Muldoon pizza was my absolute favorite pizza for years and I know the brothers stayed a while to pass on their recipes and techniques but it's obvious the new creators blew them off. Keep trying to like but I guess I'm done. read more

Muldoon Pizza truly feels like family. Every time we walk through the door, we're greeted with smiles, laughs, and the kind of genuine warmth you rarely find these days. Their team is fun, welcoming, and full of wonderful people who care about their customers. The food? Amazing--every single time. Fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. And the prices are unbeatable for the quality you get. We host a monthly board game night there, and it has become one of our favorite traditions. They always make us feel at home, give us space to hang out, and treat us like part of the Muldoon Pizza family. I'm gonna be honest here....I the other reviews and decided to try this old school spot again because I like an abnormal amount of pineapple on my pizza and the super special did the trick. My experience though was it had a lot of pie apple but it also had the perfect amount of other toppings, the sauce was yummy and a good amount of cheese was present. They are currently remodeling so there is only takeout. The owner came out and said hello and gave me updates on the remodel and it sounds like they have some exciting plans. For sure a nice old school spot to support. read more

Pizza was very good. The girl who took my call was very helpful. I switched from being a carry out to a delivery. She got it delivered to me quickly. She was very communicative with me. She called me back when she said she would. It's hard to find good customer service these days read more

Service was great. Pizza crust had a crunch to it and was flavourful. Ordered the house and meat pizzas. Lasagna was cheesy, just not enough noodle for me. Lots of booths to fill, few tables for larger groups. read more

We have always been greeted so kindly! Server is prompt and polite. Food is amazing! I really like their pizza! It's very filling. We don't wait very long for anything. Water is served after being seated. We don't feel rushed either. It's a nice pizza spot! read more

Muldoon Pizza - The LG Super Special - Pizza Near Me - Anchorage, Alaska

We have been coming to this restaurant for years. It has consistently had great pizza, pasta, salads and sandwiches. The service is fast and the staff friendly and efficient. The prices are reasonable and it is good for families. They have a lively take out business that keeps the kitchen constantly making pizza and sandwiches. We are particularly fond of the antipasto salad. All the ingredients are fresh, and dressing is flavorful. The serving is large and we usually split it and then a pizza. I like it so much I have had one dining and then asked to have to go for later or the next day. Today we had the split the antipasto salad and a torpedo sandwich. The salad has lettuce, onion, tomato, mushrooms, black olives, oil and finger with Italian seasoning, mozzarella cheese. You have an option to add anchovies if you like the tiny salty fish to your salad at no extra cost. The sandwich had a fresh wide Italian bread roll, thinly sliced ham, tomato, onion, lettuce, an Italian dressing. The roll is lightly toasted and seasoned before the ingredients are added. This gives the Roll a warm taste with the cold ingredients. Excellently done and very tasty sandwich. Prices are reasonable and in light with Anchorage small family restaurants. This restaurant reminds me of the many small Italian family neighborhood restaurants in upstate NY. Give them a try and you won't be disappointed. This is not fancy or touristy. Check the hours as they are only open in the evenings. read more

Muldoon Pizza - Oma checking things out - Pizza Near Me - Anchorage, Alaska

Just went here for the first time with some friends and I really like the set up, it felt like I was in a pizza shop you would see on tv. The service was amazing and our waitress was quick too service anything we need we honestly never had to ask for anything. Now the pizza they serve here is the absolute best pizza you can find in Alaska, I went to other big name pizzerias before and it's nothing like there. Last thing too they have the best bread sticks in the world. SF - Over and out. read more

Anyone who knows me knows that I have very high pizza standards because I'm originally from Philly- home of THE BEST PIZZA AND CHEESESTEAKS. I have brutally high standards when it comes to these comfort foods. Muldoon makes a respectable cheese pie! I didn't have to add any seasonings, which I normally do. By east coast standards the pie is about 3.5, but here in Anchorage, you won't find anything better. Delicious and reasonably priced! read more

