Heard good things about these guys through the BMW club as doing quality work at competitive rates.. CEL lit up while we were visiting family in Charlotte and gave them a call. They were able to schedule me in on short notice, diagnosing it as a warranty covered issue. I was able to delay repair until we returned home. Shop was clean, organized, and offered custom performance upgrades. Highly recommend. The Club was right again. read more

Extremely unprofessional, and unethical. Compete and total lairs. I needed something super easy fixed in my 2019 Mini. I called, and they gave me an estimate of $900. I then found the part online for $95 with shipping. Ended up buying it myself and doing it in in 15 minutes. Again, extremely unethical and complete and total lairs about pricing and labor. read more

Honesty is a valuable trait in a mechanic and these guys have it. Came to them with a laundry list of problems a mechanic I went to previously said I had with my car and they cleared everything up, explain what actually was and wasn't necessary. read more

Made an appointment to get oil changed and inspection done. Quote was accurate and work was done in time estimated. Customer service was great! Glad I read the reviews and found this alternative to dealer service. read more

Cool and honest technicians. Have nkt had a bad experience yet. I bring all of my cars to them.

These guys are very good at their job, can work on older BMW's, MB etc. (like old, 1980's -90's BMW). They can diagnose it, fix it and get it done. The main thing is that they are honest. read more

I needed a new tire put on. Getting a quote with MP was easy and quick through Yelp. Brought my car in 2 days later and everything was in line with the estimate - appointment time, cost, and duration. Friendly service too. read more

They are knowledgeable, helpful, honest and not pushy. What more can you ask for? No more Woodie's nightmare.

Amazing service & flexible appointment times. I usually get my major repairs done here & everyone I get my vehicle back it drives even better than it did before. read more

MP Motorworks replaced all brake pads and my front and rear rotors on my SUV after 123k miles on the odometer. They did great work and turned around my vehicle same day. Staff are very responsive to inquiries and quotes and were able to answer my questions at a more detailed level e.g. What was my rotor thickness when they swapped out with new ones. I trust these mechanics with the work performed on my machines to keep me and others safe and the management I've found to be honest and reliable in their mechanical assessments. If you've got an internal combustion engine vehicle that requires service work, definitely come to them. read more

MP Motorwerks - Thermostat - Auto Repair Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

MP has been the best shop I have dealt with for BMW service/maintenance. So many of the shops in the CLT area can be a nightmare to work with. They run an honest business and their work is top notch. I didn't make an appointment and just dropped my car off; the techs called me the next day and explained the work/cost for repair and the car was ready 2 days later. read more

I had a horrible experience. I went in for new tires and have had all kinds of issues when it should have been a simple job to do. First, they did not ensure my tire pressure monitor reset so I had to come back multiple times. Then, all of the sudden, all of my tire pressure monitor sensors were low on battery out of nowhere. (BMW Service thinks they damaged the sensors putting the new tires on because my car is only 5 years old and they said sensors last 7-10 years.) Also, I never had any issues with tire pressure fluctuating for 5 years. Now, after having these tires for 1.5 weeks, my tires are all reading low pressure on the first cold morning. It has been a disaster. Not worth the "savings" from the dealership. read more

My Mercedes CL550 sounded like a bunch of tin cans rattling in the front wheels. Turned out I needed my lower control arms replaced. Motorwerks' crew did a great job installing my own new parts for a fair price. Now my cars rides quieter than a mouse! I highly recommend their services! read more

A solo woman can't go wrong with MP Motorwerks... after hearing a yucky sound from tires while driving on a Sunday, I sent a chat not expecting a reply... but I got one! Car in on Monday morning, it was diagnosed honestly and priced accordingly... repaired and in and out! I brought my work laptop, utilized wifi, got work done and had exceptional service. I will continue to bring all my vehicles here from now on. My new favorite place! read more

We are very happy with the service we received from MP Motorwerks. We took our Audi Q5 for several different issues: steering, timing belt, new tires, etc. Michael described the work and the charges perfectly, and they kept us info about how the work was proceeding. Now the car drives and performs better than it ever has. I only wish I'd found these expert technicians earlier, because I think I threw away a lot of money going to the dealership. I think MP Motorwerks might be the best garage in Charlotte for European cars. We'll always take our cars here from now on. Thanks Michael & Jay! read more

