The "Texas toast" I was given...
    Cianah H.

This location used to be so wonderful, but now not so much... When we first got there, we were having issues with ordering our food on the app (I know it's not this locations fault) so we just decided to push the button and order while parked. Literally 10 minutes go by after pushing the button and we hear nothing. Then finally a woman comes on and tells us that the parking delivery is now closed, but we can go through the drive thru. 45 minutes later, we finally order our food and the woman taking our order was extremely nice. They guy at the window handing our food, not so much. Now for me this was the final straw: I finally get my food and realized I was missing my Texas toast. I got it as one of my sides for my meal. We go back to the window to tell them that It's not included, and then they bring out a toasted burger bottom bun. I wish I was joking but I'm not. When they gave me that they told me it's because they're out of Texas toast and that's why it wasn't included in the first place. 1.) why didn't you tell me that when we were ordering or when you gave me my food that there was no more Texas toast??!! 2.) if you're out of it, you couldn't have just asked me if I wanted another side instead??! 3.) the "Texas toast" the gave me wasn't even buttered or seasoned. I probably wouldn't have given them such a negative review if that didn't happen, because the other food I ordered and milkshake were good. But it's clear that there's a huge lack of communication at this location which makes this place fail in my book.

The line was extremely quick. Got my drink within 5 minutes of being there. , food was decent, and averagely priced. Service was polite.

Not closed! Great customer service. Easy to order. Food is so so. Our fav is chili cheese tater tots.

Some ketchup would have been nice on this mustard burger

Nothing wrong here. Juicy n delicious! Except today. No ketchup on my burger but lots of mustard! This place lol.

Kids cheeseburger. Without a hamburger patty

Okay this spot is definitely not closed, however, I wouldn't bother coming back to this establishment. Ordered my kid a cheeseburger from the kids menu and received a bun with cheese, pickles, and mustard only? Make that make sense.

I read the reviews for Lancaster Brewing (near a farm, cow, covered bridge, they serve pretzels, horse & buggys are nearby). When I saw that there was a bartender named Boots, I knew we had to visit. Hubby had already read about Lancaster Brewing and we were happy to visit. You can't tour the actual brewery anymore but the manger and bartenders are great about discussing the brewing process and styles. There were some interesting seasonal beers. We could have moved to a table but we enjoyed chatting with Boots. He is easy going and quite knowledgeable about everything on tap. The menu has sandwiches, pizza and pub food. My only wish is that they include fried pickles. The place is fun. The retail items are limited but you can buy a six pack for about $13 that you mix and match yourself. Growlers are also available. The place closes at 9pm, so plan accordingly if going at night.

Their stouts are indulgent and well-executed; the Fresh Roasted Peanut Butter Ale is a fun, off-beat twist that's worth a try at least once; and the food (especially the crab dip and spicy wing option with Creepin' Dog Hot Sauce) rounds it all out so the experience doesn't feel like "just beer." If I were you and planning a visit, I'd start with a flight including the Double Chocolate Milk Stout + Fresh Roasted Peanut Butter Ale, grab the crab dip and maybe some wings with Creepin' Dog sauce -- that combo sums up everything great about what Lancaster does right.

I stopped by here yesterday with my family for dinner. We had ridden the Strasburg Railroad earlier…read morein the day and were looking for a place to eat when I fired up Yelp and found the Tavern by Spring House Brewing. It is located on East Main Street in downtown Strasburg. The inside consists of a large main room with an L shaped bar, a number of TVs, and then a second dining room off to the side. Since no one was seated in the second room and we had twin four year olds with us, we chose that space. Unfortunately the TV in that room was broken, so we were not able to watch the Steelers game that was on. Aside from that, the room itself had a cozy and slightly eclectic feel. There was a decorated Christmas tree lit up in the corner near the staircase which gave the space a warm seasonal vibe. The walls were decorated with brewery signs and beer themed banners, and a bright yellow decorative mantel stood out against the darker wall colors. Overall it felt casual and welcoming and worked well for a family dinner. For dinner on this evening I went with the Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak while my wife chose the K Town Mac Bowl. The menu described my wife's dish as three cheese cavatappi pasta with smoked pork slaw, Korean BBQ drizzle, sesame seeds, and scallions. My sandwich was described as smoked chicken, American cheese, buffalo sauce, gorgonzola, onion frizzles, ranch drizzle, and a hoagie roll. I thought my sandwich ended up being good, especially since it was chock full of chicken. The hoagie roll was toasted and buttered nicely and added a good crunch, which the onion frizzles helped reinforce. The gorgonzola added a nice pungent pop of flavor. While I did get some buffalo flavor, I definitely could have used more. Because of that, the sandwich was a little on the drier side despite having cheese, buffalo sauce, and ranch drizzle. My fries were seasoned and had a nice texture, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. As I often do whenever I visit a new brewery, I decided to go with a flight here. At Spring House Brewing, a flight consists of four beers and I chose the Cucumber Salamander, Backroads Shadows, Daily Planet, and Love and Rockets. The Love and Rockets ended up getting mixed up and I was instead served Grease the Poles. I started with the Cucumber Salamander, which is a sour. It was a bit tart right from the start and that carried through to the finish, with a little extra pucker at the end. Up next was Backroads Shadows, a lager with a crisp, clean start before the malts came through on the finish. This felt like a really good easy drinking beer. Third was Daily Planet, an IPA that had citrus up front followed by a solid hop presence that carried through the finish. Last was Grease the Poles, a pale lager that started off very clean before finishing with some lighter hop notes. Out of the bunch, the Cucumber Salamander was definitely my favorite. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Our food and drinks were good, and I would be interested in trying more of their beers.

Looked like there was only 2 servers for the entire place which was busy. My husband liked his chili, so that's the two star review. He said it had a lot of flavor. I had the brisket sandwich which was very small for the price with not a lot of meat. The meat had no flavor at all. Was not served with the au ju, which I had to ask for. Unfortunately, the au ju did not make it any better. The Cole slaw had a good flavor and was not sweet, so that was the best part of the food.

But awesome all the same! For how busy they were, the server was very attentive and very accommodating as we were yapping away and constantly not ready with our orders so kuddos for the team and putting up with us! I love the mystery beer concept, its not great beer, but being from DC at like $2 a can, I am not passing that up, ever. And a cheap beer with a burger is the perfect combo! On to the burger... I have heard that this is a great burger... and I have to conclude that I agree though it is reminiscent of a Big Mac - just way better ingredients - it has to be the sauce they put on it... Anyway, nice size patty, good amount of toppings and a quality bun (not too soft, not too thick, bread soaks up some of the juices but doesn't fall apart). The mussels were quite excellent as well. It was a Thai curry broth the night we were there and it was drinkable, like soup... we did ask for extra bread... enough said. I am going to take a minute too and praise their spirit free cocktails. THIS IS HOW THEY SHOULD BE MADE. They used bitters, tonics, etc to craft something that tasted like a cocktail but without alcohol which means they were not sickly sugary concoctions, but expertly crafted beverages. Just really great options. All that said though, their espresso martini was one of the worst I have had. Just skip that.
