I visited Spa Castle for the first time today. It was pretty nice. There are flaws in corners - peeling paint in the ice room, missing base boards in spots - but all of the equipment works and everything is really clean. I wore white socks as I walked around the 2nd and 3rd floors, and my socks were cleaner afterward than if I had walked around in them in my own house. Food service was great. My complaint is about rules not being enforced. In the nude wet spa, there are signs everywhere saying NO CELL PHONES, yet there was a woman in one of the hot tubs talking on her cell phone. On the second floor, a uniform area, a couple strolled past wearing their swimsuits. There are areas where guests are asked to be quiet, but attendants said nothing to the guests who were talking. The uniforms are too small for some of their guests; they need to fix that situation. Some shower equipment was broken. Overall, nice, and I am glad there's no deafening music in the pool area like at King Spa, but they need to enforce their own rules, for everyone's sake. read more

My husband purchased entry to this spa as a college graduation gift. They told him he could not pre book or pre pay for any services so I did that myself online. I booked an improve facial, signature k bubble scrub and 80 minute healing stone therapy massage. The facial started out okay, she cleansed my skin and applied steam. After that it went downhill. She applied one of those sheet face masks you can buy at Walmart left me alone for awhile then came back removed it and asked if she could put lotion on my face. After that I was done. From there I went back downstairs for my body scrub. The lady told me i needed to soak for 30 minutes before my scrub but I could not because they only left me a five minute window between my first appointment and my second. I was taken to the bath house given a pair of black cotton panties to put on and instructed to lie face down. I did as told and a woman immediately started pouring buckets of water over me. Then came a thorough scrubbing which was honestly pretty painful, I assume because i was not able to properly prepare my skin by soaking. If you are shy or modest this is not for you! That lady had her scrub mitts in my buttcrack and down the front of my panties, it was not pleasant at all! My stone massage was a complete joke! She laid two towels on my back then dumped the stones on top. I couldn't feel their heat through the towels. Then she removed the stones and dug her elbows into my back for awhile before CLIMBING ON TOP OF ME. She was literally on her knees on top of my butt and grabbed either side of the towel my forehead was resting on and started pulling my head back and to the sides like she was steering bicycle handles. When she was done with that she rolled me over and started bending my legs up in weird positions. After those horrible experiences it thought I could salvage the day by using the spa pools. Nope, half the spas have non working jets. After the third try I gave up and headed back to the locker room where i couldn't even properly rinse off since the soap dispensers were empty. I have been to many spas and never experienced anything as horrible as this place! What's even worse is the experience cost $554 dollars! Save your money and go ANYWHERE else! read more

My sister and I were in Dallas for a leisure getaway/sister time and decided to visit the castle. OMG soooo glad we did! This place is a vacationers sanctuary. We could have literally stayed all day; as in a full 8 hours however because we had other obligations planned we only stayed 3. This is a barefoot environment so shoes go into a cool locker immediately upon entering the spa facility. The lockers are operated by wrist watches given at check in. Next stop, a receptionist desk were you are issued a pink uniform (ladies), blue for fellas. We went upstairs where we both our warm stone massages and let me tell you.... The ladies did an AMAZING job. Some of the techniques used were different from my usual masseuse but I thoroughly enjoyed my treatment. Next we experimented with each of the saunas which range from cold (literally frozen ice sauna) to extremely hot (we sat on the burlap bare & burned our asses). The pools are beautiful. Crystal clear water, warm & cozy hot tub, swim up bar, warm relaxation shallow pool....I mean the options are endless. There is also a restaurant to grab sushi, coffee, yogurt, or dishes. I'll definitely return to spa castle during my next visit to Dallas. I really wish the proprietors would consider this in St. Louis read more

