I learned how to do everything to my bikes; then cars and anything else I could fix or build. At 55; still love to do things myself, but I can't do everything and I hate taking my cars to dealerships. Next best thing is to find a good independent mechanic. Luckily I happened to find CLTMobile online! I actually invested in a mobile brake repair business about 3 years ago but have often thought how great a full service mobile mechanic would be! I messed up an electrical connection on one of my cars by accident doing some service on it. I could not fix it. My wife needed that car for work within a few days and my time was limited during that time to get it somewhere to get fixed. I called CLTmobile and got an appt booked right away. Mechanic came on time; he was super nice and very knowledgeable. He did a terrific job at a very affordable price! I do not like doing negative reviews and I share this with you as my experience, not my opinion. To anyone not mechanically inclined, be mindful. I failed my state inspection due to rear brake wear, which could have been possible as I drive alot for work. The car is 11 years old. I was quoted $300+ for rear brakes (just the pads). I've provided part of the inspection they send to you when they are done inspecting the vehicle. Also, I've provided a photo of what I found. Mind you, I'm no mechanic, but I do have common sense. As shown in the photo my rear brakes have 4 millimeters or more of braking material left. Not 2 millimeters or less as they stated. As a blue collar worker myself, I understand making a buck in this economy, however, I don't think this is the way to do it. My conclusion, I would not go back or recommend services from this establishment. On a positive note, the Service Adviser was pleasant and professional.

I was confused when the gentleman was explaining the alignment packages, and he took his time to explain it to me again and talk it out with me. Yesterday, I picked up my car with $400+ worth of repairs I had approved to be done. When I tried to crank the car, it was dead, After reviewing the repairs, I noticed a comment that the lights had been left on overnight (I left the car there while they were still open-the lights were not on). No one from the shop called to tell me, and they had the keys-so, if they were on (highly unlikely) they could have turned them off-this is extremely sketchy. When they called me the next morning to go over the repairs-the lights being left on was not mentioned. When I picked the car up, they had to charge the car to get it going. They said to drive the car and it would recharge. I drove the car for thirty minutes. Got home and tried to restart-it would not. I called AAA, they came and checked the battery-it was basically dead and I had to replace it. Why did Firestone not tell me this, and let me drive off with a dead battery-fortunately I was at home ? This was a great store for the first year, but they are no longer capable or trustworthy. Stay very far away from this place.
