I did enjoy a burger special, the Patty Melt. Gail, our server, was personable, accommodating, and delightful. We also had the opportunity to speak with the charming owner, Gina, who shared the history of Lickity Split, which began with their ice cream truck. The dessert menu included dairy-free and sugar-free ice creams. If you are shopping in Lancaster County, you must dine at the quaint old-fashioned Lickity Split. You won't regret the food or service.

The inside of the restaurant is somewhat narrow, but long. They have a variety of seating available and I was put in a comfy booth towards the front. Both the employee working at the host stand and my server were very friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be working there. My server said she had been there since she was 15 years old and seemed to have good report with the regulars. I ordered a small spring house salad with the dressing on the side and the cheesesteak stuffed pretzel. The stuffed pretzel was greasy and amazing in all of the ways a good Amish pretzel is. It had the right amount of salty and sweet and the cheesesteak filling was hot and gooey. The pickle and chips on the side added a nice crunch. The salad was fresh and loaded with toppings. I wished I had room for ice cream because all of the flavors in the case next to where I was seated sounded delicious, but I was too full. I asked for a rice krispie to go and it didn't let me down. It had a nice vanilla flavor and that fresh marshmallow-y pull in each bite. Prices were more than fair for the quality. The bathroom is outside in a separate building, but was also easy to locate and clean. I will be back to try some ice cream!

A lot to see and do with the kids and overall a great family friendly atmosphere that's safe and has a little something for everyone , young and old . They have the coolest market with a lot of local produce, baked goods, jams, and fruit butters. A bulk candy section and fair prices. The model toy train is so cute and is a bonus for kids of all ages to watch. It goes around the track at the top of the store and also runs through a track in their sit down restaurant. I will say we decided to eat dinner there and we had the salad bar, and sandwiches. Salad bar had fresh options and delicious soups that tasted homemade. My only disappointment was, Sadly, the eggs in the sandwiches we ordered tasted premade and reheated, not made to order scrambled eggs and they tasted like they could have been powdered? Overall though, it was a nice time. The restaurant is also family friendly and accessible for those with disabilities that may require a wheelchair. The staff seemed friendly and our service was very good. Not a long wait time. Overall it's a wonderful establishment and the market is incredibly loaded to the rafters with goodies sure to please everyone. The Ice cream for dessert was delicious too. I would recommend Oregon Dairy. Not just for the great market and gift shop, but it's a cool place to bring the kids with an outdoor playground area and different seasonal activities.

We were recently in the area for our son's wedding. I desperately wanted to find a place that made…read moregood dried beef gravy over toast, a Pennsylvania Dutch tradition. We saw this diner and dedicated to stop. I had my doubts judging a book by its cover, so I opened up Facebook to check reviews. The general consensus was that the food is good, but the service needed work. So, considering I can't eat service but I can eat good food, we went in. The first lady to greet us did so with a big smile. She was friendly, helpful and kind. Our waitress, Jess, followed soon after. She too came with a smile and a greeting and she listened closely while my wife detailed her food allergies. She was genuinely concerned that my wife would be able to safely eat her meal and took detailed observation of her needs. Me? I got what I was looking for. I found my dried beef gravy over toast and enjoyed that with a side of hashbrowns and sausage links. The sausage was an up charge, but that was fine. It was good and a healthy serving. Sausage was not too spicy but not bland either. The dried beef gravy was a little thicker than I am used to, but it had good flavor, such as I enjoy. Orange juice was actually sweet. It wasn't that sour diner stuff you usually get at such places. Jess came back to our table frequently and made sure we were well taken care of. She was very outgoing and we talked for a little. She celebrated with us about our son's wedding and congratulated us. The meal was good. The service was good. I came close to a four star review over cleanliness. This is clearly an old diner and the floors were stained and a bit greasy. I believe they were probably mopped, but they should probably be stripped and cleaned professionally. The floor was pretty grimy. Not filthy with food, just greasy. Maybe it's a diner thing. The tables were well stocked with a wide range of everything from creamers and sugar to condiments. The booths were roomy and accommodated my size. The bathrooms were barely acceptable. I know people can make a mess of a bathroom, so I always try to grade on a curve, but the men's room was pretty dirty. The mirror was covered in hard water stains, the trash can was overflowing and the floor was dirty. I spared my reader a picture of the urinal, but it was pretty bad. I almost bumped it down a star for bathrooms. The windows in the diner also appear to be water damaged, giving it a worn out look from inside. Not material to the food or service though. Parking is ample. ADA spots are available. Overall I'd say quality of food was five. Service was five. Cleanliness was four stars. If you're looking for something nice, this isn't it. If you're looking for nostalgia or grandma's cooking, this probably isn't it. If you're looking for a place to grab a decent bite to eat and run, it is a solid contender any day.
