    Soggy wet pizza crust yummy

Ordered 2 Sorentos specials. The usual we get every week.... Well this time I think the change recipe the crust or soggy dough fell apart the whole 8" of the middle was wet . I called to speak with manager and 3 different people interviewed me why I need to talk to manager then I was hung up on

The food was really good, the service was great and the price could not be beat. There were plenty of patrons there so you know it's good when they have lots of customers. The ambiance was romantic. We went casual which was fine but we could have dressed up.

When we lived on west side, this was one of our favorite places for a quiet romantic meal. Then we sort of fell out of love with this place. We decided to revisit and see where it sat with is now. We went two weeks ago and I'm sitting here now to write this review and neither of us can remember what we got. Our takeaway is ... average. They took a very long time to wait on us. People who were seated after us got waiting on us first. That is a common theme when someone on your party is not white. Wanna see me not return to a place. That will do it. Doesn't matter how good the food is, which in this case wasn't even memorable.

We really enjoyed it. My wife and I shared the Meat Ravioli, a cup of Minestrone Soup and a Dinner Salad. The meal also came with Garlic Bread. The Ravioli was very good and was cooked perfectly. The Meat Sauce was meaty and flavorful. The Meatballs were smallish but tasty. The Salad and Soup were both simple and adequate. I'd eat here again.

This place was good. I was happy to come here for someone's birthday. They were able to accommodate a party of five. This place gets busy and busy fast. While we were waiting for our table, we watched another 10 groups come in. Didn't this place just open for dinner? This is crazy. The food was good We got a large variety of options. I had pizza. My wife had pasta. Someone got eggplant Parmesan. They had it all. Definitely a place that can fill up pretty quick. Definitely has that Homie feeling to it. Was happy to get in when we did. Enjoyed the bricks and the fireplace. The ambience was pretty nice.

    Regular side salad with dinner

Stopped by here on our way to the airport. Arrived around 6:15 on a Monday and had a 25 minute wait. Place is an old school restaurant. Dark with booths and tables with a light above each table. We ordered the regular and Greek dinner salad. Both were good but the Greek came with a lot of vegetables. Good salad. I ordered the portobello chicken with Marsala sauce. The chicken was perfectly grilled covered in cheese and sauce. They also gave me a lot of mushrooms which I enjoyed. My wife liked her eggplant. Nice pieces of eggplant covered in cheese and sauce. Our waiter was ok. Not much of a personality compared to the other waiters around us.

Trivia: What delicious morsel will your mouth be treated to moments after the check arrives? Trivia#2: Are shrimp and scampi synonymous? (I actually didn't know the answer and it set me on a side adventure of research. I love learning new things!) Ambiance: Bring a date here if you're looking for something fancy. Bring them around 3 pm on a Saturday and you'll have the whole place to yourselves. Service: Possibly my biggest pet peeve in a restaurant is when you are rushed through the courses. Before you have a chance to eat your appetizer, your salad arrives. Before the salad is complete, there's the server walking out with the entrees. It's the unnerving feeling where you think, "where do I put this?" But NOT HERE! I felt like I was able to slowly enjoy each component of the meal. My Greek salad was amazing. And I was able to finish it at a slow pace, the plate was cleared from the table, I took a sip of my wine, and voila!, the food arrived. Food: Every moment of the meal was delicious. From the ranch to the marinara, to the light breading on the zucchini that allowed for both the flavors of the breading and the flavors of the zucchini to pop. In my pasta arrabbiatta, I particularly liked that the scampi was cut into smaller chunks. It meant there were more of those tasty morsels distributed throughout the pasta. The entrees had generous portions and it meant lunch was also taken care of the next day. This super unimposing restaurant is a treasure.

Really not good food. I would not order from here again. Tomatoes in the Greek salad weren't quite ripe though the dressing was decent. Bread was cut into tiny slices and very underwhelming. The pasta was like a pile of misfitting cheese over blandly sauced pasta. Disappointing overall.

I was craving spaghetti and man it did not disappoint! We had amazing service from Debby and I heard she has been here for years!! Bottom line, what a great meal and I can't wait to get back!!

I'm giving this restaurant a 5 because the ambiance and service alone is wonderful. It's such a cozy spot on a chilly snowy day. You arrive into a low lit, classy yet casual vibe, so inviting. Great for a romantic date or a family dinner. The seafood stuffed mushrooms with lobster sauce worth it!! The pizza was fresh and delicious. Get the sun dried tomatoes on the pizza, yum! I look forward to trying the escargot next time, it sounds amazing. Oh the mozzarella sticks are good too.

Stuffed mushrooms with butter sauce on the side

Came here on a Wednesday nights. Reasonable time to wait for our table for 2people (@15 minutes). They had alot of take out orders to fulfill so they were busy. Had the stuffed mushrooms with butter on the side. Honestly it tasted liked breaded mushrooms and not mushrooms stuffed with seafood. I tried the Diablo scampi with linguini. It wasn't as spicy as I would have liked. In fact there was hardly any spice. I highly recommend the red blend of the house wine. It's deliciouso! And I also recommend switching out the house salad for the Greek salad because it's like a meal-very substantial.

    Lasagna
    Joanne C.

