They are very organized down to the customer lines I called the day before to get information about milkweed for Monarch butterflies, and so I showed up with my pets in tow, they're walking miles are wide enough to carry a stroller, and there are plenty of clerks, offering help and information. My only issue is I've bought milkweed there on two occasions to feed hungry caterpillars and the plants had pesticides that killed the caterpillars . I live about an hour drive away from this nursery but I need something I will often wait until I'm out visiting my auntie to stop by this nursery as their plans are always very high-quality their staff knowledgeable, and their prices are great! Yesterday I was there purchasing a fruit tree and asked one of the gentlemen about an issue I was having with my apricot tree. I had previously been to Armstrongs to ask this question and Armstrongs didn't have any idea. The gentleman here at Parkview knew what was going on with my tree, explained how to check how far the damage was, how to treat it and how to make sure it doesn't happen in future. I just wish there was a Parkview near my home in the San Gabriel Valley as I would buy all my plants from Parkview if I could. read more

Came here last year to get our shade tree and the worker went above and beyond to help us out. He was a younger guy who greeted us and asked if we needed help. He helped walk around with us and we loved the experience so we came back again this year for yet another shade tree. Today, we weren't even acknowledged by the workers. They looked at us and turned the other way. We stuck around for like 15-20min and decided to leave and try another nursery. They weren't even busy so this was a huge bummer and not the best experience. read more

I always learn something new at Parkview. Staff is super knowledgeable. One fellow is the sensei of all things growing. When I see a young staff person I wonder if they have the knowledge, and YES they always do! Very impressive the owner finds such good help. Maybe there's an Ag school nearby. For you city dwellers, Ag is short for agricultural. In some places, crops are grown on the land instead of houses or shopping malls. haha read more

They also have a really great selection of cute modern bird baths, affordable pottery, and organic soil and soil amendments. If you need to order something, Tim can usually do that for you. Forty-seven years and counting are evident whether driving past or beholding the vast array of plants, trees, flowers and everything a gardener could desire. After two visits here and once at the Chicago location I'm convinced this is where one can acquire the highest quality orchard trees and the rose selection is equally impressive! Big or small, we wandered through the grounds and examined many species trying to envision where they'd all fit in an ideal property. Until then at least we can practice and gain experience. The colorful glazed pots here are especially nice and create a colorful palate as well as their practical uses for larger plants and trees not committed to the ground. Want bees, butterflies and hummingbirds? Flowers and flowering trees are a sure thing to attract these wonderful critters. Back soon for Roma tomatoes and cages. read more

Parkview nursery has been my go to for all my gardening needs and they deliver, and every year I get bark and I get worm castings, which I called worm poo and I love the quality of their products, the friendliness and knowledge of their staff and I just really feel like every year it is nice to look forward to the gardening and spring, summer time deliveries from them. Better prices on soil and planters than Home Depot and ace hardware! Place has so many options of pots. Service: As soon as we arrived until the moment we left there was different workers attending to us seeing if we needed help or had questions. I grabbed a terra-cotta planter that I was looking for but it was a bit chipped off...Since it would take around 3 weeks for a new order to come in we asked for a discount and they gladly did for the inconvenience. I visited this nursery for the first time last weekend and had such a wonderful experience. First and foremost, they are dog friendly! Any place that is dog friendly will always get my business. They even put out water for my dog while we were shopping. I was greeted upon entering and was asked if I needed help but then was left to browse (always my preferred way of shopping). Every single staff member I encountered was so helpful and polite and happy. My entire experience actually put me in such a good mood I ended up filling a cart with various pots and soils and plants when I only went in for two things! Not only was the staff 10/10, but the plant selection was so much more diverse than I was expecting. I had to talk myself out of taking home a huge FLF because it wouldn't fit in my car with everything else I got. Speaking of everything else, I absolutely LOVE all the pots! They had exactly what I was looking for, but it was one of those "I don't know know what I want until I see it" situations. I was actually torn between two different larger planters, which was a nice problem to have considering those were the first two I had seen that were big enough and I actually liked them. I had so many plants in desperate need of repotting and now they are all happy and adorable in their new homes. The prices of everything from plants to pots to soil was very reasonable and, in my opinion, a steal when compared to other places (looking at you, Lowe's). The plants all looked like they were healthy and thriving. Once I finally cut myself off and checked out, they wrapped up all the pots and even helped me out to my car! Such a great place from top to bottom. I can't wait to come back for some new plants! read more

Nice nursery! They are already featuring veggies (tomatoes, eggplant, squash, etc) and herbs that other nurseries are telling us will not be in for another two weeks. And they are very healthy, brand name plants. And many heirloom tomatoes, my weakness. I really like the seed selections. A large display inside. The yard art is fun. Some I have not seen before.
