We saw a reel about this bomber pizza on Instagram and tucked it away in our brains for the next time we were in the Lancaster area (we live in Pittsburgh) The restaurant itself is fairly rundown and old, but it seemed to be a popular place (more especially for college students). It is counter service with a variety of prepared foods ready to go for a slice or a pasta dish. We got the Lancaster bomber pizza which is half pizza and half Philly cheesesteak. The pizza side is pepperoni and sausage and the Stromboli side is steak and cheese. While it was a fun concept to try, it wasn't "knock your socks off good" haha! But for sure unique. We tried to go to Cabalar for dinner at 5:20 on a Sunday but they said 45 min wait for the food. We didn't have that kind of time, had to be elsewhere by 6:15. So we ended up at Rosa Rosa. We asked how long it would take for wrap and a slice. 5-10 mins tops so we ordered and ate here. The team is working hard in the kitchen. Lots of take out orders, customers dining in. We got 2 slices which came out very fast! My grilled buffalo chicken wrap came out a little later. Filled with big chunks of moist and flavorful chicken, onions, lettuce and tomatoes. I would have loved to try the Bomber pizza but we were running out of time and there were just 2 of us. We would have had so much food leftover. After learning about the vitality of this menu option in mid-2024, we told ourselves we'd come check it out the next time we were driving through Lancaster. We were traveling back through the area in mid-2025 and made it happen! The restaurant isn't terribly remarkable, though they do have some nice murals painted on the walls inside. It's counter service with some prepared pizzas that can be ordered by the slice. Otherwise you place orders and seat yourselves. Feels like a little bit of a dive, and I think I'd probably take a pizza to go next time, but for our purposes, eating in was the better option. The bomber comes in different configurations, but we got the "Lancaster" which comes with cheesesteak and a pepperoni and sausage pizza. The pie was ready in about ten minutes and was made to order so it came out piping hot. It was very easy to share and we had leftovers for dinner later that evening. Portions were generous, the marinara dipping sauce was great, and cheesesteak was thinly shaved and plentiful. I'd definitely get it again, but take it to go. read more

Went with a friend for lunch. We had the "Lancaster" -- half pizza and half Stromboli. The pizza had sausage and pepperoni, the stromboli was Philly cheesesteak inside. The pizza was good, but the stromboli was THE BEST I have ever had in my life. The dough was tasty and not too chewy or hard like many places. Very intriguing menu! I will definitely be back to try other things. Parking is tight and limited. There is a drive thru window for pickups. There is a cute little Italian shop of foods from Italy. We got the pizza and Stromboli combination and it was good, but would order regular pizza and Stromboli separately next time just because the pizza slices were so weird. We came here on a Saturday and for lunch and it was pretty busy with some teams. It was a pretty loud environment. Really, I don't have much to say that is positive except that the food was edible. We ordered a chef salad and a medium Tuscan pizza. The chef salad was nothing special... some barely fresh iceburg lettuce and some turkey and ham rolls. Also... pickles? Strange. Anyways, the pizza was not great. It didn't have red sauce, which I think should be stated on the menu. It also managed to be dry and yet greasy at the same time. That was pretty special. Really great family owned Italian food restaurant. This place burned down from the wood fired over at one point, but the family rise like a phoenix from the ashes to rebuild their legacy. The pizza is awesome! We had wood fired thin crust, but they have thick crust as well as many other Italian family recipe favorites! The spaghetti pizza's a crowd favorite that is a carb load, but special to Rosa a Rosa. We also had the Gelato that is imported directly from Italy. It's amazing, and I had the tiramisu. I had low expectations based on the photos of just pizza on Yelp, but I was happily surprised and would absolutely recommend this place! To start, the food was not overly seasoned and overly salted. They also had the best honey mustard, which is always a winner in my box. The lasagna was cheesy and the sauce was delicious. The chicken salad had the right amount of chicken and romaine lettuce, and some tomatoes and green peppers. It probably could have done with less onions. Chicken fingers were not overly battered and fried. The red pepper and spinach pizza was delicious. The pizza dough was soft and chewy. When I was a little kid, my grandma used to take me here. Now she lost her vision and is homebound. I go to kind of relive nice moments with my grandma, who is not going to be around for long. The past few times I have gone, the male employees behind the counter, including one named Calvin, two very young ones, and an extremely unprofessional manager, would mock me after taking my order while making my food. They did this in Spanish, assuming I would not understand what they were saying (although I very well did). It made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, although I was in the establishment paying for very mediocre food and had been since I was eight years old. They would stand in a circle and make comments about me and cackle like hyenas, and then hand me my food expecting me to put money in their tip jar. Unless you have very thick skin and are fine being evaluated physically by the staff from behind the counter when you walk in, do not go. This makes me very sad, because this place has a deep connection to my family, but it is not the same since it burned down. The one worker Brandon, though, is lovely and seems to care very much about being kind to customers. All in all, the pizza is bad and the service is upsetting. read more

Well, the spaghetti pizza was good, a bit small for a large one but not complaining because there was more than enough. I am not a fan so I got the cheese slices for me. Thus, my two star rating is for the plain cheese pizza slices. The slices were horrible, I suspect it was two slices left from lunchtime. Actually, I could not even eat them. Grand Re-Opening this weekend!! Hours are 5-10 p.m. for now. I'll take it!! This place has been closed for two years and they're finally back! A true neighborhood establishment. Renovations were much needed and now the space is updated, has better flow for ordering and looks beautiful. During the closure, the liquor license was sold and now is BYO. The pizza here may not be the most mind-blowing in the world, but every college needs an affordable alternative to boring cafeteria food or a place to get food if one gets hungry (or hungover) after cafeteria hours, and My Place Pizza serves that purpose perfectly. I haven't personally tried it because it's too much carbs in one sitting for me, but I hear very good things about it from people who have eaten it and continue to get it regularly. This is without a doubt the best pizza in Lancaster County. I understand everyone is pretty much partial to the pizza of their childhood - and I suppose I'm no different. This place was and is my "local". Sure the decor may have changed - but they now offer 3 places to order instead of 1. The lighting is brighter, the new brick oven is gorgeous, there are more places to sit - but the classics have not changed a bit. Believe me, I was worried/skeptical walking in with a 6-pack of Peroni and my friends and family in tow. Awful awful awful. My children raved about this place because they get the spaghetti pizza, so I thought I'd try it. I ordered a mushroom pie. First of all, they didn't know what a pie was. Are you kidding me? The crust was crunchy and thin - couldn't be folded without cracking it first. The sauce tasted like ketchup. The mushrooms were yellow, canned, and were hardly there.