I went here last Sunday (06/07) and really regret that.... they are not ready to open. Even though they still charge the full price of admission, about 2/3 of services are still closed. They warn you that once you get there that there are no showers, no lockers, no indoor pools/steam room (hot tubs and thermal spa), or spa services. It is really inconvenient to carry your bag around the facility and really disturbing how people go from sauna to outdoor pools without showering. Half the outdoor pool jets are still broken :( I wish they were a bit more explicit with their opening announcement as I would not have wasted my time and money to have this mediocre experience. Love this place. I usually go on a Sunday and it's not too packed. The pools aren't very big for how big this place is, but that's fine with me. I like how the pools have built-in massages which help relax my muscles (if there's any). There aren't as many saunas as King Spa but that's OK, since I spent most of my time at the pool anyways. The food is decent, although I think King Spa food is slightly better. This place is really nice, modern, big, and clean. It makes me feel like I'm on a mini vacation at some resort. Just a nice place to get away for a few hours. Another good thing is that I can fit in their uniforms. Thanks for having uniforms for small people (uniforms are too big at King Spa). It is more expensive than King Spa, but I think it's worth it. Omg! A real adult spa, everything you need for a day getaway. They even have places to nap and yes I TOOK A NAP! My recommendation is to go on a weekday. It's not crowded and worth the $40. I regularly go to spa castle and i've seen crazy things happen things that are far too gross and vile to write in a post but as of the start of this year have seen an increase in mistreatment towards guests and the workers each time i am there. and nothing seems to be done about it. this establishment is a joke. it is falling apart at the seems. management sucks, they can't keep a worker for more than a week, and their food bars and pools are disgusting. it is anything but relaxing and i'm ashamed to have spent as much money as i have there and most definitely would never recommend it to anyone else. if anything have this be your warning, if you are thinking about going to spa castle i'd suggest that your money and time would be better spent elsewhere. read more

Went for the first time this weekend and thoroughly enjoyed my visit. There was a good selection of outdoor and indoor pools and jacuzzis. All of the other guests were nice and respectful and didn't spend too much time in one spot. Great selection of dry saunas as well, with a range of temperatures to choose from. The Gold Pyramid sauna was my favorite! Kid/Family friendly, but mostly designed for adults so I didn't see a single kid there during my visit (hooray). One star taken off because there were quite a few massage/water jet buttons that didn't work in the pools/jacuzzis. You're also only allowed 3 alcoholic beverages total, which seems logical if you're only there for a few hours, but if you're there all day, it's very limiting. read more

Was there this weekend 10/11/24. Absolutely horrible as far as cleanliness, so many things broken or unavailable. 3rd floor area closed, kiddie areas closed. Many repairs needed. Bathrooms not clean. Not enough staff monitoring the bath house, people not showering before getting into the nude baths. The spa/hotel system not being connected is SO frustrating, if you need to go to your room for anything you have to check completely out of the spa, pay, remove all your wrist bands & uniform just to go upstairs in the same building. And the systems aren't connected, which is probably an easy fix. No towels available, zero available to rent for the pool or for the bath. The small free towels were so hard to find, there might be 1 clean one on the tray at a time. Will not be going back. People just acting disrespectful, getting into fights & yelling & screaming profanities at each Other. I'm surprised this place hasn't been closed down. This is my second time here, and for the most part it was an enjoyable experience. I came for some pampering and good food for a birthday and was not disappointed. This place is a spa/hotel with the option of a day pass to the amenities, or you can stay in the hotel and get a spa pass for a reduced price. I like that they provide seperate lines for the spa day pass and those checking into the hotel, because the lines can get rather long. It does appear they might be short staffed at the moment. After check in, I tried one of the mini restaurants inside, and the seafood ramen was brimming with scallions, muscles, and shrimp and definitely hit the spot and was very large in portion size. I later enjoyed a lavender aroma therapy massage at their spa. Make sure to ask for Katherine. She has been there 7 years and definitely knows what she is doing. I enjoyed their LED room, pyramid sauna, the fitness room, the ice room (why can't we have something like this in San Antonio to escape the heat? Genius!), and their pool/bar area and wood jacuzzi that smells like hickory roasting on an open fire ahhh. Also, It was very peaceful doing my morning stretches/yoga on the Udon heated floor. My only issue was Fridays they have a live DJ playing very loud rap music. So it is basically impossible to talk to your company in the pool/bar area, and the music can pretty much be heard everywhere. The bartendar was amazing though, and whipped me up something called an Adam's Apple that was sweet and sour and spectacular. I have been here a few times and I have enjoyed every visit. I have not stayed in the hotel or gotten food here, which I have seen other reviewers complain about, but I've been just for the baths/pools. The outdoor pools are nothing too exciting, although I do love the wooden tub as well as the hydrotherapy jets for the back and neck areas. My favorite part of this place are the saunas. There are so many saunas at varying temperatures and humidities! This is a great place to relax by yourself or with your friend or family! PS - This place gets very crowded on weekends! But it is a big facility, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem. I had to wait ~30 minutes to get inside when I went during Mother's Day weekend, but that's understandable. read more

