However, I wasn't satisfied with the estimate I received for the repair. I decided to call around for a second opinion and had the pleasure of speaking with Andrew from Air Flow Bros. After explaining my situation, he took the time to clearly break down why a Freon refill might be necessary and what I should be looking out for with my A/C system. I explained our issue with our AC unit. Since the line was freezing he suspected low freon. We went outside and he measured the freon. After using his equipment he showed me it was low and said there may be a leak. Instead of trying to rip me off right away with a costly service he recommended to refill the freon and for us to check if the issue goes away. He also offered to return without a service fee if it does leak and he needs to come back out to check all the lines. So far so good. If you are looking for an honest, easy to understand AC/heater company Bernie is your guy. Service fee was $75.

Until our hero came......My in-laws contacted Bernie of Four Seasons, he's the guy who repairs and maintains the A/C and Heater in the condos at their place in Van Nuys. He actually opened the A/C unit and fix the cause of leak. The condensation from the A/C now goes properly thru the pipe. Excellent job! The most amazing thing was he only charged us $80. We saved a lot of money, we don't have to suffer sleepless nights of warm weather and our A/C is still running perfectly. :) My husband and I can't thank him enough. Twice per year since the purchase of the swamp cooler I have hired them to maintain the unit and for the past 5 years they have literally done nothing and only charged me for "tune ups" and "maintenance"!! I have attached images of the original invoice for the swamp cooler purchase, maintenance invoices and current pictures of the state of the unit. The only reason I found out about the condition of the unit is because this joke of a company started charging more (can you believe they don't do anything and they are still raising their prices?) so I hired a Artic Air 661-945-8822 located in Lancaster to come out and tune up the unit instead. Only to find out Climate Heating & Cooling have never once touched the swamp cooler and only charged me. I have attached photos of the current state of the swamp cooler. Everything is rusted, dirty, never oiled, leaking, and belt has never been replaced. I have contacted RUDY and he has ghosted me and has no response to why my unit is in this condition. The temps were 105+ degrees this week and the company couldn't get the job done. They literally told me to call another company so I called ECONO WEST. Talked to Dave, and he immediately sent out Dan. Dan came and immediately grabbed the necessary parts to be fixed and took them back to the shop right away but He was having trouble removing the fan at the shop, due to it being a 36year old part. That didn't , he took matters into his own hands and was trying to work on this part with his own equipment in his garage at his home. Dan was able to get a fan onto the new motor and installed it in a very timely manner to get the AC back up and running. I know the unit is old but when it's time to upgrade, I will be calling ECONO WEST without a doubt in my mind. She highly recommended this man. "He had installed her A/C . A wonderful man and worker. " #1, RED Flag; Original meeting with realtor , he gave me an estimate of $2,700.00. Through the next months I misplaced his number. I call the realtor and she gladly recommend him every time and gave me his number. Last June I was ready to finally have this work done. Machado came out to my house and remeasured at least four times in June and July 2020. #2, Red Flag: now his price was $5,700.00 I did my homework and had two other Air Conditioning Companies give me bids. Machado' s bid was lower and he was highly recommended! Right ? #3, RED FLAG , his contract doesn't have his name, address or most important his signature. #4, RED FLAG; I had my credit card pay him $5,000.00. He called me and told me he received check on July20th . He deposited check and received the money the 23rd of July, 2020. Even though he told me on the 20th that by law he could not cash check before he started job. I called , 7/24, to set a date for installation and Mr Machado informed me on this phone call "you're too difficult to work with, I can't work with you." #5, Red FLAG; he has given me every excuse why the money he has is not mine, I have at least 30 texts from this man why he can't return my money.
