Masha'Allah tabarak'Allah, brother Esat is really cooking up some fire food for the public . Along with that, the hospitality is unmatched. Ordered the chicken wing plate plus added lamb skewer for an additional fee, which came with rice , tomato and onion salad, pickled jalapeños and a bunch of toasted sliced baguette . I'm finding Turkish food to rapidly become my preferred cuisine with the spices used and proper charcoal method of grilling. High quality meat paired with the Chef Esat's hands have really made for some amazingly delectable food. The chicken was juicy, smoky, grilled to perfection. The lamb tender, and melt in your mouth. I'm coming back tomorrow ان شاء الله .

The beef and chicken were both incredible. I'm into trying food trucks, so we decided to walk over here instead of the expensive hotel food. Zero regret.

I ordered the kabuli pulao and a Coke for pickup through DoorDash, planning a tidy lunch to enjoy near the bay once I got off work. When I arrived at the food truck, the gentleman working there unfortunately informed me that the items I had just ordered were sold out. He kindly suggested an alternative of tikka kabob, which I gladly accepted. The tikka kabob was tasty and well-seasoned, delivering a satisfying depth of flavor with each bite. The rice was fragrant with softly shredded carrots and raisins, adding subtle sweetness and texture that complemented the smoky kabob nicely. A generous addition on top of my order were complimentary Watani fries, drizzled with a sauce reminiscent of a tangy chimichurri. The food truck itself sits in the same lot as the mosque in Burlingame, which is a convenient spot to park. It's also just a couple of blocks away from the bay shore as well, making the entire experience easy to fit into a pleasant outing for lunch by the water: While I initially sought kabuli pulao, the recommended tikka kabob turned out to be a great alternative. The flavors were strong, the rice provided a nice counterpoint, and the chimichurri-like sauce on the fries was a standout touch. Service was friendly and kind. Definitely open to trying the original kabuli pulao on a future trip, but I'd gladly rely on the team's thoughtful substitutions again. Overall, this place was lovely and definitely will return again.

Every single item was nothing short of amazing, full of flavor, and perfectly served. They do big portions here. They make the fries fresh here and you can taste it. They put alot of tlc into their food which is why it can take a bit. Only thing forgotten yesterday was chutney, and we missed it with every item. We will have to go back and try more again soon.

The chaat has such a perfect balance of sweet, savory, spicy, and has an incredibly addictive chew. The elephant dosa is the best dosa on the peninsula - their spice adds a subtle flavor and aroma that is unmatched. Shoutout to our waitress Jenna who was so professional and was so attentive waiting on us. She made our experience all the much better, thank you Jenna!

However, the menu felt much more limited than I remembered from several years ago, when it seemed more interesting and expansive. My friend and I shared the Chutney Prawns for $18 and the White Elephant Dosa for $26, along with one cocktail and one mocktail. Unfortunately, I was not especially impressed by the food. The prawns felt underwhelming for the price, and my mocktail was not particularly memorable. The dosa was visually impressive at two feet long, but it is ultimately still a very thin dosa and very crispy, and I found the seasoning somewhat overwhelming. The gunpowder and spices overpowered the dish for me, although the sauces and potato masala were flavorful. Our total came to approximately $90, and for that price, I expected a more satisfying overall experience. Service was also inconsistent. It was slow initially, and while our server was cordial and kind once he assisted us, he did not return to check on us after taking our order. We ultimately relied on the bartender for items such as an extra spoon and the check. The ambiance is beautiful, but between the limited menu, high prices, uneven food, and inattentive service, I do not feel the experience justified the cost. Unfortunately, I do not plan to return. For Michelin rated I expected more.

Having said that, Mingalaba is probably the most authentic Asian restaurant I've eaten at so far. You can there that there's no shortcuts with the dishes, nothing is watered down, everything is just real. The coconut chicken soup is something out of this world. It's not spicy at all. I can't describe it but it was really delicious, as with all the other dishes. The service was amazing and they even amended some of our dishes so that we could feed it to our kid (non-spicy). I really like this restaurant. Only such a shame we live so far now and only just discovered it. I'd visit again if I'm around.

I'd rank their flavors ever slightly better than other Burmese restaurants I've been to in the Bay Area. But their salad portion size felt like 1/8 of other places'. For hot dishes, about 1/2-1/3. Just cannot justify the price. What I liked: both aforementioned salads, samosa soup, curries. What I didn't like: house special noodles. Extremely bland. The service was lacking too. Also it felt like they wanted us to leave as soon as we finished. I was considering ordering a few more dishes (because, duh, I was still hungry due to the surprisingly small portions). But they brought us the check already; we were still eating! This was a workday lunch. They're almost full but still have available tables and no one's waiting. What's the rush?
