Tonight we tried the new Smasher Burgers at Sonic. Neither of us have been real smash-burger fans, but it's growing on us after tonight. Petunia got the double, but me, I got the triple. I definitely recommend the triple; the patties are super-thin and crispy - which is terrific on the burger, I just liked the extra meat. We ordered them like they came; cheese, onion, pickle, Smash sauce on a potato bun. With the crispy salty patties, creamy cheese and sauce, plus the crunchy pickles and pungent onions, this was a really nice flavor experience - kudos to Sonic for this one, I liked it as much as the garlic butter burger. - First-date tip: hold the onions! They were super delicious, but very strong flavored, and I wouldn't have even wanted to kiss myself after eating them. :) The Groovy Fries were, well, GROOVY. And not just the crinkle-cut, they were extra crispy, but not overcooked, and are going to be my new go-to as long as they last. Tots are king, but when these fries are visiting, I'm grabbing 'em. The Groovy sauce wasn't our favorite. Eh, it was creamy and a little spicy, but there was something in it I didn't care for. No big deal, of course, I keep some CFA sauce on hand for these kinds of emergencies. Finished up our order with a couple of giant drinks, mine with lime and cherry. I really enjoy squeezing the lime into what's left of the ice, then chewing it up with the cherry. It's like the dessert you didn't order! Speaking of ordering, we used the app tonight. Man, that was cool - placed the order from the warmth of our home while the car heated up, got in for the short ride to the store and checked in...seconds later we were on the way home with our hot food and the memory of a perfect smile from our lovely carhop. read more

I'm only putting a 4 star because of the great service we received from the carhop. Unfortunately, I didn't catch her name, but she was great. However, after asking if yall were busy (we had a pretty long wait time for our food), I was stunned to find out that she was the only person taking out food, and that the manager had just up and left. I feel so bad for that poor girl, and I hope she can find a better job. Treat your workers right, they're the backbone of your entire store. Other than this, service was great. read more

MAJOR shoutout to carhop Kathan (i believe), as she was the only one running food to a FULL lot after their manager had up and left. hearing something like that as someone who works at another sonic location is absolutely atrocious, and i cannot even begin to imagine how overwhelmed that carhop mus thave felt. absolutely SHAME ON YOU to whichever manager left her in that position. even with a full lot, people yelling and being rude, and being physically out of breath, she still had a great attitude and helped us to the best of her ability. hopefully she will find a better workplace that rewards her for her incredible work ethic. if i had my wallet with me i would have tipped her $100. read more

The order is never right and when asked to add mayonnaise to something they bring you packets instead of putting it on the food while preparing it! The service was nice until asked to bring out something that was ordered but didn't receive and then the attitude changed to snotty. All we asked for was onions and they took their time bringing that out. The bun was hard on one side! Another fast food review. I try and only comment if something is out of the ordinary (good or bad). On the Northshore we are lucky when it comes to Sonic. We have several locations, and all have great staffs and deliver high quality food. This is one of those locations. The staff is very friendly and promptly brings your food to your car. I have never had a missing item and my food is always great. read more

This location always provides fast service. I usually hit this location just before lunch and have never found it to be too crowded. Lots of parking bays to pull in and place your order. There's also a few outside dining tables if the weather is nice and you want to stretch your legs. Service is better than what you usually encounter at those other fast food places. Most of the carhops wear skates and it's fun to watch some of them try to balance things while whizzing around the area. The dollar menu offers a few items that are good value. The Jr. Friotos Chili Cheese Wrap is a good appetizer to go along with your meal. The full menu is served all day long. So if you pull in at 9pm and want a Breakfast Toaster, you can get it. So to wrap things up, good food, decent prices, great service and a convenient location. read more

This sonic has NEVER gotten an order right. Tonight, we ordered 3 cheeseburgers: 2 with ketchup and 1 with ketchup, mayo, mustard. We received 2 mayo mustard ketchup burgers and 1 mayo. They were also cold (which is honestly nothing new for this location.). We also had a slush which was just cold. No slush involved. read more

I do like Sonic but when there is so many better sit down places in the area like this one, its fades a bit for me. Having said that, if im out in the area its usually for work, so that means I have skipped lunch and im filthy dirty. Too nasty to walk in somewhere. Thats where these guys and gals fill the need. Well I had lunch today at Sonic. I was surprised at how amazingly fast I received my order. After further examination I learned how it had gotten to me so quickly. The hamburger patty looked like it was left over from the lunch rush and had been sitting on the grill for a time. The onion ring on the burger was burnt. Other than that it wasn't bad. I've always liked the chili cheese fries and got an order of those. I was shocked when I opened the bag and found about 12 fries with a bit of chili covering them. With the prices that Sonic charges they could at least give you a decent size portion. Then to top that off I was charged $0.20 for a cup of water! I spent almost $7 on a burger and 12 fries and they want to charge me for water? lol I managed a Sonic years ago and we didn't charge for water. Not sure what the deal is. The food is pretty typical of Sonic. It's fast food so don't expect a 5 star meal, but the service here has always been pretty good. The car hops are usually pretty friendly. Speed of service as always depends on time of day. read more

I don't know why I keep returning here. The service is slow and they never are ready to open. Just placed an order and was told that it would be twenty minutes to prepare because the kitchen wasn't ready to prepare it and things had to heat up. So get in and get the kitchen ready.