I happen to have a bad experience with mike at mp motorwerks. First off I made a mistake while working on my car and accept my downfall for that. Mike agreed to look at my bmw since it would not go into gear. He explained the valve body in the transmission was not matching up with the guide pin. He also stated the valve body was bad and needed to be replaced at $4,500. He stated if the new one didn't match up that the transmission would need to be replaced for another 5-6k plus labor This to me sounded weird and did my own investigation. I contacted zf who manufactures the transmissions for bmw and explained the situation. They gave me the part numbers for the guide pin that mike said they do not sell. I called the bmw dealer and explained the situation. They said worst case scenario they would put a new transmission installed at 7k which included the valve body. When I took the car in they said they would try their best to salvage the situation. End result was the valve body was not bad and had me fixed up for $700 at the DEALER. This guy is a crook, does not know how to work on transmissions, and clearly scams people to spend more money. He would have charged me over 10k to fix my car. AVOID at all costs. read more

I brought my mini cooper in today to get serviced and oil changed. Mike and his team were really helpful and had my car back to me by the afternoon. They also replaced a parking light complimentary. Got them off Yelp so playing it forward. Will use them in the future! read more

Mike and his team at MP Motorwerks are awesome. I had a bad experience at the dealership, so I took my BMW here instead. MP Motorwerks didn't find nearly as much wrong with my car as the dealership claimed was wrong with it, and the service was prompt, efficient and high quality. Mike was professional and communicative and friendly throughout the experience. I'll definitely be taking my car here from now on! read more

I have a 2010 Porsche Panamera and I trust these guys. They have detected issues I was unaware of that would have been big trouble later, thus saving me time, breakdowns, and of course money. The cost and rates are below what dealers would charge. I feel confident that I keep up maintenance and care with them, my car will be running smoothly for a long time read more

Good shop. Open and honest communication. Fair pricing. Highly recommend. We had estimates for more than double what they charged for excellent service. No loaners so keep that in mind but when you talk about thousands of dollars I get that. read more

Great service, quick turnaround, awesome price! Will definitely return for future needs!

Had the brakes done on our Nissan Pathfinder. Fast, professional service. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Will go here again.

I love going to the dealer for service. If you want your car to operate the way it was intended and as long as intended, you should go to the dealership. What I don't love about the dealership is paying dealer prices and service charges. So if my car isn't new and isn't under warranty, funk that! I'm taking it to a local mechanic! Now choosing the right mechanic is a task in itself. A mechanic isn't just a serviceman. A mechanic is an ally you build relationships with. A good local mechanic will treat you right. Most items will come with suggested service and every mechanic will "suggest" certain repairs. Many people will complain and assume they're trying to get ripped off when in fact, some just don't understand the maintenance required for an older car. Belts, hoses and stuff wear over time. So while you've gotten a motor opened up, why not replace the gaskets? I am not a mechanic, but I know enough about cars to make some my own repairs. My problem is laziness, but that's a separate discussion. MP Motorwerks is a shop I trust and they've never steered me wrong. I've had repairs done on an old 5 series with 279k miles here. I've also had some repairs performed on my 85k mileage Mini. While the prices aren't as cheap as repairing a Honda, it was definitely more affordable than the BMW dealer. read more

Trust them with your mini. They do a great job. Mike and his team are fair priced and quick.

When my wife started having problems with her Mini it was very usual. It was very low mileage for a 2007 (22,000) and we hadn't had any problems up tot this point. We brought it to the MINI dealer and they said it was a 20.00 seal that could be fixed but they'd have to take the engine out to get to it. So of course we didn't do that. We brought it to our local mechanics who did what they could, made the noise kind of go away and gave us a little bit of relief from thinking the worst. Then we found Mike on Yelp. We brought it in, he asked us right away if it made a certain noise, of course it did, and he knew exactly what it was, how much it would cost and how long to fix it (and it was less than replacing the seal). Well Mike had it in his shop, gave us several updates during the time he had it and then called to say it was ready. It hadn't run like that since the day she bought it. Mike is great. MP Motorwerks is now our go to shop and we wouldn't feel right bringing it to any other place. If you have a problem with your MINI or other foreign car, please take the time to bring it to Mike. The results will be incredible, affordable, and you'll be back to driving happily before you know it. read more

Great customer service!! I had car issues today and got great help very quickly. Affordable and friendly will be back!

They were not able to assist me with my needs but I appreciate the feedback and the quick response. Good communication will get a five start rating everyday in my book. I've taken my Audi here for about three or four years for routine maintenance. Always have had a great experience. Needed new tires recently and they gave what I found to be a very reasonable price, and did not try to upsell me on the most expensive options. Two weeks later - I have a nail stuck in one of my new tires. Called that morning, brought my car by that afternoon, and they patched it in 15 minutes at no charge. Cannot recommend them enough! I don't leave Yelp reviews often (or ever), but I feel like these guys deserve a shout out! read more
