The only reason I'm giving this business 2 stars is because of Carl, the maintenance guy. He's a rockstar. I'm furious. 7k for a "guaranteed refurbished" hot tub. Let's talk about the lemon I got... since day one it's been garbage. Every single tiny piece of it has broken. While, yes I was under the 6 mo warranty where Carl has fixed it for free I totally respect that they honored the warranty.... However.... For not one single week has this thing worked. And warranty is a ticking clock. So I'm like... at what point do I not have Carl on speed dial? I'm Airbnbing my place with the one luxury of having a working hot tub. And now they are testing me. Guess what? My warranty is up. And what still isn't working.... My hot tub. I've emailed them before hand saying I needed an extended warranty or to pick it up... no response. Contacted the owner... no response. ALSO... don't get me started on the set up that they screwed me over on. Carl was even pissed about it.. Back in 2014, I purchased both a swim spa and a regular spa for our backyard. During the purchase I was very impressed with the knowledgeable and professional service I received from Randy. As a family, for several years after the delivery and install of the spas, we ended up having some personal illness issues to deal with when my wife was diagnosed with cancer. This took my daughter's focus off swim training and our focus as a family off enjoying our backyard. Unfortunately, my wife lost her battle and during this difficult time, we failed to notice a manufacturers defect in the spa shell. We reported it long after the warranty had expired and brought our issue up to Spa Max... I honestly expected I would be out of luck but to their unbelievable credit they worked with me to figure out a way to get me a new spa! It took a while but Rick diligently worked through the issue step by step and replaced the spa at almost no cost (we shared the crane and delivery charge due to the difficulty in getting this spa into our backyard). This is the kind of help and product support you wish for. It seems like many vendors are trying to get over on you these days so it just makes what Spa Max and Rick did for me even more extraordinary. If you are in the market for a spa and you are anywhere in the Southland do your self a favor...take the drive to Spa Max - see Rick and tell them Harry's story motivated you to trust them. Randy is the man! He got us a crazy good deal on this used Swimspa. I can't believe the deal we got on it and its practically new looking even though its an older spa. When we went to the showroom we were absolutely floored by the crazy options and Randy helped us file it down to what we needed. It wasn't some pushy o you need this type either. Literally said we plan on using it for a jacuzzi and occasional swimming and he pointed us in the middle of the range. He even went over how what we got might be a hair bit overkill as it had the three motors. Honestly he was right! Good luck swimming with three motors blowing you into the back wall. There were inherent issues with the spa when we got it in. One of the LED went out and one of the speakers was obviously blown. One of the motors got stuck. This is a 6-8 year old spa we bought for 1/3rd the cost of it new. We knew it was going to have some quirks. Called Randy and he sent people to fix it IMMEDIATELY at no cost to us. He went above and beyond and I mean ABOVE AND BEYOND the call of a normal place. You are paying a huge discount compared to full price I do not understand some of these reviews thinking it will be brand spanking new. Even their service contract is dirt cheap if you want to go that route and not worry. They haven't had a problem at all calling them out when a motor froze or anything of that nature. You can always judge a place by their follow up and they have been valuable for help with the water quality and just general maintenance. You can tell they want return customers and referrals by giving good customer support and it shows. They even crained in the giant sucker as there was no way ever to get this in from our side gates. Super fun watching someone crane something blindly over a tree line haha. Once we finally understood how to take care of that amount of water with shock and bromine we haven't had a single issue since the initial learning period. It has been an almost zero maintenance spa. I trust them and frequently recommend them to my coworkers and friends. read more

We bought a spa during COVID! We actually bought a floor model- had it delivered a couple days after ordering. It was very exciting g to find a place that had something available- everyone else had 12-18 week delivery! Yikes! We were very happy with the whole experience. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is when buying the person who I had spoken to over the phone- the person who seemed to actually have some knowledge about the features was with another couple. We got Frank. Frank was friendly- but kept taking his mask off... and he knew nothing about the spas. He was likely the guy they hired because they just needed anyone. Ordered a spa from them couple months ago. Was advised there is longer than normal lead time cause of everyone buying spas. Picked one out from samples on floor, picked colors and paid. Was super simple and easy. No up sell or anything weird. They called to say it was ready, I needed to have crane to deliver. They brought it out and we realized I should have asked for bigger crane as the location is further that I thought. They were so understanding they took it back to their warehouse and held it till we could schedule a bigger crane ( and I needed to have a concrete pad poured , old space was in dirt) I called them to say I was ready, they scheduled for the next sat at 8 am. They showed up before crane, helped crane guy move it and they wired it and explained to me about setting it up. Total professionals and stand up company. Great service and communication. I'm very disappointed in the service I received. I believe in helping local businesses thrive but I'm not gonna support one that doesn't honor what they say. It's been almost a year since I bought my spa. Overall it does the job. The settings were right on. But not much was explained. I found a burnt light and some of the panels were scratched/scraped. I notified spa max and they said they just got new panels in (back in March). They will send someone to replace them. They said they will send someone to either replace the bulb or fix it. None of that happened. I called numerous times to check the status, and they kept giving me the run around. I even went in and spoke to the floor salesman but got the usual "oh someone will call you". I waited to put this review up because I believed they will make it right. But it's been almost a year. Buy a hot tub here but don't expect them to fix any warranty issues. read more