After JUST posting a review of a restaurant saying "I hardly ever post reviews" I did however feel called to write a review for Spa Castle in order to possibly help someone who is contemplating visiting for their first time and might not be able to find the information they need. This was fist experience (and probably only one since I am not local and only here for a short stay) and I enjoyed my time immensely, but definitely had questions before going. It is almost impossible to get anyone on the phone when calling which is inconvenient and frankly annoying. However after visiting they do seem to keep a very minimal staff so that is probably why. All of the areas were clean and well kept. The pools were very nice with several options of places to sit, temperatures, and jet pressures. I only tried out one sauna (I don't remember the name of it) and it was very clean and the temperature was great. I also got their 50 minute aroma therapy and essential oil massage which was a great, however different, experience in itself. We also ate at the sushi place while there. It was okay, not the best but not the worst. Their menu is pretty limited though and everything is served on plastic plates. I found their website to be difficult to navigate and their FAQ page to not be as informative as it should be. If you are visiting for the first time I had compiled a list of things that I would have liked to know beforehand for you. - Bring a bathing suit and coverup. They recommend bringing your own towels, as they provide 2 complimentary hand towels but they do also have full size body towels you can "rent" for $2. - everything except the lobby and general co-ed pools is barefoot only. - it is mentioned on their website but the gender specific pools are nude only. I expected that, but I did overhear several women talking about how they did not while changing. - they do provide "uniforms" for you, if you would like. They are not required and I do not know if their a charge for them or not. I opted to wear a coverup over my swimsuit when walking around the other floors. It is required that you have SOMETHING on over your suit for women and a shirt on for men while upstairs or any area that is not the pools, however you can take the coverups and shirts off in the saunas. - there is a 3 drink limit. This I did not see listed on their website and was a slight disappointment to find out. However they do offer doubles so you can at least make the most out of your 3 drinks. - 15% gratuity is INCLUDED already for all food and beverages, there is a line to add additional tips if you'd like. I do not believe they add additional gratuity to their spa services though. - the massages my SO and I received were great, but different. They started and ended with almost a chiropractic type "feel" where they were pressing down our body's and hands/feet almost of "pop" the joints and then stretched out limbs as well. It was not bad, it actually felt good, but it was a little different then we expected. - you are given a wrist band when you enter and that acts as your locker key as well as your open tab for any food, drinks, or services. All in all it was a very good experience and I wish there was a similar concept where I live so I could go semi regularly. I gave it a 3 out of 5 since the food was a bit lackluster and I went in with very little idea of what to expect. I would say that if I were to go again and have the same quality experience I would probably give it 4 stars since I would know more of what to expect. read more

