    Gnocchi w/sausage
    Kevin B.

Gnocchi w/sausage was fantastic as was the side salad and fresh bread. Service was fast and friendly and prices were decent. It doesn't look like much from the outside. It's in a strip mall and looks like it's just a regular old pizza place but it's got a very diverse formal Italian Restaurant menu. Highly recommend!

Fairfield's best kept secret! Strip mall eating can be so hard but Sonia's gourmet kitchen does it well. Everything we had tonight was delicious and perfectly cooked. There's a wide menu option for all types of people, Children and adults alike. The atmosphere is so charming. The decor is beautiful (not expected) and our service was great too! Very attentive. This is a must try if you're in Fairfield.

In town for a college visit and stopped by Sonia's for dinner with the family. Immediately entering we were greeted by several. We ordered the Eggplant Parmesan, Gnocchi with sausage, Alfredo and Alfredo with mushrooms. All the food was amazing, I was a huge fan of the Gnocchi with Sausage! Services was amazing and all the employees were very attentive during the dinner service. I would highly recommend Sonia's if you're in the area.

Had an absolutely fantastic dinner at this hidden spot in a strip mall in Fairfield. If you weren't looking carefully you might miss it! I went there for a friend's birthday celebration. They handled our large group seamlessly and with friendliness. Despite the front looking like a pizza place, the restaurant aspect is beautiful and intimate. The food was absolutely delicious. I wanted everything on the menu but I settled for the in house made gnocchi, which was amazing. We also tried the garlic toast and the mozzarella sticks which were some of the best I have ever had. My dad had the Bolognese which he was raving about all the way home. I rarely clean my plate at an Italian restaurant, but I did here! I can't wait to return!

Wow! First time here but definitely won't be the last!! The burrata was awesome, the branzino was cooked to perfection and the scallops & shrimp over risotto was to die for!! Never had, or even heard of, a gooseberry before but they were on the plate with the burrata so I gave it a whirl. Delicious! Great meal - will DEFINITELY go back!

Stopped in to dine at this place and was really impressed with the decor. I had visited this place when it was a different restaurant and you can tell they made some serious renovations. For starters we had the charcuterie board which was really good. It came with various pieces of Italian meats along with 3 types of cheeses, olives and some fog spread. For my meal I had the NY Strip with mixed veggies and my girlfriend had the duck wings. The meal was okay but not out of this world. The steak temperature was a little off but not too bad. The duck wings were more to my girlfriend's liking. She enjoyed eating them. For dessert we had the tiramisu and it was ok.

We walked in and were greeted immediately by everyone in the place as we walked by them. We were seated promptly and our waiter was helpful in introducing expectations of the style for us as first-timers. It wasn't overly crowded, the booth was in great shape, and we had plenty of space as two colleagues who enjoy pizza (sometimes fixed tables in booths can be a bit uncomfortable). We went with the benchmark, a medium cheese. It was excellent. The char was a smidge (and I mean it - barely) too much but it adds a layer of depth to any pizza. The cheese was perfectly melty, and while it looked like it might be messy, there was barely any flop. We also felt that a $20.50 medium cheese of this quality was worth the money (but a $3.75 fountain soda is mentally harder to cope with haha). But the total package price did seem fair considering! Pizza was probably an 8.3/10, service was excellent, so I'll round up to five stars!

We ordered 3 pizzas, one large pepperoni and sausage, one small extra mozzarella and pepperoni, and one small tomato and mozzarella with garlic and 1/2 meatball. The pizzas came fast and tasted just as fantastic as they always do; nice char, great tasting sauce and cheese, and piping hot! As someone who hates typical Connecticut pizza and firmly believes that New York pizza is in a league of its own, I was genuinely shocked -- and impressed -- to find pizza here that rivals (and in some cases surpasses) what I used to get in the city. It's just that good. I've been ordering from this place since it was The Pizza Post, and the quality hasn't just remained consistent -- it's actually gotten better over time. The management, owner, chef, and even the delivery driver are all incredibly professional and courteous. It's clear they take pride in their product and in their service. Delivery is always lightning fast, and there's never a delivery fee -- which in this day and age is almost unheard of. Another huge plus? The gluten-free pizza I order for my wife isn't some frozen, off-the-shelf crust like most places. It's made in-house, and you can taste the difference. She loves it, and honestly, I've stolen a few slices and couldn't even tell it was gluten free. The ambience is exactly what you'd want from a great local spot -- a classic, no-frills mom-and-pop pizza joint where the focus is on the food and the community. If you're on the fence or stuck ordering from the same old mediocre spots, do yourself a favor and give The Post a shot. It's not just good for Connecticut -- it's just plain great.

It was founded by Italian immigrant restaurateurs and business partners Nunzio DeTommaso and Biagio "Gino" Riccio. DeTommaso ran Gravina Pizzeria in Greenwich for a number of years before it closed, while Riccio is most well-known for founding Quattro Pazzi Café in Fairfield in 1997. In this new collaborative venture between the two, DeTommaso and Riccio serve authentic New York-style pizza in a friendly and casual atmosphere. The name "Vespino" is a reference to a brand of mopeds which are a popular mode of transportation in major Italian cities. In addition to the signature New York-style pizza, the menu also consists of Detroit-style pizza, Italian entrees, pasta dishes, salads, classic antipasti, beer, wine and craft cocktails. In summer 2024, Vespino was sold to restaurateur Marcelo Acosta. My family and I recently had dinner at Vespino for the first time. We've had them on our "must-try" list of restaurants for some time and we were excited to finally sample their food. There were some fancy-sounding drinks on their cocktail menu, so I decided to order the "Sardinian Special" (Redemption bourbon, prickly pear, citrus, mint). This delicious cocktail reminded me of being on a warm Italian beach: a nice distraction from the freezing cold temperatures outside. For food, I ordered the "Burrata Pizza" (mozzarella, tomato sauce, topped with/ fresh burrata & EVOO), my wife ordered the "Tortelloni" (peas, prosciutto, mushrooms, vodka sauce), our older son had the "Kids Chicken Tenders" (w/ fries), and our younger son had the "Kids Penne Pasta" (w/ butter). We all really liked our food! My pizza had a crispy crust, really creamy burrata, and an excellent sauce! My wife loved her pasta, especially the vodka sauce). Overall, we all had a great experience at Vespino and would love to return. Next time I really want to try their Detroit-style pizza.
