Played Santa Christmas Eve and was hungry after. Called in and was happy this place was still open and had a bangin' pizza deal. We ordered pepperoni pizza and a bottle of root beer. I was very pleased that for $9 I can get a piping hot large pepperoni pizza, and the pizza dough was very good. Was a wee bit worried it would taste like store bought cardboard. Will come again, happily. read more

Luigi's Pizza - Pepperoni pizza. - Pizza Near Me - Anchorage, Alaska

Great pizza and great service. I was not expecting pizza that good but definitely got it. They far exceeded my expectations.

Super friendly staff. They make sure your pizza is good. No skimping on the chews or the toppings. Lots of garlic powder. I ordered the Luigi's special. It's basically a combo pizza. Could have used more pizza sauce. I couldn't taste the marinara anywhere. The crust ain't the best. It's all about the toppings and the cheese for this place. No dine-in seating. Phone-in, pick up, take home, Netflix n chill. read more

Awesome, got three specialty extra large and they were excellent! Really nice owners. Take away only.

Got the chicken wings and a pepperoni and sausage pizza. They unfortunately forgot the sausage but I was able to let it go with how delicious the pizza was! The wings were crispy as well, but something about the pizza had a nostalgic taste to it! One of the better pizzas I've had here in town, better than Moose's Tooth read more

I don't know what it is about Anchorage but some of the best places I've been to don't look so great from the outside. In fact some of them don't look too great on the inside either. Luigi's pizza is no exception because the outside, in a very run down strip mall, raises doubt that this is a place to go get pizza. And the inside isn't much better with no seating for dining this is clearly a take-out pizza joint. But, the pizza was very good. The pepper steak sandwich was good. The baklava was, well, baklava. Sweet, sticky, delicious. read more

Pizza was delicious, made on time and easy to pickup. This is not a dine-in establishment.

The service was very nice. The pizza and wings on the other hand... so pizza in anchorage is pretty bad, but the city has a few gems like Saverio's. Unfortunately they were closed on the night we decided to have a pizza date. I don't think I could have been less impressed with Luigi's. The wings were dry and flavorless. The pizza was overly doughie undercooked and pretty bland. We got half veggie and half cheese. The veggie side basically had a pile of like 40 olives with a smattering of other vegetables. The cheese side also seemed to share the olive pile. Also, the pizza must have been cut by a blind monkey because the slices were so out of proportion to one another it was hard to share. It's pretty clear the cooks at Luigi's don't really care about quality. We won't be back. read more

I decided to come down here on a whim since this is one of the few pizza places I have never been to despite the fact that they have been in operation for years and I drive by that spot regularly. Luigi's Pizza is located in a dilapidated strip mall off of Arctic Blvd. and International Airport Rd. next to a tanning salon and Lucky Market. It is impressive to see the business still going in contrast to the numerous empty storefronts that housed Villa Nova Restaurant and most recently Hong Kong Spirit Food. Now that new restrictions for bars and restaurants are in place for dining in, it is more important than ever to support small long-time establishments like this. I decided to try a small Garlic Pizza (garlic sauce base, onions, mushrooms, feta cheese, and chunks of garlic with pepperoni as an added request). The pizza was prepared in a short amount of time (about 20 minutes after calling ahead). This resulted in just a two minute wait by the time I came down to pick it up. The pizza was delicious with a generous amount of diced garlic (not the powder that some other places would add as a topping). The only setback was that the texture of the dough is a little firmer than I would like but it wasn't enough to take away from the enjoyment of the pizza overall. There are some really good promotional deals for anyone who places an order for pickup. A medium Pepperoni Pizza will only cost you $5.00, one of the best values from a pizzeria that is not part of a franchise and an XL two-topping pizza is only $12.99. These are promotional deals that run all day and not just for lunch. The Taco Supreme Pizza (taco meat, tortilla chips, sour cream, black olives, onions, spicy taco sauce, and a cheese blend) and the Chili Pizza (chili sauce, ground beef, onions, and cheese) are some of the more interesting selections to try on the next visit. read more

Chose to try the pizza here based off positive reviews from other people. I ordered the 2 large 2 topping special for $20 which is an amazing deal for Alaska standards. First pie had mushrooms-extra cheese and the second pepperoni-jalapenos. The cheese and toppings were tasty and they didn't use a lot of sauce. The crust was thin and had a buttery taste. Overall I was very pleased with the cost and taste. Definitely will be trying other menu items in the future. read more

Simply put, pizza at this price and quality cannot be beat. And yes, I'm referring to their daily $5 medium pizza deal. Not even Pizza Hut or Domino's offer pizzas at this price point. Mind you, I've only ever had their medium pepperoni and cheese pizzas. But I'd argue that this puts me in a better position to judge the quality of their ingredients. As such, I'd say their dough is one of the better-tasting ones in town. It's thin with a light crisp and chewy crumb along with a mild yeasty flavor. Baked to perfection. Their sauce is pretty standard but not too sweet like other places. I'm not sure what else to say to get you to try their pizzas. You only have $5 to lose and at best, you've had one of the best pies Anchorage has to offer. Do it. read more