Over all experience 5/5. This has to be broken down some though. Upon arrival we were greeted with a line, it wasn't a big line, only three or four groups ahead of us. At one point the girl assisting the gentleman checking in people seemed a bit distracted. Or perhaps disengaged with the guests. The check in is a fairly simple process so I was a bit put off by her not assisting in the quick check in. She kept walking and looking around like she didn't know quite what she was doing so a 2.5/5 on initial customer service. For never having been there before I feel like they could have explained a bit better on a few things, for example the wrist bands. They work fairly well for everything but we weren't explained about the PIN number system. This isn't a big deal since it is posted where the pins need to be entered but still the verbal could have been nice. Next, the locker rooms. They are gender separated since there are fully nude spas in each locker room. They offer out 'uniforms' for your to wear up on the third and second floors. Love this idea. My issue is that they only go to a '3x' in ladies short sizes. These shorts are not 3x. They aren't even 1x. Large at best and unfortunately there's not much we could do to change that. So I'll be bringing black shorts the next time I need to go or I need to wear shorts there. Even though it is stated about the no cell phone in the locker room people still used them. It freaked me out as I was changing trying to stay in my own space and this girl walked down my isle, I assumed down to her locker and she was covering her mouth like she was looking at something that was shocking to her or she was stifling a laugh. Look I'm very confident on who I am as a person but I felt like my privacy was being invaded even if it wasn't. They need to have a better way to not only enforce that rule but to kick out any one who doesn't oblige. It should be noted here that I didn't mention this to the staff, by the time I had finished changing the phone girl was gone. She was not the only one who seemingly disregarded the no cell phone rule but I'm hoping this is addressed by the staff. The massage my friend and I got was amazing. 20/5 will do again and it was worth every penny. And the $30 tip. Seriously. The pools outside were smaller than I expected and I was a little disappointed at this. There were a number of couples hugging and touching on one another despite the no PDA signs. Again basic rules. They need to be followed. I was more annoyed about the breaking of the rules than the PDA. I'll come back. And bring friends. It'll be amazing. I recommend. Kissing, sitting on one another laps, wrapped in one another's arms in the public pools, is that listed as PDA or is that considered all ok as long as there is no overly sexual grinding on your partner? I'm not offended by someone holding hands or giving their spouse a peck on the cheek or lips. But I'm curious as to where the line is drawn since I was under the impression that PDA is specifically a public display of affection. As I reread through my review as well I noted I failed to mention the extremely, and obviously, high security guard that was on duty at one point. He was not there when we went in. Not there when we left. And it seems he was only there at one point during our visit it was just strange. The more I think about it the more I feel this may have been a 3 instead of a 4. Came here with a Groupon ticket for $30. Like many online reviews mention, Groupon does not mention the $1.89 tax you will be charged at the door after presenting your Groupon. After that, anything that you pay will be for food, drinks, or extra slippers, etc that will all be charged to the little numbered wristband they give you. When you first enter, they have a small set of lockers for your shoes before your enter the main locker room. Here, there are large counters with hair dryers, lotion, hair spray, etc. There is also a swimsuit drying machine for your convenience. The lockers are quite spacious and have a bar at the top, and are opened by scanning your wristband. They do provide you with a uniform to wear on the 2nd/3rd/4th floors (no shoes/no bathing suits floors) but if you want slippers you'll have to purchase them or bring them yourself. They locker rooms are on the same floor as the nude gender-separated bath sections and the indoor and outdoor pools. Everything is generally well taken care of, but if you'd prefer to be clean and cautious I'd recommend bringing your own towels and slippers. Otherwise, don't think about it too much. The sauna area on the second floor has about 10 different rooms with different qualities/temperatures. The coldest "Iceland" is about 63F degrees, while the hottest can run up to 180F. Some of them have extra things like color therapy, Himalayan salt, charcoal, etc for extra properties explained on the outside of the doors. If you enjoy saunas I can see how this would be a great place to visit. Some of the rooms were too hot for my comfort, but I did feel relaxed after coming out. The pool area has many different kinds of jets to aqua-massage anywhere from your neck to your feet and legs. Unfortunately some of the jets didn't work, but for those that did, the water power was super strong and definitely massage-like if you could get the jets to hit the right spot. As a small person, some of them were a little too strong for me but they still felt good. They have more hot tubs inside the area with the bar. The bath area is where you have to be nude, and in addition to showers they also have more hot tubs and jets. So yup, you will see naked people there and in the locker room but if everyone's minding their own business it's really not a problem. Overall for the Groupon, and as a first time visitor I think it was worth it. I'm not sure I'd go back, as it was mostly just pools and saunas and for $30 I felt like it was a little steep, although there is definitely a large variety of things to do, and it is definitely a relaxing place. As I was standing in line to get my uniform and towels I heard you talking to to the other worker about how " people were annoying you ". This is a place for people to RELAX and BE HAPPY. The place was run down, most saunas have concrete seating that burnt the skin even with shorts on, light broken, walls damaged, boba tea is really a nasty ice drink, you only receive 2 hand size towels to dry off and if you need more they charge you, the sauna rooms look cheap, the seating on the second floor looks cheap, and the quite room before treatments is cheap and uncomfortable. The quote room has a noise machine and a wall ac unit so that's fun for the ears. They make you sit in that terrible room 10-30mins before your appointment. It wouldn't have been so bad if the place wasn't in such bad disrepair and the food & drinks weren't sub par and over priced. Paid $14 for a bowl of Ramen from a baggy with nothing else. I use to really love this place, however it has gone down. Myself and a few family members went for a Spa Weekend in March 2022. The establishment was old and filthy there was empty cups, and old food around the pools, the pools look like they have not been cleaned in ages, there was literally rings around the pools as if someone had just taken a bath. Service was very very poor, there was one bartender, one person serving food upstairs and the place was packed. No one was monitoring the place so people did whatever they wanted to regardless of the rules. I am so disappointed. I stayed at the onsite hotel and it was old and dirty, no one ever attempted to clean this place prior to our arrival. I will never return. It use to be one of my favorite places but never again. read more

