My wife made an appointment with Eurowise to get the turn signal fixed. She was told that it could be a simple fix and there would be a diagnostic fee. The techs came back and said that it would be $1200 to make the repair and that she owed $190 to diagnose the issue. $190 to not fix anything and then quote us $1200 to fix the turn signal! There was not option to refund the diagnostic fee if the service was booked. This seems egregious and greedy at the same time. We had decent experiences with this shop in the past but this is ridiculous. read more

Watch out for these characters. If you don't know much about auto repair, you could easily be taken advantage of at this shop. I'm a decent amateur wrench. I own a couple Porsches, I have an extensive collection of tools and I enjoy doing my own work when I have the time. That said, I don't always have the time & I thought I'd take this opportunity to vet a local Indy shop with an eye toward a long term relationship. I brought my 958.2TT (Cayenne) in for a door lock actuator replacement. Pretty obvious that was the issue but I understand that they have to follow procedure. So, they charge me $150 to diagnose a failed door lock actuator and quote me $200 for the part and $670 for labor but the part is a special order and won't be in for 10 days. I immediately smell the bs and do a bit of research. The part is used on almost every VW, Audi and Porsche made during the mid-2010's so it's pretty common. In fact, I had one shipped to me in 3 days from FCPEuro with a lifetime warranty for $90 delivered. Then, I checked the book for the expected labor to R&R a door lock actuator and it comes in at 2 hours. So, they think their time is worth $335/hr. Needless to say, I'll be doing the job myself over a couple beers this weekend and I'll never return to Eurowise. I don't mind them making a profit but this was just gouging. read more

I've had 2 Cayennes built by Eurowise in the last couple of years with very mixed reviews. Both builds are on their website under "Black 958 Turbo" (which is actually navy blue) and "Blue 958 GTS". The blue GTS turned out nice and I have since sold it, but the turbo had MANY issues. First, I used a shipping company recommended by Eurowise and the car arrived to their shop with $5000 worth of damage. The shipping company didn't lock down the car and it bounced between two other cars for the entire trip to NC. The shipping company ended up paying for the damages. When the car was finally finished and shipped back to me, it was very creaky. The service manger said to lube the suspension parts and it should go away. It didn't. I took it to a local mechanic who sad the subframe bolts were not even tightened and the steering alignment was not done when the car was lifted (which it should have been). Dangerous and disappointing. read more

Awesome service on my 1999 Volkswagen baby. This location was recommended from my mechanic in Memphis, whom I trust completely. And I don't trust anyone. My Memphis mechanic, Wolfsburg Automotive was recommended by the Volkswagen dealership in Memphis when they could not fix my car. And Wolfsburg has been repairing my baby since 2009. Therefore their recommendation to Eurowise meant a lot. They not only corrected my issues but have me a very good deal on some other factory needed updates. This was my first time taking my Audi A4 to this shop. I am very pleased with the work Eurowise performed to my car. I had the timing chain replaced. Everyone I talked to was very helpful. I dropped my car off in the morning and picked it up by end of day. They do have an early drop off service which was very helpful given that they open at 9am. While changing the timing belt they found that that thermostat needed to be replaced. They ordered the piece from Audi and went back two days later to have it replace. Waited inside while they worked on my car. There is a small working area that is very convenient. My car is running like new. I really liked the job they did and the service I received. The job has a two year or 24K mile warranty. They also explained to me what jobs they can do and which ones I still need to go to the dealer. I liked the transparency. I'm already impressed. I called a couple of weeks ago to see if the shop offered glass repair (my daughter's driver side window was broken/shattered) and spoke with Evan. He was very pleasant and energetic. While Evan confirmed the shop did not perform such service, he kindly gave me the number to someone else that could help. We both agreed to get my daughter's car window repaired first before scheduling an appointment to bring my car in for maintenance service. Evan mentioned he could get me in right away since they were not backed up with BMWs right now. My daughter and I later drove out to see where the shop was located in proportion to where we live. There's newly not much more I can say about them. They offer a valued and responsive service. When it comes to doing oil changes on BMW you have to be specific to the car and they were. So I will be going back to them for other work that I need in the future. I highly recommend the Based on the price it's not like they raise the price specifically just because you have a premium vehicle. Like some out there who would do that. How I feel fully synthetic should not cost $10-$12 a quart Then you tack on some outlandish type of installation service on top. Like some out there will try to mark up the price like that. That's the stigma that I have to go through I don't feel like I have to be punished for accomplishing something in life where I can afford and maintain a nice vehicle. I've read some negative reviews about this shop. Frankly, I'm puzzled. If you own a German Car, most people realize that owning one that is 'out-of-warranty' for a number of years after the warranty has expired; can be quite costly. For those of us who find German cars not only appealing as a means of transportation, but also; as a hobbie - we value long-lasting relationships with competent mechanics and engaged owners of independent car shops. Short-sighted thinking that after only (1) visit - you should attempt to destroy the reputation of a well-meaning and competent group of automotive engineers just because you didn't receive what you expected - is - well - short sighted. I have 3 BMWs that are professionally and reliably maintained by Eurowise. I've seen good and bad mechanics arrive and leave Eurowise over the last 3 years that I've done business with them. Frankly - only the good ones are left. If you value long-lasting relationships as it pertains to the cars we love and drive - then I would suggest giving these guys a 2nd and even 3rd chance. After all, a small squabble over a $100 repair bill is nothing - compared to what you'll eventually wind up paying for more significant repairs to your German car over time (like timing-chains, coolant re-seals, transmission repairs etc ...) Not only are the technicians and management team fair in their pricing - they absolutely stand by their work - no questions asked. And they are a great group of guys on top of their game! Made the call and I got Dillon and he was super helpful in providing me an estimate for parts/labor ( better than the price point of dealership I must add). I thought it over and called back to set an appointment and once again Dillon set it all up. I dropped my car off for a few days but it was for a bigger job. By educating me and working around my budget. I have a 2001 VW jetta, and it turns out that it needs more than $1000 in repairs. Given that I am a girl on a budget they worked with me to get parts at cost, and they suggested a staggered approach - they prioritized the repairs that need to be done and then suggested which ones could wait. Everyone is always skeptical about mechanics, but these guys made me feel at ease as they walked me through every problem in my car in a language that I could understand. No scare tactics whatsoever! Other than their great service, this place has probably one of the cheapest hourly rates for labor. If I'm not wrong it's $75/hr. Another convenient thing about this place is that they are close to the light rail - Woodlawn station. IIf you live somewhere reachable by this mode of transportation, you can skip the part where you annoy your friends to help you drop off and pick up your car. This is a REAL shop that is intense and focused on delivering top notch service and work 100% of the time. I didn't do any price comparison so I can't comment on prices, but I had a very enjoyable experience with Eurowise. I have an Audi TT and it is my baby. I had taken it to various "import" shops in charlotte over the years. One would never call me unless it was to sell me more stuff. Eurowise was much different. They called me when they figured out what was wrong to get authorization, they called me as soon as my car was ready so I didn't make any trips out there for no reason, they also called to know if I was picking it up that night or if they should pull it it. They fixed what I took it in for and even identified a problem I didn't mention after another mechanic told me I was just making it up. I endured that issues for months and Eurowise fixed it right up. Plus they are right off the light rail line so I don't have to hound people to take me to pick up my car. Sure, there are a lot of "tuners" who hang out there, but for Audi service I left with a very professional experience. read more
