I enjoyed the Philly Bomb cheesesteak ! I ordered it with double meat extra cheese and jalapeños ! Good flavor got it delivered hot and ready to eat! I also wanted to try the Lamb Gyro which had AMAZING flavor with the tzatziki sauce added on the side. The order took about 45 min to get to the hotel and was still hot which I enjoyed very much. Decided not to cook tonight, so I said go with old faithful. No... just no. The cheese steak was nothing but oil and meat. Not a stitch of seasoning not even salt was applied. Large pepperoni and black olive pizza and a steak and cheese Philly with double meat and double cheese...omg. Also comes with fries. If you're going to order a Philly, double meat and double cheese was worth every calorie. Milanos web site says they cook and prepare the steak fresh each day and it's obvious. It was magnificent. It was juicy and so flavorful without being greasy at all. The bread was fresh and pillowy inside, firm and a little bit crunchy on the outside so it didn't fall apart even when I ripped it in half like a savage. It stayed together throughout consumption and with the amount of filling was perfect to share even though you won't want to. The pizza was delicious and had a great balance of sauce and toppings. No pic, it disappeared immediately. This also tasted fresh and is one of the better pizzas I've had in a long time. Nothing tasted highly processed like you get with chains. This was delivered via DoorDash and was on the way in about 20 minutes. It arrived so hot it was hard to be calm and not burn my face off in haste. It's hard to beat if you want a mix of the following: - locally owned - does delivery (at least through Doordash) - decent quality - decent prices There are places that satisfy one or even two of the above, but not all 4. (if there's another local pizza delivery place that you love, please get in my DMs!) Doordash delivery was pretty quick, but I really wish the pizza was hotter. Not sure if this is the fault of Milano's or of the driver. We got the Milano's Special 16" pizza and it was more than enough for two people. It cost us $20.45 before fee and tip. I like a good chefs mistake pizza. Unfortunately I was fooled by the 4 star review & the pictures of the chef's mistake pizza It's been awhile since I've ordered here & I don't remember being disappointed before but this time the pizza seemed undercooked & the toppings were uneven & seemed lite for this pizza. My pizza looked nothing like the other costumer pictures of the chef's mistake.. The crust was exceptionally bland & not crispy. When I looked at the bottom of my slice is was covered in tiny crosshatches which tells me this was a prefab, store bought & not home made crust. Seems like there is allot of cost cutting going on. It only takes one bad pizza to send me down the road. This may have been the only bad pizza they made yesterday but it was my pizza. This might be a good sandwich if delivered hot, but do yourself a favor-order a pizza from dominos/papa John's/Pizza Hut and get your food fast and still hot. I am the best in Anchorage to vote on a Philly cheesesteak place because I am born and raised in Philadelphia. Hands-down, this is the best Philadelphia cheesesteak there is in Anchorage, very authentic and I like it a lot. The restaurant is a little small so it's hard for big parties so you may want to take it to go if that's the case. But if it's just you and somebody else, it's perfect. However we ordered 2 orders of Galic bread because my kids always go through it super fast and it was not good. There was not a lot of garlic taste but the worst part was it being wrapped in tinfoil. I decided to swing by here on a lunch break last week after finding a take-out menu tucked away in a desk drawer at my office. Milano's Pizza is a long-time take out place that is located in a tiny strip mall behind 907 Wingman and next to Dipper Donuts. I distinctly remember these guys at their old location across from Franz's Bakery on Spenard years ago before settling on their current location. I placed an order to go for a Chicken Parmesan Sub on the phone and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. That was perfect since I placed the call about 10 minutes before my scheduled lunch at noon. Working just down the road made it even more convenient by just a few minutes. By the time I got there, the sub was already bagged and ready to go with no waiting at the front. I quickly returned to the office and settled down to eat. The Chicken Parmesan was delicious with lots of melted mozzarella cheese and a side of hot crispy fries, a few resting on the cheese itself. The marinara sauce was excellent with a thick consistency and a significant amount of garlic blended in. The pizzas are also good here, despite the wide variety of places competing with them in the midtown area. However, they have had a loyal customer base over the years that keeps this place going strong today. The Greek Pizza (garlic butter, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, feta cheese, fresh tomatoes, and extra mozzarella) as well as the Gyro Pizza (beef, lamb, garlic butter, fresh tomatoes, mushrooms and onions topped with cucumber sauce) are menu items not to be missed out on when ordering for take-out or delivery. Milano's is one of my office's go-to restaurants for lunch orders. They are locally owned, close by, and consistent in their quality. Staff are always extremely friendly and usually deliver well before the quoted time. The Chef's Mistake pizza is a solid choice that everyone enjoys each time we order it, and I feel like they take care to ensure it is made well. My personal favorite is the Greek salad. Since I'm a picky eater, I do request substitutions on my salad, and they are very accommodating and prepare it perfectly. The house dressing that comes with it tastes freshly made each time, and I might have become slightly addicted to it. I've had nothing but great experiences with Milano's.