Visited on a Friday. Had a lovely time. It was very relaxing and a nice retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The spa was clean and spacious. The different saunas were much welcomed after being in the heated pools for long periods of time. Also got a swedish massage. It was fabulous. The lady that gave me my massage did a fantastic job! Tips: 1. Walk with your own towel. They only provide hand/face towels. 2. There is food available for purchase at the spa. 3. The spa is a bare foot facility. You have to take your shoes and socks off and store them in a locker once you check in. If that weirds you out, then this is not the place for you. 4. If you plan on buying alcohol at the spa, be sure to acquire the alcohol authorization wristband when you check into the spa. This is at the front. It was quite inconvenient finding this information out when we were already wet from soaking in the hot tubs, then having to walk out to the front desk in our swimsuits in order to get the wristbands to purchase alcohol. 5. You do not have to be nude at the spa if you choose not to be. There is one particular bathing/soak room that requires complete nudity, but other than that, you can wear a swimsuit throughout the rest of the facility. 6. They provide tshirts and shorts for you to wear while walking around the facility. They were comfy. 7. Try going into the 50F cold room at the end of your visit after soaking in the hot tubs and lounging in the sauna rooms all day. It feels AMAZING! You. Are. Welcome. ;-) read more

Used $30 one day Groupon Purchase Pay taxes on this Groupon upon arrival (less $2) Very Front desk- I didn't have problems with attitude like reviews stated. They aren't verrrry informative about what to do, but I ask questions. They gave me a wristband that acted as my locker key and wallet. It didn't work half the time to lock and unlock my locker, though. Step one: after check in, go into the locker area. The first locker is where I put everything : phone, wallet, keys, shoes, clothes. We walked around the corner to see two women who told us we should've gotten ready in the locker room. No one told us sooo Step two: barefoot zone in the locker room. You can purchase $9 slides (sandals) or you can go barefoot. The locker room is nude. No phones through here. They informed us that there was a bigger locker in here for belongings. The first locker was just for shoes. Too late now. Step three: enjoy. We walked through the locker room and there was the nude pool. Heated area. Didn't go there, so can't review it well. In the entry of this area, there was cold water and towels. Didn't have to pay $2 like I read about. I brought my own towel though. And I saw a girl walking around in her own flip flops :/ so I guess they aren't as strict about that. Around that corner was the tonic bar? I think. There is no pool bar anymore. You have to get out of the water and get your drink. My friend got a $10 drink and he put TAAKA vodka in it. She was a little upset behind it. I believe she said he wouldn't remake it, but you can request him not to put that cheap stuff in there. Water temps in some hot tubs aren't hot enough. We switched them. There was a Dj. At first, more techno music. Mixes of popular songs with techno beats. Later, he played more ethnic music. Stanky leg, My Dougie, in my feelings, etc. Outside, the jets were nice. I advise you to step back and press the button on some first to see if you can handle the pressure. It was clean. I had fun. The low reviews are moreso from the daytime I suppose ? And the actual spa servicing. If I wanted a real spa, I would go somewhere else I think. For water fun with the girls, I would definitely pay the $30!! Wow. I must have missed something. I received a gift certificate for the "admission" to the spa, which costs fifty bucks. This allows you to enter, get a locker, a "uniform", and that's pretty much it. I'm in from out of town, so I didn't have a swimsuit. I I was advised that their rental suits are Speedo in style, and I'm 58. I decided to spare the world. I'd signed up for a massage earlier in the day. The massage therapist barely spoke English, and while she was strong, there was little communication that was understandable. At the end of the massage, you're presented with a slip of paper to select which tip you'd like to leave for the therapist. 15%, was the base level. To ice the cake, when I was checking out, the clerk couldn't get my card to work (fairly new card, like I got it last month). He ran it multiple times, triggering an alert from the card issuer. Half the jets in the pools and spas didn't work. Was very dirty today. Took 25 minutes to get chicken fingers. The sauna outside wasn't working. The staff up front was rude and didn't want to do anything for the crappy experience. UPDATE: Tried calling that number multiple times and it always disconnects me. read more

