I wasn't impressed with the cheese steak. It was cold when we picked it up at the correct time given when we placed the order. It barely had any cheese on it and couldn't even taste it. The bread wasn't my favorite type since it was soft and doughy compared to a Philly hard roll. The steak was chipped too small and there was not a lot stuffed in the roll. I went in the wrong door and was immediately screamed at by the man making the food. There was no "Mam sorry you need to use the other entrance" NO instead he yelled at me, So i went in the other door told the person at the counter what happened, she stared at me like she didnt hear me or didn't care , so repeated what i said, and she said "oh sorry" i was looking through the menu, when i realized no way is this acceptable, i am not going to spend 40 dollars at a place that is so disrespectful that they yell at paying customers for using the wrong door ( It was accidental) I hope it was worth it to them to lose 40 or more dollars worth of business. I've been to an event catered by this place and the Italian food was really tasty. However, when I went in to eat with my son, my wrap was pretty awful. The chicken was lacking and the lettuce was slimy, hot and wilted. I can't stand when chicken wraps are heated and the veggies get all nasty. The pizza slice was giant and very tasty. They also put olives on their Caesar salads which offends me. I must say that the girls working there were amazing! So friendly and accommodating and extra nice to my 5 year old son. We've steadily ordered from JD's for at least the past two years. It used to be very good, always perfect food, exactly what was ordered and polite people who answered the phone. The past three times we've ordered, something is always wrong with the order. Wrong sandwiches, missing items, ... attitude from whoever answers the phone now. I'm looking at the menu- saying I want to order a kids alfredo "we don't have that" ... really because I'm looking at it right now on the menu? Had to re-word it to KIDS SPAGHETTI WITH ALFREDO SAUCE. ...in the same order, come home and unwrap a sandwich we didn't order. I was so disappointed. I so wanted this to be a perfect hoagie place as it is less that 1.5 miles from my house. I grew up in South Jersey so I know good hoagies. First is the bread, and the bread was great. Also I should state that it was made in 5 minutes which was great. The problems that I had are twofold. First the ingredients seemed to be similar to the ingredients that you get with a "pay $2.50 for a charity hoagie" Secondly, as you can see by the attached picture there was so much oil that I had to keep washing my hands...it was a crazy amount. I didn't find any Yelp reviews so I went to plan B, with is a Google review search. Whoever has been posting reviews for this place there either are friends of the owner or don't get out much. I was trapped in the Hampton Inn and trusted the reviews here, so I ordered a pizza and a 2 liter of Diet Coke delivered. They brought a regular Coke, and when I said that I didn't want it they ran my charge card for the total including the Coke. When I pointed it out the driver said "Well, weren't you going to tip? Why not just tip $3?". Now, I just might have tipped more, or perhaps less, but how about you just get the order right? The pizza crust was cooked half well and half over done, and the sauce was way too sweet for my taste. I know that tastes are subjective, but considering that I like pizza most everywhere, this was'nt a good sign. I don't know where else to suggest, but if you are in a local who is a fan of this pizza, I would take a pass. Revised: It's two days later and either the owner or manager saw my review and through a search of their delivery records tracked me down and gave me a call. After asking me Ye recap my experience he apologized and said the service and quality that I experienced was not the norm, and offered to replace my order on my next visit to the area. Placed an order for a large pizza with two topping, and a Turkey sub for pick up. Was given the total and call was ended. My total was over $37. I felt I was being overcharge so I called them back with in less then 2 minutes. When I questioned the price I was put on hold. Then I was told the pizza was $16.75 and for each topping it was an. Extra $4 each. On the menu and website the cost was advertised as $2.50 per topping. So I told them I wanted to cancel my order as that was more then I was willing to pay for a pizza. I then received a call back from the pizza shop tell me that I should have canceled my order when I was given the total on the original call. The person who called was rude and was trying to reprimand me like I was a child. Not good customer service for their business. They will never receive my business again. This is definitely the best pizza in the Ephrata/Akron area. I wasn't a huge fan of the stromboli, but the pizza is great.

Most things are decent but overall pricey. For the quality of pizza you get, you are better off going to a chain like Pizza Hut or Dominos. The sandwiches are okay depending what you get, the best luck I have had is their chicken cheese steak. The only complaint was that it was somewhat dry even with the sauce so I recommend ordering extra sauce. Some of the delivery staff don't know their head from their butt though, and getting change on a cash order can be difficult. read more

They were kind and informed me that this restaurant was their sons and would deliver to my address. The food while not exactly the same was good.
