I've had pretty good pizza here. It's all from frozen or canned Pre salted precut pre cooked to death Shrooms , pineapple, pepperoni , is that sausage or dog treats. Ok that was a low blow. My bad. Been meaning to try Amore's Pizza for ages, ... and finally had to the chance to do so. Pulled in the driveway and walked in - Akee (spelling may be way wrong) the owner, we presume - was creating pizzas as we entered. He stated a 10 minute wait, no problem, we sat outside at the picnic table under the umbrella - weather was WAY to nice not to! :) Akee was spot on - our pizza was done in no time. We decided to have a slice right there and then, before taking it home - YUM! It was FABULOUS! For me it was reminiscent of the ole local neighborhood pizza places in New York and tasted GREAT! I certainly DID go back in and told Akee how much we enjoyed it. Over all I give him 5 stars. Best yet, ... it's in our 'hood, ... could walk if we wanted. New fav pizza place? Pizza was fantastic and the service was great. The woman in the shop had our order ready when we arrived to pick it up and was so friendly and welcoming. The toppings were very good. We ordered the Amore's Special, Popeye's Favorite, the Greek Pizza, cheese bread and wings. While I wouldn't really recommend the wings as they seemed to be frozen to oven type- everything else was quality. The kid's favorite pizza was Popeyes favorite, we all love spinach but the feta gave it that extra pizazz! This little place doesn't look like much from the outside, but those places usually have the best food. We were not disappointed. Our family enjoyed the meal and we will he going back. read more

We have been wanting to try Amore's for a LONG time, we did the 2 large 2 topping deal and while the pizzas were definitely a good size we had NO leftovers because our family of four loved it ! Pizza is great and service is great! I don't live too close to this place but I make the drive for the service and the delicious food.

Their crust is perfectly cooked with a good crunch and perfect chew. Excellent customer service and food is hot and quick. If I have one critical comment is that I'm disappointed they don't have a Margherita or new York style on the menu. read more

Not the best pizza I've had but not the worst either. Delivery was about 30 minutes, which is pretty good. Ordered a Large Italian Combo & a XLarge Hawa'iian Pizza. The crust has a nice crunch to it but quite thin throughout. The Hawa'iian pizza had a bit too much cheese which made the dough super flimsy and hard to eat without the toppings sliding off. The only thing I would recommend is laying off on putting too much cheese. read more

I've been a loyalist to Amore's for over ten years. The pizza is consistently fast, fresh, delicious and affordable. They never skimp on the cheese, nor do they pile it on too thick. For me the two things that make a pizza are the crust (New York style with a little crunch around the edges) and the sauce (not chunky, the right amount of sweet & savory, and applied liberally) - Amore's gets it right every time. We placed our order about 11:30 pm. It arrived within the hour as promised. However, the two pizzas we ordered were wrong. I immediately called and explained the situation and the man who answered started to argue with me about what I ordered. He then put another man on the phone who told me he took the order and I was wrong. He told me he has a photographic memory. I was shocked.! I know without a shadow of a doubt I would have NEVER ordered pizza with spinach on it yet this man is telling me I am wrong! He then started to mumble something under his breath. I asked thinking maybe I wasn't hearing him. He finally spoke up and asked if I had touched one of the pizzas. OF COURSE I HAD! I was looking for the pineapple on the freaking Canadian bacon and pineapple pizza. They finally said they would bring the correct pizza. I asked if they could just credit my account...nope. I just wanted to call to use their credit another time. Not sure I will eat the pizza today or maybe even ever after the fight they put up. I am not sure what they may have done to it. Here are two points to take away. 1. Don't order here if you are in any way wanting quality service. 2. Why in the hell is a man with "photographic memory" making pizza??? Make of I what you wish. This place lost my business years ago, when there was no hesitancy to argue with me on the phone. We were regulars who live in the area, and really should have been treated better with more professionalism. All because we thought they had delivered a medium pizza instead of a large. The woman was practically yelling at me in broken English, stating that the box size had changed. So, since the new boxes were bigger, our pizza looked smaller. Whaaaaat. It was good pizza, and like I said, we were regulars. But never again. I am amazed this place is still in business having kept people on board who couldn't control themselves with the customer. Amore used to have a location closer to my house, so I haven't had it in a long time. But, I always loved ordering Amore for delivery, because it is just *so* good. Crust was perfect, toppings were just right, and definitely up there as one of my favorite pizza places. Reminds me a lot of my favorite pizza joint in my hometown. I think Amore is one of the better, high quality pizza places in Anchorage. Delivery and customer service could be a little off -- felt kind of turned off by a brusque guy when I did a pick-up once, but eh, oh well. He still made a fine pie. read more
