BUYER BEWARE! I purchased a vehicle in December 2017 with a 90 day warranty. Within the first week I notified them of several issues we had discovered:
1-Heat on the passenger side did not work (Let them know about this on the 2nd day)
2-The vehicle had issues starting/cranking. You'd have to take the key all the way out and then try it again. Sometimes multiples times before it would start.
3-Would shut off when you put the key in the ignition while it was on auto start. You'd have to take the key all the way out and re-crank it.
4- Sometimes would not shift from park (into any gear). You had to turn it off, take the key out, then re-crank it to get it to come out of park.
The heat was not covered under the warranty but I refused to pay for it. (I mean, day 2 and it was my fault it broke?? $1,000 repair??) I ended up having to pay them over $200 out of pocket to get it fixed. After which I had to return it to them 2 more times to fix problems [they created] when they put the dash back on and it's still not right. They failed to hook the GPS cable back up to the radio/navigation when they put it back in the last time!
While it was in for the heater repair, they told me they could not "recreate" the other issues I was having. When I went to pick it from their shop, it was filthy!! Grease was smeared everywhere! The door handles, the console, all over the dash, the seats, door thresholds, everywhere!! It took him over a half hour to (somewhat) clean it up. It also wouldn't crank! Mike (the service manager) checked it out (with their "scanner"). The code he received was "key not programmed". He said he had not had that code before and would do some checking and let me know. Well, the issue persisted and they "supposedly" checked it each time it went back in, but to no avail. Well, it has been sitting since mid April when it shut off and will not re-crank. I had to have it towed to the repair center near my home where they discovered that the "electronic ignition module" was bad. Imagine that, an ignition problem (won't crank, cuts off when you put the key in... hmmm! Did this not cross their minds to have that checked?) As it turns out, it would have been covered under the 90 day warranty but now that the warranty is out they are refusing to pay for the repair or reimburse me any of the expenses I have incurred. I think that's pretty crappy!
It's also crappy that I have had nothing but problems since day 2 and, while it spent weeks and weeks in the shop in the first 3 months, it's still not right. They also acted like I didn't know what I was talking about. I took videos of it and showed them and they still said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Did I mention the repair is OVER $700 just to get it to crank again?? SO for over a month I've had no vehicle.
So before you buy, give SOMEONE ELSE a try! You will be sorely disappointed if you purchase (or have your car repaired) at South End Auto Exchange. I mean, if you can't hook up a radio without connecting all the wires, I'd hate to have a break job done.
