Soot Removers did an awesome job. I called on a Friday afternoon and was able to get an appointment the following Tuesday for a cleaning and inspection ($255). On Monday evening Tikar reached out to confirm the appointment and promptly showed up the following morning at 8 am. Awesome job on holding true to the appointment time. Once here Tikar got to work cleaning and inspecting. After the inspection he suggested a couple repairs to increase the longevity of our fire place. I didn't bother shopping around but his prices seemed very appropriate for the work done. We had the crown coat applied to the top of the chimney for the masonary as well as a hole sealed up where the gas line comes into the fire box. Tikar did an awesome job. No dust, no mess quite frankly no headache at all. I would definitely hire them again for any of my fireplace work and maintenance. read more

By far the worse customer service I have ever received in a few years. I paid TiKar (owner) to do a chimney inspection and sweep, said I needed to replace the igniter. I approved his "professional recommendation". After a month of waiting he comes in and replaces it. Takes a pic of the chimney on but doesn't leave it on to confirm is working properly. I come back a few weeks later since I'm traveling and turn it on for the first time. The fans start working and it turn on. After 10 minutes of it being on, smoke starts coming out of the vents of the stove, I called him to see if he can give some guidance since the whole house was up on smoke and nothing. He texted me knowing that I had an emergency and didn't care to call back. The whole house was full of smoke, had to pay professional cleaners to clean the house. I told him he didn't fix it the issue with the stove since he didn't reply to my calls, finally he replies and said he's not giving me back my money but will come check on it again. I paid my employee to be there to confirm is working correctly, my employee was 30 minutes late but I had people in the house to let him in. Doesn't care to inspect the actual issue of the unit which is the smoke coming into the house. Washing his hands and leaves, I come back on and now that I have very expensive furniture it happens again and doesn't seem to care "again" doesn't pick up the calls. And his the "owner". We talk and says he's not responsible for the issues when I thought I paid a specialist to fix my stove. It goes down to 20 degrees with no heat, I wouldn't recommend for anyone to do any service with this person. Horrible experience as if he never came, still with a stove that does not work. read more

Well, what can I say? Tikar came to address the replacement of my fireplace gas pipe - which had eroded away to only a 3 inch stub... I explained that several other plumbers had come and quoted CRAZY prices because they could not get the pipe loose. He said that he would try and within 1 hour, not only was the pipe replaces, but a new assembly was in place, sealed up the bug hole that the prior owners of the house had left... First and foremost, I wish the company previously run by Tikar was somehow linked to this one because it would reflect just how amazing he is as a business owner, how he treats his customers, and the amazing job he does. As I often do, at the last minute, I was trying to find someone to come out to clean our fireplace and chimney before Christmas. I tried other companies that had a lot of reviews. Tikar was responding to my inquiries after hours on Tuesday evening, and was at my house Wednesday afternoon, the next day. Granted, he happened to have a cancellation, but he fit me right in. He showed up within the timeframe quoted, with an update as to when he was on his way including what time his gps showed his arrival time. Tikar is quite literally the friendliest, most professional person you can meet. He knows his stuff, does it well, efficiently, and thoroughly. All the while explains everything, and answers any questions you have. For someone as completely inexperienced as I am, that was huge! What should have been a pretty easy, straight forward job, turned out to be quite extensive. He had a lot of heavy lifting to do with our chimney/fireplace. Even though it took more time, and effort than we both originally thought, he still only charged me the very reasonable fee he originally quoted.
