For anyone who lives in or is familiar with the winds here in the High Desert be wary - this could happen to you! Apparently it was just a matter of time that it happened since it had never been properly fastened down when it was installed - so maybe those of you with fireplaces might want to consider having your system checked. Darryl and Don came out to check out the situation to see what needed to be done and were able to fix the issue without having to do a lot of extra work; like tearing out the drywall or removing the insert and replacing the whole thing. Once the part was obtained, Darryl, Don and a young man/assistant had it all fixed in about an hour; I think the prep took longer than the actual repair; checking things out, getting measurements and part numbers, finding the chase pipe and other parts needed. Darryl even made sure the chimney was covered just in case it rained. Highly recommend Chimney Chokers for their professionalism, courtesy, friendliness, fair prices and great work.

However, the experience went downhill quickly from there: * Reschedule #1: We moved the appointment to Friday at 11:00 AM. * Reschedule #2: On the day of, they requested to move the 11:00 AM slot to 2:00 PM. I agreed. * The No-Show: They failed to arrive at 2:00 PM and did not show up until 5:00 PM. This was not just a personal inconvenience; this was for an investment property with a tenant waiting. Because of this company's poor time management and lack of communication, I was forced to apologize repeatedly to my tenant for the delay. There is a fine line between a genuine emergency and simple laziness. Changing a time twice and then showing up three hours late for the second window is unacceptable in a professional setting.
