This is the floppy greasy pizza

This restaurant is obviously not professionally managed. I was told it would take 45 minutes and the pizza literally arrived two hours later. I called several times for an update (around one hour mark, which she said the pizza would arrive within 30 minutes, so I called about 45 minutes later and she just kept saying the guy had just left. It would be there soon even though it was only a four minute drive and probably a 10 minute walk.) and we were literally only half a mile away. The pizza was very floppy. The girl on the phone was very rude and even hung up on me one time. It would've been faster to drive to Girdwood to grab a bite to eat and then it was to wait for this gross, greasy pizza. After eating a couple slices, we felt like we were gonna die. I have a big problem with dishonesty. If they had told me when I ordered, it was gonna take two hours. I could've decided to wait or go somewhere else, but they lied to me on multiple occasions, and that's where I draw the line. We won't be coming back!

So called 'deep dish' pizza - aka the 'deep grease'

We have tried to order several times to our household - sometimes myself ordering, sometimes others, including guests. The last 4 orders prior to tonight, whether placed by myself or someone else were not very good. One never was never even delivered, two came wrong and 2 out of those 4 were 100% cold. We didn't make a deal out of it those 4 times.. I saw a kinda cool post come up about their 1 year anniversary of new ownership while I was re doing our local business recommendations for our vacation rentals so we wanted to support someone local tonight. Tonight, our 5th attempt, will be the very last, but that's ok because the guy on the phone, who seems to be the owner, told us to f**k off and not call again lol. I was pretty pissed when I called and didn't have much nice to say- after trying this place a 5th time (which obviously makes me at fault also - who gives anyplace 5 tries ) the food we got was absolutely disgusting and so overcooked that it was not edible. On top of that, there was so much grease from their 'deep dish' pizza that the box literally soaked my countertop in grease and the box was starting to fall apart. Breadsticks? Should probably re-name them bricksticks. Guy on the phone did say I shouldn't be surprised at their version of 'deep dish' pizza and that there are photos on the website. Well, can't seem to find those pizza photos, but took a couple of ourselves because I would need a visual to even try to explain what this is. So, we just paid 37 dollars for a giant brick of wasted food to be tossed in the trash - I guess that's one way to support local - just call them and give them your money but ask them to just keep the food and go someplace else lol.. We won't be ordering ever again and we also will remove Capones from our recommended list for our guests in our vacation rentals.

This is my first time ordering from Capone's and I'm so happy I did! We ordered our pizza on thick crust and it's perfectly doughy and chewy. They did not skimp on the cheese or toppings and my pie arrived hot and on time. I requested contactless delivery and they honored my request and my specific directions. I look forward to ordering again!

Delicious! Friendly staff. Pizza was ready on time. Online ordering was easy. Will be going back.

I am not normally a pizza person, but let me tell you, you HAVE to try this place. The new owners are excellent and so friendly, I don't get judged for my bizarre affection for anchovies and pineapple. They're happy to do thick or thin crust, depending on your preference, though the standard usually comes out pretty perfect. Plus, they actually understand that being generous with good marinara sauce is one of the best parts of pizza! I live way out of their delivery range, but it's worth it to drive across town for great service and great food. Highly, highly recommend trying this spot for your future pizza nights!

My go to is the Jalapeño Business / veggie delight. This place is busy no matter what time and day you come, so prepare to wait if you hit peak hours. But on the upside - the beers are great too and fast to arrive, so you won't be thirsty while waiting. Noise level is usually low for being so busy, but it may depend on where you end up getting seated. Nice airy feel to the place, decorated in a style that I guess can only be described as...Alaskan? ‍ And yes, even if you stay downtown the drive over here is worth it.

After this experience I'm done recommending it. They really missed the mark. For starters we got my husband's usual Chipotle steak pizza. Right off the bat I notice it's a weird oval kind of shape. It's not a circle and the pieces don't add up. I'm positive that the someone in the kitchen sliced out the middle the pizza and put it in the box like it wouldn't be noticed. Worst of all. I ordered a pound of their Korean style wings. I usually love these. I thought initially that these are so tiny it's a good thing it's by the weight, not quantity. Well. These were not fit for consumption. I managed to eat two wings that were on the crunchy side. The rest were unfit for consumption. We're talking chicken wing jerky. A bite cracks right through the bone, crunchy marrow, dry translucent meat. What a disappointment. This wouldn't even be something you could feed a dog. So bad. This experience was the worst I've had with Moose's Tooth. It was so disappointing and also weird. Do better.

Now, my first culinary experience with this restaurant was a good one, their cheese burger with honey and whipped Brie?!?!?!?!?! Is a masterpiece disguised as a cheese burger the tater tots on the side? Meh! Nothing to see there. The most mind-binding, disrespectful thing I came across at this establishment is them calling a glorified Little Caesar's quality cheese bread with a side of dipping sauce a "Pizza" if it wasn't enough that this cheese bread was marketed as a "Pizza" which it is not but to call it a Detroit style Deep dish? Unforgivable! I wanted to love this pizza so badly but I cannot allow anyone else to spend $28.00 on a dried out, over cooked order of cheese bread. The service was good until I was given Diet Coke instead of Coke Zero. I swear service recovery is such a lost art. C-

I was in beautiful Anchorage and…read morewanted to grab some lunch. 49th state brewing was perfect because it wasn't far from my hotel and because it was so cold outside, I didn't want my walk to exceed 15 minutes. I was really hungry so I got there right when they opened at 11 a.m. I was able to be seated immediately and opted to sit upstairs where the tables were lower as compared to downstairs where the tables were high tops. Off the bat the food is phenomenal. For starters I got their popular handmade Bavarian pretzel. It was perfectly seasoned with butter and salt and the pretzel itself was soft and fluffy. It came with a side of cheese which was just as tasty. I was a little nervous it would taste like the melted cheese you eat at an amusement park- but this cheese had fantastic quality. One really neat thing about this brewery is they make their own fountain drinks! I tried the raspberry one and as you can see they aren't shy about the portions! The drink was really good. It had a great flavor to it, and a nice balance. The raspberry wasn't overpowering which I'm grateful for. For my entree I had the Yak burger that came with a side of tater tots. My waiter recommended I get it cooked at medium to keep it juicy. Typically I'm a medium well to well done type of girl, but I decided to trust his judgement and he was right! The burger was huge, messy, and delicious. The medium was definitely a good call. It was juicy but not so red where it would be off putting! Overall, I had a really incredible dining experience at 49th state brewing. And the prices were unbelievably reasonable. My meal came out to about $52 (not including my tip). I would love to come back when it's a bit warmer and sit outside- the views from the restaurant are phenomenal. Also, shout out to my waiter!
