The new year is a time for reflection, which includes homage to my favorite places. You can't eat anything from Ewing (yuk!) but I sure do grow a lot thanks to the drip irrigation stuff I get here. I have some 600+ feet of 1 gal/hr white stipe pipe snaking through 10 zones here, though my yards and gardens are not big. The quality is SO much better that what you can get at big box stores. Worst experience. Walked in asked for help in the outdoor lighting Dept. Talked with JOE to get wheat I needed. So I thought. I bought $4500 worth of lighting for my front entrance ONLY and only to find out EWING (JOE) knows absolutely nothing about lighting. Next time call in someone who does know genius. Had a crew work all day digging and wiring only to find out Nothing is compatible and EWING won't honor the trash they sold. I would have been a cash cow for a while but with service like this I would NEVER recommend anyone to go here l. Garbage biz garbage humans Don't not waste your money here! I usually go here for any irrigation needs. I won't be going back after today. I went in and saw someone not wearing a mask. They have a sign outside that states customers must wear a mask to enter. At first, I thought this person without a mask was a customer (he had one of those masks that go around the neck and he had it down). I have been shopping at Home Depot for quite a while. Avid do it yourselfer for the last 20 years. We just moved into the area and have an acre lot that we need to irrigate. Guesstimating to spend ~5k. We definitely need some good advice on water pressures, piping, and fittings and spray heads. I was excited to come here because of all the great reviews about how helpful they are. I was especially impressed with one review of how the owner would come and talk with the customers about their irrigation needs. We went today and got a greeting at the door, but that was about it.. Four guys at the service desk were chatting and monkeying around. They have no pricing on the shelves. The guy at the desk said that they had contractor wholesale pricing.. and "Preferred Customer" pricing. (Who says that?!! Everyone should be a preferred customer! Right? ) Despite, I still bought a few items. My husband and I like to shop local businesses over big box stores. Service over pricing is important. As we were checking out we heard the guys complaining about how they only had 4 contractor service orders today, and how the boss was going to be mad. Well hey guys, maybe if you approached your customers and asked how you could be of help, you would get more orders. Just saying! You certainly lost ours. read more

Terrible customer service. We called ahead of time to let them know we were coming realizing they were closing soon, we told the guy what we were coming to get and to get it ready in will call and we were there with 3 min to spare. They locked the doors before 11, their closing time. When we told him we were the ones that called, he said sorry were closed and wouldn't budge. For me, when dealing with customers, they are the most important part of my business they could've made quick easy money for their company but chose not to. read more

I come to Ewing for all my irrigation and lawn care needs. They are always so helpful and have so many suggestions to solve my watering problems. Two years ago they helped me plan the conversion of my sprinklers to drip irrigation. They had all of the parts and helped me design a more efficient way to run the new irrigation lines. Today I went there to find a replacement part for a broken connector. Darin helped us find all the parts we needed. The people that work here are knowledgable and super friendly. Most of the people here are really helpful to DIY customers, even though they are obviously geared toward contractors. We did get a guy who sold us on a piece of equipment we didn't need, but we saved our receipt and returned it unused with no hassle, and that guy was very friendly too. They have great water saving, fertilizing and other plant health products. They also let you browse by yourself and don't pressure you. read more

As a recent homeowner I have been dealing with irrigation issues for months now. I have no knowledge of irrigation systems since I had a condo before and never had to deal with landscaping. I spent months shopping at Home Depot where most of what they sell are overpriced, low quality Orbit products coupled with horrible customer service. I stumbled across Ewing and was assisted by Daniel. His service was second to none and the prices and selection of top quality products (Hunter, Rain Bird) sold by Ewing was a nice surprise. Daniel walked me around the sales floor for about 45 minutes giving me a quick education on the products and irrigation systems. I walked out with high quality Rain Bird heads, Hunter nozzles, and nipples spending LESS than I would have spent on garbage Orbit products from Home Depot. I am definitely not going to go anywhere other than Ewing from now on and have already been telling everyone I know to go there. read more
