I walked into Tiffanys Thai Massage in downtown Honolulu feeling like a pretzel that lost a fight. Tight shoulders. Locked hips. Neck that sounded like gravel. I walked out feeling like someone quietly rebuilt me from the inside. This is not a light rub with spa music and cucumber water. This is actual Thai work from people who know what they are doing. They ask you what hurts, how much pressure you can handle, and then they go to work with laser focus. Elbows, forearms, body weight, stretches that open up spots you forgot could move. I asked for deep and I actually got deep. Not pretending to be deep. Deep. The pressure is not cookie cutter. It is adjusted the entire time. They check in, they listen, and then they lean in right where you need it. My lower back and shoulder blades were both a mess and by the time we were done I could raise my arm over my head without that little catch that has been there for months. Book at least ninety minutes. Sixty minutes is warm up. Ninety is the reset button. If you are wrecked from travel, jiu jitsu, paddling, lifting, sitting at a desk pretending posture is real, anything like that, do not cheat yourself. Give them time to actually fix you. The setting is its own flex. You ride up to a high floor in an older Bishop Street building and step into this clean calm room with an unreal city view. You are getting your shoulders dug out while looking over downtown Honolulu and watching the light on the buildings. It feels local and kind of secret, not tourist cute, and that makes it even better. The staff is kind in that real way where you feel taken care of without any fake script. They validated parking in the same building which in downtown Honolulu is basically gold. Prices are completely fair for Oahu especially for the level of skill and the length of the session. Hours run from morning to late night so you can actually get worked on after work and not just on your day off. My favorite moment was when I realized I had stopped bracing. You know that instinct where you tense up before someone digs into a knot because you are expecting pain. Halfway through I realized I was not doing that anymore. The therapist had dialed in the pressure so perfectly that it hurt in a good way and released instead of making me curl up and fight it. I have had a lot of massages that felt nice. This one felt necessary. This felt like maintenance for people who live in their bodies and use them for real life. It is the kind of place you bookmark and come back to every time you are on island because you know they will actually fix you and not just glide oil on you for an hour. If you are in Honolulu and you are sore, tight, stressed, jet lagged, mentally cooked, or all of the above, come here. Ask for real pressure. Ask for the long session. Let them do what they do. This place is just ok. Booked with their online link from their IG and that is a 5/5!!! However their overall service and ease of finding this place isn't the best. Came here with my mom and I booked the deep tissue massage. Did not feel like a deep tissue massage at all. Was basically like a Thai massage. My masseuse stepped on my back and the pressure was ok. You can feel her shaking trying to go harder. My mom fell asleep and was hella snoring so that's how I knew she automatically hated it. The view is nice and parking is convenient. However the validation doesn't even cover the entire stay so we still had to pay $3.50 after 1 hour. That maybe a small amount to pay but it should be free after how much we're spending. I booked a 90min deep tissue massage. My massage was between a 3-4 star. I'd give it a 3.5 if I could, but it's def not a 4. My masseuse came in and asked if it was a 90min deep tissue and asked where I'd like to focus on (neck/shoulder and calves). It was a weird massage, but symmetrical, a left leg and right leg were not massaged the same. Some parts felt like a light Swedish massage and some parts felt like a firm Swedish (and not a deep tissue). It wasn't bad, but mediocre. Likely wouldn't return. Hubby and i splurged and got the 150 minutes each with hot stone and scrubbing. Deep tissue part of it was great, and the Thai massage part was awesome. However, when it came to the other part...: I'm not sure if I would want to have that experience again. They put oil on every single part of your body... and I mean everything. If you're not used to being completely naked in front of others this is not the place for you. When it came to the scrub they put it in every place even in your skin folds and butt crack. They wipe it all off when done. But you're still really oily after and they tell you to take a shower there. They do provide soap and stuff, but you can't get completely clean. Came home took another shower and it took a few scrubs to get all the excess oil off. Parking is plentiful. If you go on a Sunday or after hours you may need to call someone to let you in, since the building part is secure. I got the old lady with the rough hands which was not pleasant but she was strong. If they didn't use so much oil and scrub all over my body and in places I've never had massaged, then I would probably go back. read more