Service was great, waters were always filled. Lasagna: it was good but nothing special. Probably wouldn't get again. Spicy arriabata seafood pasta: portion is pretty big. Pasta flavor was lacking a little today, felt like it needed some more seasoning. But love that they give plenty of seafood! Comes with shrimp, scallops and halibut. Stuffed mushrooms: creamy!! But the sauce was a little too salty so I would suggest not pouring extra sauce over the mushrooms.

In the future I think I'd come for an appetizer and a couple of drinks and that's it. I felt the veal was tough on both ordered plates and potentially I would have preferred chicken. That being said the sauce was great. The grappa sauce had amazing flavor and the Marsala sauce also had great flavor. Plus the funghi appetizer was great with the bread. All of it was enjoyable enough for a return visit. This spot has very friendly staff, they move at a classic Alaska pace. Both are packed with flavor. Whether ordering in or ordering to go, keep in mind it takes quite a while--almost 10 to 15 mins--for the staff to make your sandwich, so I wouldn't recommend that you stop here in you're in a hurry because you're not going to get it out fast. In this case, call ahead about 30 mins or so if you're picking up. The prices are a little high, but it's worth the price for the quality of the food you're getting, which I can't say for most restaurants in the present era (2020s for those that are reading this in the 2030s and 2040s, if this platform still exists then lol!) Either way, the quality is HIGH and the flavor factor? HIGH! The Classic Piadina is very fresh tasting and comes with greens. It only comes in one size, so it's a little small for me. Still delicious! The Nonni is a pretty large sandwich, if you're getting the full sandwich. The onions combine with the meat enhances the flavors. The building that Originale is in presents itself as a very quaint and relaxed lunch spot with bright colors and large windows. It's a place you can go to sit and talk with friends. I look forward to trying more of their sandwiches.

I went with the "Favorito," and let's just say, it instantly earned its name. The prosciutto cotto was pure-savory-bliss-melt-in-your-mouth good. And the focaccia- fresh, herby, and perfectly balanced in thickness. It hugged the fillings just right without stealing the show. Also, the tomatoes- I did not expect them to be so buttery and delicious. I may have paused mid-bite to appreciate them. Yes, I'm that person. As a die-hard cheese lover, the little bonus cube of cheese on the side felt like a tiny gift--like the sandwich was giving me a wink and saying, "Hey, I see you." Originale, I'll be back. Other staff walked right past us without so much as a "someone will be right with you," which set a pretty uncomfortable tone right off the bat. We eventually got seated, but even with the restaurant being pretty empty it still took a while before a server showed up to the table. Our server wasn't rude or anything, but the energy was just completely flat. It felt like he could not care less about being there. Sodas got refilled once the entire night. Between being seated and appetizers, and again between appetizers and our entrees, he was basically nowhere to be found. The thing that really got me was being asked if we wanted boxes while our plates were still full and we were just sitting there having a conversation, never once offering to top off our drinks until we finally asked. It's a shame because the food really was solid and the restaurant itself has a nice warm vibe to it. ORSO clearly has a lot going for it and on a different night with more attentive service it could easily be a 4 or 5 star experience. For now it's hard to rate it higher than a 3 when the service makes what should be a really nice dinner feel like an afterthought.

Our server was patient, and very pleasant, bearing in mind that one of our party was a crotchety old man. Prior to ordering, he and i arrived first, and were perusing the menu, and he was relating the items he liked, and what he planned to order. He told me he liked both Shrimp Scampi and Shrimp Sinatra. Our other 2 attendees arrived and we ordered - i got Italian Chicken, which came with Soup or Salad, and Garlic Bread. Crotchety Old Man ordered Shrimp Scampi, I'll leave out the other 2 in the party, because I'm the reviewer, and i can only give feedback on what i ate, and my experience. I got the lemon chicken soup, i did like that, it was quite a thick soup, and the citrus flavour was noticeable, but not overpowering. I did get some chunks of chicken in the soup The entrees came out relatively quickly, and IMMEDIATELY there's an issue. Crotchety Old Man announces that he ordered Shrimp Sinatra, and he does not want "that" and he was actually quite rude about it (Hence the name I've given him) the 3 of us and the server told him he had ordered Shrimp Scampi, and he was getting ruder, "Take it away, i don't care what you do with it" and the highly patient server, said she'd have a Shrimp Sinatra made for him. Honestly, I'd have walked off, hence why I'm not a server I did not wait for his entree to be served, as it was WAY past my personal dinnertime, and I'd already been hangry when i got there. Ok, so there was a huge amount of food. Mine was served on fettucine noodles, in a white wine and lemon sauce, with what appeared to be 2 chicken breasts, butterflied. Some parts of the chicken were very tender and juicy, others seemed to be quite tough. The noodles were ok, the sauce was not that creamy, and somewhat lacking. Just ok. The garlic bread - i am not a fan. I like my garlic bread to be made from scratch with real butter, and real garlic, and in my opinion this was not that. I make good garlic bread at home. And it like it made with a french baguette, aka small round slices, with liberal tiny pieces of freshly diced garlic. I rarely use garlic powder or onion powder at home. I prefer real garlic, real onion. I will say that quality beats quantity every time. Serving me a huge pile of food won't impress me. I will not take this home in a box. It's just not worth the calories. Just give me 1 butterflied chicken breast, juicy, tender, well seasoned, over an adequate portion of beautifully cooked noodles, in a perfectly creamy white wine sauce, topped with browned, finely grated Parmigiano Reggiano and my eyes will roll in my head with delight.