I created a yelp profile specifically to tell y'all that Luigi's did a great job on my work-party 10 pizza delivery to feed 30 people. The owner took my order at 11am and the pizzas were delivered hot and fresh at noon as I had requested. The delivery fella was very polite. The pizzas were enjoyed by everyone. Great prices for quality pies! There was only one photo available on yelp, so I wanted to fix that. Unfortunately, I only remembered to take pictures after we had chowed down on the first round. Better than nothing, eh? Great job, Luigi's! We'll keep ordering from you. read more

Hit the spot when we were craving a late night pizza but nothing to write home about. We got their medium 1 topping pizza for $6. For the price, can't complain! Similar to a dominos or little caesars pizza. Quick service too! read more

There is an abundance of mediocre pizza in Anchorage. Which is fine, because even bad pizza is still pretty OK, which is why it's the best food. Popular opinion dictates that Moose's Tooth is king, which is fine with me. And for more "artisan" pizza, Hearth and Marco T's fit the bill. I picture those three as the top tier of Anchorage pizza, and at the top of the next tier is Luigi's. The general quality and $5 medium pizza deal put it above the other places of this tier, and I think this is one of the more underrated spots in town. Luigi's is not here to blow your mind, just to serve you some tasty, affordable pizza. read more

Not bad pizza. Their prizes have gone up over time though. Ordered the gyro pizza and Hawaiian calzone. 3 stars because they forgot the tomatoes on the gyro pizza. Other than that, they're alright. Also sucks that they no longer do delivery. read more

I guess it is ok. Not the best pizza at least for me, just felt like the pizza wasn't made with love.

Classic pizza place. Salad done right. My father inlaw fav place for pizza. Go through grubhub, these guys don't deliver. My sister called once and said the guy was rude but he's not lol older male with a deep voice, English not being his 1st language. I came in one day and met him, very authentic and carefully fires everything up. Although it takes a bit, craft is Appreciated. Oh yeah, the pizza is delicious! read more

If you're looking for shitty customer service and mediocre pie this is your place. You pay for what you get! $5 pizza includes whatever nasty nose boogers and spit spray are coming off the guy who never washes his hands after handing money. Call your order ahead, or dont and say you did. Either way they will accuse you of lying. Place is dirty and the old man is beyond rude. I will miss the $5 belly ache from devouring a whole pie to myself, but I take hygiene and respect over that any day Luigi, Im going to see about Mario. read more

What a treat! Pizza is delicious, very fast preparation time, pleasant atmosphere (the owner also works the joint), and also very very cheap. What more can you ask for!? Luigi's, known as a "hole in the wall" pizza shop, is a hidden gem for a quality pie! Don't be fooled by the strip mall location or lack of decor, or seats for that matter. We always pick up our order so I can't comment on their delivery service. But I can tell you that the Pizza you'll get is worth the shortcomings of its surroundings. Awesome, awesome crust and the right amount of sauce and cheese, all made fresh and fast! read more

I LOVE Luigi's. One of the best kept secrets in Anchorage is the $5 medium pepperoni special.

I just attempted to call in an order. The guy on the phone swore at me because I was only ordering one pie, and then hung up. What he doesn't know is that I'm a first time shopper give them a try. And now he'll never get the chance. Oh well, Pizza Omega it is :) read more

The first time we ate the pizza, I did pick up. The food was amazing! Every time I have called the next 3 times the guy can't even understand me enough to get my order. He put the phone down for several minutes after saying hi but never asked me to hold. Second time a few weeks later, I got a hi & then silence until he started yelling across the shop. Then came back on the line "what you want to order". Just rude. I've had enough trying. read more

I ordered a pizza on a whim, because I saw the flyer from my roommates' pizza the night before. They offered a $12.99 2-topping XL special, so I thought I'd pick it up. The guy was pretty distant and hard to communicate to on the phone, but I paid in cash when I arrived and he was pretty happy about that! The service, albeit brief, was polite and nice, and the pizza was very tasty. It's definitely worth the $13. They also have $5 and $7.99 pick-up only specials. I believe the first is cheese; the latter is one topping. read more

Walked over to Luigu's since we were in a car all day and found the place in a low rent, spartan, strip-mall, but don't let that fool you. Luigu greets you from behind the counter and takes your order with a heavy Italian accent. After 15-20 minutes we picked up our calzones in pizza boxes. (Call ahead if you don't want to wait) I was sure that this wasn't our order since it was much larger than I anticipated, but Luigu insisted. When we finally got home we feasted on two tasty calzones with just the right amount of cheese, sauce & ingredients. Enjoy, they were worth the $25 ($10 for the M and $15 for the Lg). read more