Other than they fact they provide only 2 little towels - this place is amazing. So many options on the wet side as well as the communal areas. I did not try the food - but hear it is very good. For a total day of relaxation I highly recommend. read more

Don't waist ur time and money here. Seriously you expect to come and relax, but instead you come to get frustrated. The staff seems like they are winging it, they don't care if they are unprofessional in front of customers. They charge $50 on Sundays, yet they expect u to go buy or bring ur own towels and no uniform is provided, would have been nice to have been told that when I called ahead. But nope, they are trying to make that extra buck. So besides the fact they charge more on Sundays, the restaurant that serves the Korean dishes is Closed Sundays... Almost Everything is Out of Order. Even all the jets, one per row if ur lucky will be working. And if it is then the jet power is so Strong it shoots out of the pool! The pools no longer are tea infused. It's more like Chlorine smell infused. The showers are dirty, I was praying I wouldn't get a foot fungus. It's trashy. In the sense that this lady was literally VAPING in one of the tubs. No shame, no staff, it was gross. You go to King Spa and the staff is always cleaning. Here you hardly ever see staff. The o2 machines on the walls are all broken, not a single one worked in the whole place. The swim suit dryer was broken. The floors everywhere were wet, from down stairs locker room to upstairs to even the stairway! Hazards everywhere! Due to everyone being told to wear their swim suit because uniforms are no longer provided. It must really suck to work here. Staff looks frustrated, just points to each other when they don't have the time to deal with you, then complain and cuss about their co-workers. When I'm standing right in front of them waiting for an answer. I REPEAT, DONT WAIST UR TIME AND $$ HERE. It is not worth it. Just go to King Spa, get the online coupon and you will spend less and actually relax. And it's clean. Plus they have the staff to monitor people and cleanliness. Upon entering I was hardly greeted and given no direction as a new person to the spa. Then after finding my way into the locker room I was basically ignored by staff who was only able to give me two word answers to any questions I had before I was ignored so that they could chat amongst themselves. I was told my scheduling had to be pushed back thirty minutes since you apparently have to soak that long before you can actually take part in any of their spa care deals. That could easily have been mentioned in the package deal when I signed up for it or the emails I was sent after. I was also told "She will come find you" when I asked about what to do or where to go after my time after soaking. Well in a huge soaking room I found that to be a bit odd as the staff has no real way to find you as an individual. I found my locker. Both of them. There are two lockers by the way. One for your shoes and another for all your belongings. I figured out how to open it, followed other patrons examples of what to do and where to go from there. Heads up too, the locker room is freezing!!! Found my way to the soaking area. Glad I took the time to read the millions of hand printed signs posted randomly along the walls throughout the sauna as some even stated not to enter areas with a temp at 104°, some patrons did not see those signs however. It was hard not to want to direct everyone and instruct them with what little I knew myself. Hardly relaxing... After 35 minutes I did get up to go find my "lady". A random woman who hardly asked me a single question, not my name or number on my wrist band, basically grabbed me and took me to a back room in the sauna to begin my "Goddess of Summer" package I had been gifted. There was very little instruction or conversation about what was going to happen. She didnt even mention the paperwork I had signed upon entering listing my problem areas from past surgeries etc. Though, not knowing my name that's not surprising. Now, the package I got included a full body scrub and massage. The scrub was nice although I could see it being very painful for some. The massage had me questioning a fee things, her technique or even if she was trained to do this, as someone who regularly visits a chiropractor nothing felt right. I was left in a lot of pain in some areas of my back and legs, especially today, not even 24 hours later. I was in so much pain it gave me migraines all day. The facial was really relaxing and so was the body wrap. The final part of my package was a bit odd though. It was a shampoo. I wasn't told what was special about it and was told to basically rewash my hair as well as shower in general. I'd also like to mention half way through my time it got very loud and rowdy in the locker room and spa area. And that place is large and the walls make everything that much louder. It wasnt even from children. After my package was done I wandered the first floor out to the water bar which was a ghost town. The food options had been mostly crossed out. They had nachos and lots of regular drinks. The only asian themed cooking available were japanese pancakes but that was it. I purchased a water and headed to view the outdoor pools. They looked very well kept and had a decent amount of patrons in each one. I wasn't even told about the second floor or I would have visited it as well. I'm not sure if I'd like to come back or not. The package deal was $180 and didn't include the $40 admission fee. I felt like it wasn't worth the cost over all. The lack of real food options was very disappointing consodering so many amazing asian restaurants surrounded the area. Your a korean themed spa in the middle of asian food places, common! The staff needs proper training and the ability to be more present and helpful. There were so many other amenities and options available that I was not made aware of. I constantly felt lost and left to my own devices. The look on other peoples faces told me they felt the same. Which is why I stayed no longer than my appointment for my package took. read more