I enjoyed the sales experience and appreciated the sales man Bobby. He was Great on questions and helpful. This is where my Positive Spa max experience ends. My spa arrived today and I was super excited. The issue is it appears to have a leak somewhere. The install team was nice but did not take my feedback completely. They also provided me very little information on the spa So now I have my seats facing the wrong side of my Tv. As this was the easier way to run the wire.So only the laying part faces the tv. So glad I spent the money to have a TV set up. On Top of that the spa appears to have a small leak on my new concrete. ‍I'm going to varify the leak tomm and if the water stream/spot is still there I will ask for a technician. I'm also not happy with the placement but can't move a spa myself. If it is indeed leaking I will change my review to a one. So in all I ended up with a spa I have to pay movers to move. In all reviews mention this of spas not being repaired correctly. I should have listened to my wife and bought the Costco Spa. Sure it was a $1,500 more but I could have enjoyed it and not needed repairs. But I wanted to support a small business that provided a selection. I visited Spa Max today in search for the entry steps to a spa. Our wood steps were starting to break, so it was time for a new one. Rick greeted us upon entry and I asked him if he sold just the steps. He told us that yes he can help with our request. As we were walking towards the back of the showroom, he told us he had 2 new entry steps that he can't use because they do not match with any of his spa colors. If we wanted, we can take it for free of charge. These steps were pretty new and in great condition. So we took Rick's word and he was happy that we were super satisfied with the steps. He really didn't need to do this and could have charged us for them or sold us a set. Super cool that he did this. Once it is time for a spa upgrade, we definitely know where to go. Thanks Rick! I waited to write this review until everything was delivered and up and running. First let me say thank you to everyone working at Spa Max and a big shout out to Frank. From beginning to end he has been great with communication and has put up with my continuous questions. I ordered my Cal Spa back in the middle of July. I didn't quite fully understand how much the spa industry was impacted by Covid. Orders for spas were through the roof and the factories are all having to scramble to fill orders while still keeping everyone safe and following the regulations. We were quoted an 8 week lead time but warned things could change. They did! Unfortunately the factory sent out multiple delays. Each time frank communicated with me. This was important to me. I understand things happen, especially right now. If I hadn't received that communication I would have been upset. Frank was great. I didn't always get the update I wanted to hear but at least I got something. We always had good conversations. Finally my time had arrived and my spa was finished. I got my delivery date scheduled. The Spa Max delivery team arrived and went to work. They too were great. They positioned my spa exactly where I wanted and got everything set up. Frank was able to get me some extras as a thank you for being understanding and patient during the longer than usual wait. The delays taking place right now are not the dealers fault. Manufactures are trying to keep up but it going to be a long road to get there. Be patient everyone. It will be worth the wait. Thank you again Spa Max for the great service. read more

So we approached him and greeted him, and tried to ask him some questions. He was very short with his answers and stand offish. Like he didn't really want to talk to us. After looking for a couple of years, including at all the fair spa and weekend sales, it was finally time. I reluctantly had to day good bye to my old spa. I purchased a recondition Spa to replace my 30 year old spa. My old spa was old falling apart and hated to replace it. However it was time RIP. I did not expect my reconditioned spa be perfect, however what I didn't expect to see incredible service both pre-and post installation. From the moment I walked on the sales floor in Corona I knew I was in good hands with Rich. I had just purchased a spa online from a different retailer however decided to quickly check out Spa Max before the delivery of the one I purchased on line. I felt so at ease with Rich, so much so that I was trying to find a way to make it work that I could purchase a spa from them instead of the one that I already had on order, that was going to be delivered in a couple weeks. The one that I purchased online did not have a recliner that was important to us, he had a reconditioned one on the sales floor that had a recliner and many other items that were important to us. We weren't looking for anything fancy just something to do the job. The next day after thinking about it overnight, I cancelled the one I had on order and place my order with Spa Max. No regrets at all and so glad I did. During the sales process I work with Bobby. He was very helpful and explained everything in detail. A few days later I went in paid for my Reconditioned spa from Spa Max and set it up for delivery the next week. The installation crew was very helpful in removing my old spa (so sad to see it go) and installing the new spa and explained everything. during the installation it was discovered that there were a few minor service repair issues that needed to take place, in which the installation crew wrote on the delivery order and set it up to be repaired. I just received a call from Carl the gentleman is coming out to do the repair, and he assured me everything would be taken care of and I have my appointment in a few days. I am expecting no problems at all with the repairs, based on the process so far with Spa Max. Whether it's a new car spa or a reconditioned Spa you cannot go wrong with these guys. You will not be pressured into making a decision AT ALL!!. You'll be able to come to the sales floor and talk about what you need and if any way possible, they will make it happen new or reconditioned. Thank you Rich, Bobby and Randy. I drive all the way over there and was informed they don't sell them separately. Only when you purchase a spa.
