    potato soup
    Sydney C.

I got the cream potato soup which comes with some sourdough. We got a cup and they upgraded us to a bowl! The soup was really hot but the sourdough was pretty good. I would say it is more on the pricey side. My total was 23 dollars for two soups and a drink. The place is pretty clean and the owner was really nice. There is also a bathroom if needed. We went on a Wednesday at 4 and no one was there. We also got a free cookie which was really nice of them! Next time i will try a sandwich!

Stopped by the brand new location in Millbrae at the Gateway at Millbrae Station and had a very pleasant experience. The space is bright and welcoming and the staff is friendly. The space was clean and organized. It was quite busy during the lunch hour but the food was brought out very quickly. Service was great and staff were really friendly. I ordered a small Chicken Caesar salad and it came with a side of fresh sourdough that was warm, soft and slightly crispy on the outside. Sourdough & Co. is a great addition to the many options in the neighborhood. I'll definitely be back!

Sourdough and Co. is our joint. We love it! It is convenient, clean, fabulous service, with Really Good sandwiches and soup. We will swing by twice a week a or so and never disappointed. Quality, taste, health, and flavor every time. A sure thing....enjoy their soups everyone

We are here Saturday with my 2 daughters and one grandson. Staff are pretty nice, and I believe his name is Robin, well i can described him as friendly, polite, and efficient. We order roast beef sandwhich and kids meal. Decent size and good yummy chili soup. Everything went well. Perfect food :) Highly recommended !!!

Barbecue chicken flatbread, and chili soup

Amazing barbecue chicken flatbread, and fresh chili soup. I also love the turkey and salami sandwiches! You can't go wrong. The cookies are freshly baked and amazing also. We'll definitely be back.

Amazing sandwich, amazing service, amazing atmosphere!!! This is my new favorite sandwich shop, and I can't wait to return to get more yummy food!

The soup bowl should be bigger than it is for the price. And if there is a meat that is in the soup there should be more than 2 tiny pieces.

I just picked through all of them and ate the remaining dish afterwards- the potato salad was yummy and the zhajiangmian was savory and came with lots of minced pork! My boyfriend enjoyed his Lanzhou beef noodles a lot, the beef was tender and the broth was incredibly flavorful and delicious. He liked the pork burger a lot as well, they did not skimp on the meat and the bun was fluffy! I would highly recommend this dish to anyone, it's a classic that is done well! Sauerkraut fish set comes with a side of garlic cucumbers and two lamb skewers. The broth for the sauerkraut fish was good but the texture of the fish was weird. It's supposed to be snakehead fish but had a texture like frog. Spicy marinated potatoes strings was good Marinated wood ear fungus salad was excellent Nice clean interior. We were seated right away, and the restaurant itself is clean, nice, and spacious. I can imagine it getting packed during peak hours--and honestly, it should. I'm going straight to the point: Han Sang has the best Galbi Jjim I've ever had. I've been to other places (which shall remain unnamed) that proudly claim they have the best Galbi Jjim, but I'm happy to say I've finally found the one. At the same time, I'm a little sad because I live in SoCal, which means I can't just come here whenever the craving hits. This dish checked every box imaginable. The beef was incredibly flavorful, fall-apart tender, and they gave a generous amount of meat. And when I say meat, I mean actual meat--not a pile of bones disguised as a serving. (Yes, that's coming from past restaurant trauma.) You definitely get your money's worth here. The rice cakes were cooked perfectly and soaked up all that rich, savory sauce. Then came the surprise waiting at the bottom: glass noodles. Not the usual thin ones either--these were thicker, chewier, and absolutely delicious. Every bite was packed with flavor. The entire dish was so satisfying it genuinely made me happy. We also ordered the Chadol and Yangji Suyuk, a beef brisket soup that was exactly what we needed on a cold evening. The brisket was tender, and as expected, the broth arrived lightly seasoned so you can adjust it to your liking. After adding a little salt, pepper, and some ssamjang, it became the perfect comforting bowl of soup. Warm, hearty, and incredibly satisfying. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try their Bossam because the portions were huge and we could barely finish what we ordered. That's not a complaint--if anything, it's the perfect excuse to come back. Maybe this is what people mean when they say they left their heart in San Francisco. Mine might actually be sitting in a bowl of Galbi Jjim at Han Sang.

