How good is the food at El Paso? This good.
Robby M.

Just kidding. About the Spanish, not the food; the food was fabulous. The salsa has a fruity taste to it that is both different and delicious without taking away from the salsa experience. You also receive black bean dip on the house; yep, good, too. The dip had a great texture and a full, rich taste. Cheese enchiladas, anyone? You have to try these. The cheese was smooth and creamy, and the red sauce had that same fruity undertone. Very authentic, yet that little hint of citrus sent them over the top. I tried the taco trio, three of your choice on flour or corn tortillas and sent to the table with cilantro, lime, onions and a spicy, green salsa. Carne asada, al pastor, and barbacoa. The carne asada was far and away the best of the three. Seriously delicious, with a smoky flavor that stood up very well to the veggies and herbs. Shared a cup of the chicken tortilla soup. It's a tangy, broth-y style soup that really warms you up, and it's thick enough to be a hearty meal, too. The meal was finished up with a shared flan. Not too sweet, the flavor was wonderful. The texture was less smooth than I usually like, but I will order this again. The atmosphere is terrific; this used to be a Macaroni Grill and the brick finish turns the south of the border decor into something special. Kudos to our servers; we got there only a short time before closing, but they were gracious, helpful, and encouraged us to take our time. We'll definitely be back here! Update to my review: the last couple of times we've been here, Christian has been our server and he is top notch: Always remembers how I like my meal, takes care to bring me the special spicy sauce from the back of the house, and does a terrific job keeping the kids supplied with chips. I hope I can get back again this week!

I go here a lot since I work right next door. The service is always great, some truly nice people here. The food is yummy and relatively cheap. Happy hour is until 7 pm and the House margaritas are strong. They have a variety of à la carte options and meals. When the weather is nice I like to sit outside. They also frequently have live music if that's your sort of thing. My most ordered item is the shredded chicken quesadilla. So delicious! I also love the Nachos Locos, but I can only share this with others because it's too large! Shrimp, steak, chicken and queso!

Everything is sooooo good. Cant believe I'm just finding out about it. Definitely ask for the "flour" chips. Very yummy upgrade. & fresh fruit in the margaritas

a margarita and tortillas

Had a big family dinner and the food was fabulous all the way around. The service was excellent. Delicious queso and bean dip as well. Flautas, tamales and tacos were enjoyed as well! The pineapple jalapeño margarita is definitely a winner but just be careful if you order the large!! And did I mention the Churros!

Quesadilla, Taco, & Cheese Enchilada

This is your standard, run of the mill style Mexican food. The place is big and has a full-service bar as well as a large dining room. The bar has plenty of TVs so good for having a drink and socializing or just watching a game. The staff is friendly and courteous, even though some of them don't speak fluent English, they do try their best to provide a comfortable experience. Overall the food is mediocre especially for a chain with as many locations as they have. Although I love Mexican food my favorite part of any Mexican meal is a delicious margarita. We started the meal with a small regular margarita on the rocks and a small strawberry margarita on the rocks, both drinks were well made and tasted pretty good and the price is fair. I had a chicken quesadilla, soft beef taco, and cheese enchilada and my wife had a cheese enchilada and a hard chicken taco, a pretty simple meal so you would expect it to be pretty easy to get right. Unfortunately not only did the meal lack much flavor but felt like something you might find in a school cafeteria. The chicken was very moist but didn't have much flavor, the cheese enchiladas were filled with what looked and tasted like queso sauce and were covered with a very plain red sauce. The soft beef taco had some flavor but was a little dry and could have used a little more seasoning, probably the best of the three items but that's not really saying much. While the drinks were good the food leaves a lot to be desired and left both me and my wife disappointed.

And then there was one. Lol

From the moment we walked in they treated us like we were their only customers. It was just my son and myself. The food was the best we had had in a very long time. We will most definitely make it a regular spot.

This was my first time at this location and everything was wonderful! The chips & salsa & bean dip are all perfect. My fajitas were excellent, and my family members loved their enchiladas. I don't think we had any leftovers! Service & atmosphere also get an A+!

Last few visits to this place the service has gone down and down, and the food as well. Poor service and blah food... we are done.

This is your typical chain Mexican restaurant. The food is average at best and the thing I hate most is white queso.

average Mexican food. Pricy for what you get but it was conveniently located close to the mall we were shopping in and we were very hungry.

However, the food fell incredibly flat. The taco styles err on the side of traditional offerings, but did not taste anything like I would imagine them to taste. The carne asada was bland and the chicken wings were Smokey, but lacked salt so difficult to taste. The rice and beans were the best thing on the table. The chimmichurri was the most disappointing by far, tasting almost like it had mayo in it. The other thing that was odd to me is that apart from their house made hot sauce (which is more like a veg blend) they did not offer any house made salsa verdes/picantes or topping for the tacos. For $12-$15, a plate with two tacos is steep, considering there are no sides of accompaniments. I will however say that the food was incredibly fresh and of good quality. The tortillas were excellent, however fell apart due to the moisture and weight of the toppings. Maybe doubling them would improve the product. Service was also excellent. Good came out quickly and the cashier and cooks were amazing at answering our questions and offering suggestions. The place was nearly full, so that says something about their following. I really miss the previous Venezuelan restaurant that was here before. Their food was top notch!

First time dining at this restaurant. It had begun raining shortly before we dined in. After…read moreplacing an order, I realized the front entrance of the parking lot began to hold a large amount of water. So I had to move my vehicle. The hostess said the parking lot was recently re-done. Be mindful of parking by entrance if it's storming. I tried the sangria, house margarita and then a more expensive margarita with better tequila. The sangria wasn't worth the price I paid. The sangria tasted like a red blend wine that was somewhat watered down with an orange slice thrown in. The house margarita was awful. The house margarita tasted like a premixed margarita mix from Walmart with the cheapest shot of tequila thrown in. The more expensive margarita was decent, but not worth the high price. Be mindful when ordering the alcoholic drinks, the prices on the physical menu are for the small sizes. For instance I believe the George's Especial Margarita was $12.50 on menu, however I got a large and I believe receipt said $22.50. The menus you find online are incorrect relative to the prices. The physical menus in the restaurant, the prices have increased by $1-$3 on food and drinks. The restaurant charges what appeared to be 4% credit card surcharge. The food was decent tasting however it seems the portion sizes are small. I got the carne asada and the meat was barely enough for 2 flour tortillas. Your first order you get $5 off, and then if you do the rewards program, eventually you get free food. The service and waitresses were wonderful, however overall this restaurant is a 3 Star max. I will not be returning. There are better options for Mexican food nearby.