I would probably go 3.4 but that's not an option. We went on a Saturday, arrived at opening, left about 3:45. Pros: lots of choices of things to do. Great sauna rooms with a variety of temps. Nice hot tubs also with a variety of temps. Relaxing before it gets crowded. Still a relaxing experience *early* in the day. Cons - 2 major ones. 1) facility needs a good amount of maintenance - and for the up charge it should be financially capable. Broken tiles, locker room bathrooms seriously need an overhaul, multiple jets not working on multiple spas. 2) Staff need to enforce the "quiet zone" rule. I think they're too scared to confront some of these groups. As it got to be early afternoon, two loud groups showed up. 1 was a bachelorette party who cackled all through the quiet zone and the saunas. The other was a group of, I'm guessing, barely 21 year olds who kept opening sauna room doors (I could literally hear them doing it down the hallway from the room I was in), giggling "oops, wrong room" and then were partying on the balcony. - this isn't a major one but a note - at some point in the afternoon, they turn the inside spa area to a party zone with LOUD party type music. Not exactly my idea of a spa/relaxing experience. Summary: in need of repairs, and if you want to relax, go early day til about 1. Still enjoyed it, til about 2:00. I am finally able to sit down and write my review on Spa Castle. The Spa is in this big beautiful building. There is also a 20 room Hotel attached that gives you 24 hour access to the spa. Some of the pools clothes at midnight for cleaning but the majority of the facility stays open. Check in was easy and quick. You are given bands to wear so you do not have to walk around with a wallet or your cards. Walking into the locker rooms you have to immediately take off your shoes. The entire inside area of the spa is barefoot only. Swimsuits can only be worn on the first floor and outside. For the second and third floors you have to wear a rented spa uniform. The uniforms were clean but really old and worn out. Uniforms should be thrown out and order new ones. The locker room was clean and someone was always cleaning in there which was nice. There is a nude only area inside the bath house. I wish there was more privacy with the showers for those who do not wish to be nude and exposed in the bath house area. There are three restaurants that I noticed. There is also a bar. The drinks are a little expensive for the small serving size cups that they give you. I tried a mango margarita is was good. More flavoring that liquor but that's to be expected. I ordered buffalo chicken strips and fries for lunch. I would not order that again. The outside area is nice but there was no umbrellas like advertised in the pictures and on their websites. So we were in the sun the majority of the day. I sick from the heat and had to go inside. The ice room was not working so we were not able to enjoy that. Overall this was an ok experience. Place needs some upgrades and new uniforms for guest. It was ok for a day trip. read more

I planned an impromptu visit to Dallas to visit my daughter for the weekend For her birthday. Due to the short notice, many spa facilities didn't have availability but a friend had been to Spa Castle and loved it so we booked. Neither of us are huge into walking around naked so planned to skip the baths and brought swimsuits for after our services. I had a facial, which was good, and she had a body scrub which was less than good. We weren't given much in the way of direction except NO SHOES, anywhere. we were a bit grossed out by that, not sure why they couldn't offer slippers, even disposable ones like when you get a pedicure. Anyway, I found my way to my facial and she was called by a tech for her scrub, when she went to follow, the tech disappeared then came back in bra and underwear. My daughter was prompted to get undressed so when she tried to put on her suit, she was told no...there is a huge language barrier between techs and clients, or at least that was our experience, and very little direction. Long story short, she was given the scrub, buck naked and left with pretty moderate to severe bruises on her back, which we noticed the next day. We did visit the hot tubs and saunas, and may consider going back for the saunas if the prices were more affordable, but only some of the jets in the hot tubs worked and they offered no towels-didn't know ahead of time- except small hand towels. The food was sub par, though we didn't try the sushi. Bottom line, save your money and go someplace else. read more