Muldoon Pizza - Cheese bread - Pizza Near Me - Anchorage, Alaska

Horrible experience! My husband and I have been getting pizza here for years. It must have been sold or something because we couldn't even find a phone number on the website. We had some questions about the a menu so we called using the number I had in my phone. The girl that answered the phone was so put out by having to answer questions that she put the phone down and later came back on the phone. I could hear other people laughing in the background and talking about her putting the phone down. We have always supported local businesses over Corporate entities. Needless to say, we will not "support"Muldoon Pizza EVER again! Very sad - it was a nice local place that many people and local sports teams frequented. One would think that with the current gov shutdown and civilian jobs being cut at JBER (right down the road), they might want to think twice before being rude and hateful to people. read more

It's my favorite pizza in Anchorage. The crust has just the right amount of crunchiness to it and the lady working the register and as waitress is always friendly. However, in terms of ambiance, it has the old-fashioned feel of a pizza parlor from the 1970's and 1980's and is run-down. But of course remodeling a restaurant is very expensive! The people preparing your food are a couple of twin brothers that as far as I know have owned and managed the place since it first opened. read more

I would give this restaurant a 10 star rating if I could! The food was excellent and the prices very reasonable. The server was beyond fantastic! She was so nice and went the extra mile to make sure we were all happy, She had a nice and friendly personality. We will be back!! read more

When I called to place the order, the female that answered wasn't friendly. When ending the call I said thank you, no response, just hung up. The pizza flavorless, resembled a frozen cardboard pizza, thin & nearly sauce less. Ususally when ordering a salad, a majority of restaurants put the dressing on the side, the dressing was already on the salad. When we picked up, paid for it & left, that was the ONLY time the female said thank you. Not ordering from there again. Bad experience all around. read more

First time eating with them. The two things that stood compared to other pizza establishments was the crust/dough was thinner and marinara sauce tasted smoother, a more homemade taste. Very little oregano. A bit spendy for 2 large pizzas. Close to 45 dollars read more

My favorite pizza place in all of Alaska! I love the Chef's Special and the cheese bread too. Yummy!!! read more

Fast friendly service, and I nice friendly family restaurant. The pizza was tasty, hot and fresh.

The pizza here is just absolutely terrible. It had no flavor at all and it was like eating cardboard. The meatballs had a very bland taste and as for the cheese bread it was also like eating cardboard. I can't speak for the service and the ambiance as I had ordered for takeout. read more

Ate here regularly years ago as the pizza was fantastic (10 yrs.) but had moved out of Anchorage, so no longer visited it. Recently was back in Anchorage for awhile, visiting relative and thought why not order a great pizza from here! Nice folks. The pizza took quite a long time to get made, which was odd because (out of 12 to 14? tables), only 5 tables had customers in them. (I didn't see but only one person come in to pick up their pizza and nobody leave to deliver any, the whole time I waited there). I Purchased the Super Special to go. Got home and opened up the box and it had the most pineapple I have ever seen in 50 yrs. of pizza's. In fact that appeared to be the the main ingredient above all else. There was supposed to be 4 kinds of meats on it, could only see about 3 and not very much. hard to find the mushrooms. Onions? Cheese was quite sparse, could see the crust through the toppings and it had almost no pizza sauce. If you had closed your eye's & tasted the pizza you would swear it was a sauce-free pizza. My father showed me his and I first thought maybe they didn't spread it around evenly. Nope, the whole pizza had so little sauce on it, it was like a red stain smeared underneath the very thin cheese and pizza crust. The the pizza & crust taste good - in spite of the too much pinapple, (of which I removed half.) and lack of sauce, etc. Great dissapointment. Maybe that is their style pizza. Everyone is different. So if you like pizza with little cheese (compared to other local pizzaria's), the almost no sauce, then this is the pizza for you, it does taste great. read more

So this was a trip down memory lane. I lived on Muldoon St. in the 70's when this pizza place was brand new and it was my favorite as a kid growing up. 45 years later I was happy to see it still existed and was even happier to discover that it tasted just as good as I remembered. In fact the inside décor doesn't look too different than what I remembered but it was the pizza that took my heart once again. read more

Great original pizza. Same taste, same toppings since forever. Just good pizza with nice slices.

