It was a very warm day (at least 100 degrees) and I wanted the fastest option because going without air conditioning in the Antelope Valley is not pleasant. I decided to have the aging system replaced entirely, and the team at Pennies got right to work. My HVAC unit was completely replaced by the end of the day. Everyone was professional and courteous. The lead technician on the installation was great at communication. The installation of this unit was much better than when we had the old unit installed ten years ago. The workmen were careful with my carpets, cleaned everything up when they were done, and did a great job installing the unit. Great service! When Matt showed up, he brought his own rug to wipe his feet on, and boot protectors! We were looking to add central air to our house where it was previously non-existent, and he was so thorough in explaining what the process would be, what was needed, what upgrades needed to be made to our existing infrastructure, everything. We weren't planning on saying yes to the quote today, but Matt made us feel so sure that it was what we needed and that they would help and support us, we said yes! They're even going to do the install next week (much quicker than we imagined). Their financing options were great and really helped seal the deal. We feel like we are getting a great value after going over everything with Matt. We will be working with these folks again for sure!

Very disappointed with my experience. I called because my shower handle broke and I needed a…read morerepair. I was charged $125 for the technician to come out, and no repair was completed. I was then quoted $765 to repair the shower. The technician himself told me the company is expensive but said they provide a warranty. I understand paying for quality work and a warranty, but $765 for this repair felt completely unreasonable to me. What made the experience worse is that another licensed plumbing company reviewed the same problem and quoted me $285, including the shower cartridge, removing the broken/stuck part, and fixing the handle. That is a difference of $480 for essentially the same repair. I also received an estimate totaling $688 for other plumbing work, including a shower/faucet cartridge and a toilet fill valve/supply line. After already paying $125 just for the service visit and having nothing repaired, I felt the overall pricing was excessive and unfair. I understand that companies can set their own prices, but customers should know what they may be getting into. In my experience, I paid $125, nothing was fixed, and I was left with a very high repair quote. I recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to the work.

Unfortunately, Joe speculated they probably didn't open the gas valve when they completed the work on my AC. Sure enough, it was exactly that but since my furnace is also in the attic, Justin had to move aside boxes that are stored up there to get to the gas valve to open it. In the process he offered to change my air filter and educated me on how often to change it and an easier way to do so. After the heater was up and running, Justin even returned all the storage boxes to their same spots. Appreciated Justin's professionalism and kindness. They were very friendly and helpful. We sent a couple pictures and they knew exactly what the situation was with our water heater. Soon after, they had a very reasonable quote for us and made an appointment to replace it. They were here right on time on Tuesday. A couple hours later we had a new water heater installed and a serious disaster averted! Thank you! Quick to respond- Professional-Efficient-Reasonable & Clean! We were not sure about the diagnosis so got another plumber to check and found the leak was in the attic the hot water manifold. I did not use faucetman for repair.
