I've been here a year ago. They upgraded their menu look and the place. I had the tuna steak tacos which was over cooked, but the flavor was still very good. The Pina colada was good and just the right amount of liquor. My husband had the Mole chicken enchiladas. He said it was a 6/10. The chicken was a bit dry and the tortilla was dry. Don't ever go there on Cinco de Mayo! The service was atrocious. We waited at the bar for over 30 minutes for our drink order (and gave up). Have no idea how the food tastes except for the chips and salsa. The salsa was good - spicy. The chips were lame. We paid for a beer by leaving the money on the counter. A nice local gem. One you could easily miss but because of local fan fare got to try this for the first time. Very delicious. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. There isn't a lot parking but for it being a tiny place there was a decent amount of seating and easy to get through. For appetizers we tried the guacamole salsa and chips plus the street corn. Both were dynamite in my opinion some of the best I ever had. Our main course was the chicken quesadilla and the carnitas. Again delicious. I was mostly stuffed from the appetizers. This place has been recommended over and over again on a FB group I'm in. Inside the restaurant is a small market with beverages, condiments, dried peppers, etc. and a case of homemade sweet breads. I didn't try any on this visit, but will on my next. The sweetness filled the air and they looked delightful. The desserts in the case are also homemade. People say the flan and tres leche cake are the best in town. The staff was very friendly and hearty portions for the cost. Both the flautas and chimichanga were stuffed with shredded chicken - so moist, so flavorful. Being from Texas gives credibility to rate a Mexican restaurant. This one rates! Don't let the small size fool you, this place rocks! The moment you step in the door you feel welcomed and the fun atmosphere, the incredible waitstaff, and the delicious food combine for a wonderful dining experience. Me and my fiancé decided to come here after a trip to Park City Mall, and the food was absolutely delicious, we were not expecting it to be as good as it was and the Waitress was super polite and our food came out very quick, its a small place but actually quite nice inside and the bathrooms were probably the cleanest I've ever seen in a restaurant, and the neon signs all over the walls were super cool, definitely recommend stopping at this place if you're ever in the area!! read more

I am delivery driver for an app. On Saturday Feb 22 2025 I walked in and was told they were working on my order. So I said it and waited patiently. About 15 mins go by someone else comes up and says their tablet isn't working and they never got the order and wanted to know the order. There aren't prices on the beer and liquor menu. My friends both ordered 21 oz margaritas. When the bill came they found out the price...$35.00 a piece!!! WTF is that? The rest a bit pricey for what you get. It's honestly pretty average food. Anyway, the little plastic container of hot sauce is 2.50, the small side of beans and rice is 7.50, the soda is 3.00. The waiter was nice but he should mention the liquor prices. Also don't get take out here, it's 16.50 for a six pack of basic Mexican beer. The meal for 4 people was $200.00 and it wasn't much, and wasn't that good. This place is a huge disappointment. I hope it turns into a parking lot. read more

I've tried many Mexican restaurants in Lancaster and they're pretty much all good but the food is so much more authentic,fresh and flavorful from the rest. My husband and I stopped in after seeing many recommend Tequila Mexican Grill on Facebook. It is a small, cozy restaurant with the Mexican flair that makes one feel as if they are in Mexico. I ordered their enchiladas suizas and my husband ordered the barbacoa tacos. Let me say, if you love real homemade refried beans theirs are the absolute best I've had around. The enchiladas were excellent, their verde sauce was delicious and not too spicy. I was expecting the enchiladas to have more cream to them, but the enchiladas were filled with delicious shredded chicken and topped with a Swiss cheese and the verde. My husband loved his barbacoa tacos as well. It came with a dip. The tortillas are freshly made. The tacos come with two tortillas per taco and melted cheese in between. It made it perfect for dipping so your single shell doesn't fall apart. We did see a family order their shrimp tacos, and boy did they look fantastic. We will definitely be back to try them and many other items on their menu. The waitress was very kind, and the service was great! We will definitely be back! Wow! When a friend mentioned that Tequila had the best Mexican food for miles around, we decided to try it. Am I ever glad we did. We had reservations for 7:15, and when we got there it was completely full. We got a friendly greeting, were seated right away, and had a very friendly and professional waitress; she knew just when to leave