It can get a little busy during lunch hour but we were able to get a table for our party of 2 in around 10 minutes. Their menu had a variety of dishes, most prominent were the assortment of noodle dishes from dry to soupy or spicy. Leek Pancake - This was made so well, it was thin yet crispy and held together well. The leeks gave a subtle flavor and were a little tough to bite through but it tasted so good, especially dipped in the side sauce. Yangji Chadol Sul Long Tang - At first glance, this setup is so nice with the assortment of sides at the top to the different items you can add into the soup. I loved the fish cake side as well as the kimchi which they do give refills of. It was nice being able to add seasoning in the soup to match my taste and so perfect combined all together with the radish side sauce. The meat is pretty generous and soft as well with the thin chewy noodles. Such a healing comforting dish. In addition to the food, the workers were so kind and attentive, always helping us to refill our side dishes when needed. Probably one of the best sul long tangs I have had and I keep coming back time and again for it.

It came with cucumber and wood ear mushroom at least 8 pieces of chicken, fungus salad, some peanuts, one small egg roll, green onion paste and tasty rice cooked in some chicken stock/fat. It also included a small bowl of soup. It was all great in our opinion. When you order online - you get a text message that your order is confirmed. Customary at most Vietnamese restaurants, you get your food with minimal check ins and not even a plate clearing until the bill comes. This was NOT the case here. There service was definitely in the A/A+ range! I ordered on my phone via QR code, but there was an option to order in person from a server. I ordered many items to try out. I ordered spring rolls, crispy salt and pepper wings, grilled pork banh mi, beef dac beit pho, and a Thai iced tea. Thai Iced Tea was pretty good. Grade: A I thought the Spring Rolls were decent, but what made them even better was the peanut sauce! I always hate when the peanut sauce is watery and this was far from that! An excellent gooey peanut sauce and maybe one of the best I've had fpr consistency. Grade: A- Crispy salt and pepper wings definitely had an incredible crunch. They were up there in crunchiness. The drumettes were meaty which I appreciated. They were well seasoned also. I think I need to try their other wings before crowning these, but some of the cruncheist wings I've had for sure. Grade: A- Beef Dac Biet Pho had some real high quality meat in it. I had options in noodle and my go-to for any pho spot is the egg noodles. I wish it had more bo vien in it, but I appreciated the combo of meats. The broth seemed authentic, but I wanted a tad more flavor out of it without adding sauces. Overall, the pho grade was a B+ bordering an A-. The star of the show was the grilled pork banh mi. The meat was tender and saucy. In fairness I asked for extra pickles and mayo, but I was very impressed. The bread had the crispy crunch we all look for but minus the stale bread. The breads soft yet crispness made it seem as if it just came out of the oven! I'm going to dub this as the best I've had in the Bay Area! There I said it! Grade: A+ Everyone who ordered the sampler seemed very pleased at other tables, I would definitely try that. Also, want to try the other banh mis and noodle options for the pho. There was a nice vibe at this place. I didn't feel rushed although they do close fairly early at 8pm. The server's mom is the one cooking in the kitchen and I appreciated the family feeling at this place. They do have a newer location in San Francisco that has a DJ Friday nights that I may check out. I believe the server said that they are open til 2am on most nights, but I may have misheard her. Feel free to Yelp that location. My only disappointment was that I really love papaya salad and it was not an option. I may make this my go-to spot from now on, but as a Yelper, we all know we will keep trying new places. This will be the one I continue to frequent. Well done Pho de Nguyen!

We hadn't eaten anything else that day, so we suspect something from the meal didn't sit well with either of us. That said, we can't say for certain that the restaurant was the cause. The first thing I noticed was that there was really not many pieces of ribs, maybe they made the ribs portion smaller to make room for the lap cheung I ordered? The dish description also says that it includes taro, but I didn't have a single piece of taro in my pot. Strangely, although this place seems to share a kitchen with Social Eatery, the rice was cooked much more poorly here, which is obviously a shame for a place specializing in clay pot rice. It seems like the rice had too much water added, so it was a bit overcooked - you couldn't feel the "single grain" mouthfeel texture you should expect from well-cooked, high quality rice. Since the rice was too mushy, it obviously didn't crisp well either. Though it had some small amount of bits stuck to the edges of the metal (not clay!) pot, it was definitely not the super crispy, well browned "faan ziu" I expect, and not at all like the pictures featured in some earlier reviews of this restaurant.
