They clearly read what I filled out in the intake and responded timely while being to the point. They were flexible with my work schedule and when they arrived they were extremely kind. It was a father and son duo with the heart of a genuine family owned business. Their pricing was competitive, they left my home spotless after, and he even mentioned other issues for us to look out for. I appreciated him not only pointing out the issues as a selling point but he even explained to my husband how he could DIY fix it himself. We chose to do business with them to resolve the issues instead. He also offered preventative care. Love this business and would highly recommend! read more

New homeowners, we had no idea what condition our fireplace was in. Thankfully we found American Chimney Sweep. Paul was pleasant and knowledgeable. He gave us a mini course in fireplaces, what type of wood to burn, and eased our worries about the condition of the fireplace and chimney. They truly take pride in their work, and it shows. I was so impressed by the thoroughness of the chimney inspection/cleaning, and by the friendly, knowledgeable service. This is my first fireplace and they taught me everything I need to know. Fantastic in every way! read more

Responsive, easy to schedule, on-time, and effective. Happy with my service and now my dryer dries effectively again!

Oh my goodness! Who knew my clothes were supposed to dry in one normal cycle instead of four or five extended cycles??? I'm being facetious, of course, but I truly was drying and re-drying my clothes for up to five, one-hour and 40 minute cycles on high heat. I figured it was either the dryer or the vents, and falsely thought it was something I could manage myself with my vaccuum cleaner and a few tools. Yes, I was able to remove some lint, but what little I accomplished was nothing compared to what American Chimney Sweep and Dryer Vent Cleaning was able to do! They arrived on time and ready to work on both my chimney and dryer vents. Now, I have lived in my home for seven years and hadn't had either of these services done before. Paul, mentioned that it looked like the dryer vents had probably never been cleaned and were pretty well blocked. They're all clear now, though, as I dried a full load in 45 minutes on medium heat! I'm so thankful! Also, they patched up a couple of small gaps in my fireplace and fully inspected it and the chimney. Paul also gave me great information and tips on using my fireplace and what my options are in terms of gas or wood-burning methods. I plan to call them again once the colder weather arrives so I can get my fireplace set up. Thanks so much American Chimney Sweep and Dryer Vent Cleaning! read more

Paul and his assistant kept us up to date on their arrival and did a great job. We had an education in where to build the fire in our box to work the best and also the right kind of wood to burn to keep it clean. (We need to stop burning the Christmas trees for fun, but I guess we already suspected that.) They also told us some minor repairs that we need to do to keep the chimney working well. Everything looks great! read more

I only write reviews for local small businesses that I use and trust. Paul, from American Chimney Sweep & Air is someone I trust enough to refer to family, friends and also my customers. In my business, we run into dryer vent lines that are clogged and cause dryers to take too long to dry which can lead to dryer fires. American Chimney Sweep & Air does an excellent job of cleaning out those clogged lines, no matter how difficult, for a great price. Paul believes in "Customer Service" and he's an honest man. For chimney cleaning and dryer vent line cleaning, I highly recommend this company. -Bob Meadows/B&D Appliance Service/Palmdale,CA read more

Found this company on yelp needing a service to repair the walls inside the fireplace. After receiving a few quotes, this company's approach was far more reasonable and more cost effective due to the fact that he wanted our future business for annual cleanings. This kind of approach lets me know that they are interested in forging relationships with their customers and not a one time gouge of their wallet. Work wears performed very quickly and the has the equipment to keep my living room clean. I am very pleased with their work and will highly recommend using them for your projects. read more

I just bought a home with a chimney and wanted to have it inspected and cleaned before lighting it up. I went to this company's website and sent a request for an appt. Paul called me back to schedule an appointment within a couple of days and explained the process to me over the phone. It seemed easy enough so I scheduled. He showed up on time with another worker and he cleaned and inspected the chimney, put mortar at the base of the wall where the gas pipe met it to seal any possible heat out of the wall and explained everything to me. He gave me tips on what kind of wood to burn and what to avoid, how to place wood properly in the fireplace, how to light it safely and just went over some fundamentals with me on safety. I have not had a fireplace in my home since I was a small child so these very basic tips and tricks were surprisingly helpful for me. I appreciated how thorough he was and that he took the time to explain everything to me that I needed to know. He wasn't pushy and didn't try to sell me anything extra. He just came out and did the work and now I can light my fireplace! I am super happy with this business and will absolutely use them again when it's time to clean the chimney. Highly recommend! read more

Paul (the owner) and Eric cleaned my chimneys, air ducts and dryer vent. They were incredibly easy to schedule. They gave me a two-hour appt window but also told me they would call 30 min out so I wouldn't have to wait around. They were friendly and professional. Paul explained absolutely everything he was doing and why. He looked in one of my chimneys and even told me that it didn't need to be cleaned (I wasn't sure if it had ever even been used) and that he would clean it if I really wanted him to, but better to just save the money. I needed a damper stop... he told me that he could install it for $35 or that he could tell me what part to get and I could buy it and install it myself for $15-$20... I just had him do it, but it was nice to have the option. He took additional time to explain the best usage for my fireplaces and even offered to come back for free to explain how to use them to my new tenants. It really is so rare to find someone who takes such good care of their customers and treats them like part of their business family... Paul is that guy. I would recommend him in a heartbeat! read more