us alone and when to be available; last minute changes to our orders were no problem. We had Margaritas and the horchata, all good, but then the food, ah, the food. Friends had carnitas, chicken tacos, tacos al pastor, and all were declared delicious. I had the special barbecue beef tacos, and was in heaven! For each one, there were two super crispy, thin tortillas with melted cheese between them; they were filled with LOTS of delicious perfectly spiced meat, lettuce, tomato, onions, and cheese, but the extra special touch was the consomé with herbs served on the side to dip the tacos in! I went for the first time today since I was always seeing it super busy. I placed for a to-go order and waited by the bar after being told only 20 minutes at the most. After waiting over 40 minutes I finally asked where my food was and how much longer it would take, I got an attitude and the waitress walked back and forth and never confronted me again about how much longer I was expected to wait. I want to say, I've never spent $76 on food for two people before and when I looked at my receipt it automatically charged me 15% for a tip.. on a to-go order?! I shrugged it off thinking that the food must be good at least. My food came 10 minutes later and I took it home. Overall.. Super disappointed. Food was all dry and flavorless. Like they rushed even though I waited about an hour! I ordered the steak Hawaiian fajitas, super dry steak and I paid an extra $2 for cheese and they forgot it and they also forgot the pineapples .. So I guess I really just got a steak fajita ? Rice was okay, that's the only compliment I can give. My husband got a chicken burrito and also said the same thing. I ordered a piece of the Tres Leches cake and the icing had some funky taste to it. After removing the icing the cake itself wasn't bad, not sure exactly how hard it is though to mess up simple icing... my husband and I both agreed that Plaza Azteca is 100x better and we should have went there instead, at least with there were also would have gotten free chips.. Now let's talk parking. Utterly gross. Accident waiting to happen! They crammed so many "parking spaces" into this area that no one can barely get out. I got an incorrect order from them today which consisted of 10 ounce consommé that costed five dollars and the special Barroca tacos. not only did the tacos have barely any meat in them, but they gave me a 4 ounce of consume on the side. Not a 10 ounce. When I called them, they proceeded to hang up on me four times and act like they did the right thing. I've eaten a lot of Mexican food not just growing up but throughout the area (PA, MD, VA). I can't get behind this restaurant manly because of the value and quality of the food. We were a party of 7 (5 adults and 2 kids) and the total ended up messing with me to this day. In the low $200. This is what I usually spend at a nice restaurant in MD or VA. Server did the check though a handheld, didn't tell me there was already a 18% tip and I got the tip notification that only says 10% 15% or 20% or other. Maybe a glitch, but it looks to me you are trying to get a double tip, I had to asked her and she said "yes, the tip is already included". Clicked other and selected 0%. Anyways, I should have asked for a copy of the receipt or a breakdown. It's not about the money but more about the value for me. I understand the restaurant is in business to make money, that's the whole point, but don't overcharge me with subpar food. I'm sorry that I seem to go against everyone here but I have to be honest. It was just Ok. It's funny when people say they live somewhere in America and then say, I should know, we have great Mexican there. My wife and I both ordered what we usually do while in Mexico. So I'll judge it by that and compare to other local restaurants. My wife ordered chilaquiles, we were just in Mexico again for the who knows how many times, she ate this dish every day. Their version here eats very dry. Flavor was fine but the lack of spice and the lack of any extra sauce made it only a so so version. Closest to the actual dish in MX, El Publito. I had carnitas. The pork was actually good. Nice flavor. Good fat to crunch ratio. Where it fell short was the sides. Rice was fine, beans were way too thick and needed salt. What was really missing though is the one thing that no Mexican table is without. They had no salsas available or cut limes. Even street carts have a bowl of onion, cilantro, cut limes, salsa roja and verde. Without this the dishes just fall a little flat. Like having turkey, no gravy! Last, where I appreciate the byob aspect. You can buy margarita mix, for $6 a glass. You have to supply your own tequila. This is a bit steep and how they do it is really bad as well. They will give you a glass filled to the top with mix. You have to drink straight sour mix until you have enough room for alcohol. Don't know about anyone else but I got some pretty bad indigestion after drinking straight sour mix. My suggestion would be to ask for the mix on the side and not in the glass. read more
