticket with you once you park. You can validate your car with Thai Massage people and then pay $2 when you leave. Jai Dee Thai offers a variety of massage therapies including obviously Traditional Thai Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Swedish Massage, Hot Stones Massage, Foot Massage, etc. The massage he chose for us was the 100 minute Traditional Thai massage. Jai Dee Thai is located on the 24th floor of the Teapresso Bar Centery center, and garage parking can be validated by Jai Dee Thai. Make sure you grab a ticket from the ticket booth so it can be validated. Upon arriving, our massage therapists who were two cute little old ladies led us to our room and got us started right away. We didn't need to fill out forms or anything. No time was wasted. Our room had a floor to ceiling window that overlooked the city. This was the first time I've been in a massage room with such a great view. The massage beds had red cover sheets on them, and the walls were decorated with paper heart cut outs. I turned to my husband, "Did you tell them it's our anniversary?". He said, "yeah...", then, quickly admitted he didn't actually say anything about our anniversary and that the room was just set up this way for the couples massage. The Traditional Thai massage was very relaxing. Our two therapists were very thorough and did not skip any areas. Though we've experienced Thai massage once before in Thailand, this was the real deal. One of the ladies held herself up with the bars on the ceiling and walked on my husband's back during the massage. Towards the end of the massage, the two ladies helped us into various assisted stretches, which is very typical of Traditional Thai massage and great for relieving muscle tension. The two ladies worked on us non-stop throughout the entirety of the 100 minutes. We came out of our massage feeling rejuvenated. If you actually want to have your body worked on, and not just have a spa experience, venture out ~1 mile outside of Waikiki. You can get way more for your money by heading over to Jai Dee Thai than overpaying for a massage at the hotel. I would highly recommend making a reservation first though. Called yesterday (9/21) to make an 11am appointment for a 70-min couples massage after our Wedding today (9/22). A lady answered the phone and said no problem. She asked for my name and phone #. After getting off the phone, she had texted me directions to the building and instructions on how to park. I replied confirmation of duration (70-min) & pricing. She confirmed & said she would give us a good room. Upon arrival to unit #2402 today, we were not greeted. Some lady with a long black ponytail came up the elevator with us (with mail packages in her arms) and entered the unit before us. She did not allow us entry or move out of the way. She eventually left and looked nervously at us. Asked if we had an appointment. I said, "yes". She said we should ring the doorbell. And she nervously stood off to the side. All strange behavior in my opinion. Then a smaller asian woman came to the door (from inside), told us to take our shoes off and let us in. We took our shoes off and walked inside to a small waiting area. We stood there for about ten (10) seconds and then a third lady walked in (from outside) and ushered back out of the unit (back into the main hallway with the elevators). We put our shoes back on. Annoying. Then she showed us into the unit immediately to the left. We took our shoes off again. They had us pass us a curtain on the left with a man talking. And ushered us into Room #2. Beautiful corner unit. Told us to undress. Lay face down under the red sheet. While undressing, a man knocked on the door and opened it. I am female, mind you, and he entered while I was undressing and took no note of it. Very uncomfortable. They kept asking if we were doing a 2-hour massage. I said, "no, 70-minutes for $120". They continued to ask the same thing and told us that the room we were standing in half-naked was only for 2-hour bookings (we did not ask to be shown into this room). I showed one of the ladies my text thread with the confirmation of duration and pricing and she didn't seem to care and kept asking for my phone # instead. During this whole debacle, I continuously asked three different people how much a 2-hour session would be. No one could answer me. But they kept telling us that that room was only for 2-hours & their boss said it was for a 2-hour booking. If this is their strategy to upsell, it is a very poor one. We would have been more than willing to pay but no one could answer me when I asked about pricing. Also, they had already shown us into the room and we had undressed. Poor form to move us. They send you the details on how to find the suite (they're located on FL24). They didn't specify or show us options on what massage we'll be getting until we were laid out on the bed. Jai Dee is always available. They have two condos in the high-rise building with multiple massage rooms and they are always fab. I can call and ask for a massage in the next 15 or 30 mins and they are better than all the regular Thai or Deep Tissue massages that I've tried in the typical spots. They must all live in the building or nearby. They text me immediately to confirm and instructions. I pull in the garage, grab a parking ticket for guest parking which is straight in and along the back. I've never not found any but you can let them know if all the spots are full. Walk to the lobby and take the elevator to the 24th floor. You'll see signs for Jai Dee. The space isn't new, or fancy, or spa-like...but clean and comfortable and the quality of the massages is on par with those I've had in Thailand or Vietnam. I've never had the same lady and they're all excellent. My favorite is the natural back crack that is not invasive like the chiropractor. My neck is a little wonky so I no longer opt for them stepping on my back but I used to really like it. And the view is just a bonus. You can pay by credit card, I believe it's about $1 a minute, and I try to tip by cash. They'll validate and parking will only be a few bucks. Then I'll be on my way! read more