Got rave reviews about this place from a coworker so I decided to try it out. Super mom n pop kinda shop in a sketchy looking strip mall but most of the exteriors of establishments are like that here in Anchorage so it didn't deter me. Ordered a large pepperoni pizza which came out to $18. It was hot and fresh and I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of sauce cheese and pepperonis. Compared to great Alaskan pizza and the standard chain restaurants it's was actually a decent pie. Somewhere in between Costco pizza and Mooses tooth. Nothing I'd write home about but a good go to when craving a simple pepperoni pizza. read more

Awesome place. Looks a bit sketch on the outside, but inside there's comfortable seating with the classic Pizza Hut style booths and table covers. Our server was very kind and friendly, and said many of the toppings were made fresh in house. The pizza was not too thick (they did have a thick crust on the menu if that's your thing) but overall was fantastic. So much cheese. Highly recommend stopping by- definitely will be back! read more

Muldoon Pizza - House special add pineapple with Kona Longboard on tap - Pizza Near Me - Anchorage, Alaska

I asked for a margarita pizza but they don't make that. Then I asked for a vegetarian which they do make. The 3 stars are for the crust it was very good....but wow that was not a great pizza. It had a few onions. a couple of olives. cheese unripe tomatoes and PINEAPPLE!!! WTH!! Who puts pineapple on a vegetarian. gross! But hey it is on their menu...it smelled awesome. Next time I will ask for what I want on the pizza. read more

Great pizza and staff. Ordered to go and done in 25. Perfect cheese pull and the marinara was flavorful. Walk in it's a cozy Italian / rustic vibe and the service was decent for in dining and to-go. Did the standard Pepperoni and Combo and both way better than the typical pizza. A home made crust - nothing quite like it. They threw in free ice cream sandwiches when we waited for our pizzas for a bit. read more

We have ordered from here for years. Tonight, was the worst that I have seen from them. Our pizza was almost un-edible it was so burnt. The only thing saving it was the pineapple (don't come at me for it). Sorry guys but I'm not tossing you in the hat for family nights anymore. read more

Great local pizzeria. Live the house special, family size - fulfilling and great reheated the next day.

Best pizza in Anchorage, nothing fancy, just good pizza. Been going here for 30 years

Very cool family business that has been around for many years. Excellent pizza, and yummy burgers. friendly staff, quiet and cozy, very casual atmosphere. Low prices. Not overly convenient location. read more

Not only is their pizza, some of the best around, (if not the best) but they treat you like your family. Soon as you walk in the girl greets you with a smile and a wave not to mention their honesty is very commendable. I forgot my brand new iphone in there the other night, and when I called it, they let me know exactly where it was at instead of just keeping it and secured it for me until I could get there to get it. read more

Muldoon pizza is conveniently located in well, Muldoon of course! The restaurant is spacious, clean, and I quickly discovered my booth seating was comfortable. The waitress, Michelle was super friendly, attentive and very likable. She promptly lit a candle, provided menus and got our drink order. The salad was a mountain of quality toppings, enough for two people to share. My half pepperoni / half cheese pizza was Very good! The crust was perfect to my liking; not too thick and not too thin. Once again, I noted the toppings were abundantly provided....my growling stomach shouted a big "thank you!" Ample parking available in front and side of the restaurant. read more

I'm pretty sure the even though Anchorage is flooded with tourists that very few end up here. We only ended up here because we have a buddy that lives down the street and he loves coming here because he said there's rarely because he said there's rarely crowds and he always gets the same booth. This is your typical, average, local pizza joint that is nothing to get excited about but nothing is terrible either. The pizza is as close to average as you can get. You'll never crave it, but you won't complain about it either. And no, it's nowhere near as good as places like Moose's Tooth or even out of the ovens that you'll see at 49th State Brewery or the Brewhouse. What you can bank on here is great value. Three of us ate like kings and the total bill was like $30. One of the disappointments was the salad. Unfortunately, it was all iceberg lettuce. Throw some romaine on there or even some spring greens and it would be much better. We also ordered sausage and spaghetti with marinara and just like the pizza there was nothing wrong with it at all it tasted like pasta with sauce nothing better or nothing worse. So why should you come here? Well, most likely they'll be an open booth for you and you'll get good service and tons of value. You're not going to have to wait online like you would at the downtown brew houses or at a place like Moose's Tooth. In fact, you may have this place all to yourself just like we did. read more
