    Happy hour 3-6p

A trendy spot in Fairfield, in these cold days is cozy and festive having a drink on the bar and ordering some small paltes to share, is one of the places i frequent while in Connecticut. The staff is cordial and attentive to your request. I enjoy the chef special usually pick them and never go dissapointed. I like the cocktails menu, adapted for the different season, that makes me wonder which one will try next. Recently redecorated the terrace and is anothe unique spot to enjoy a dinner with friends of family

    Chicken Parmigiana with pasta addition

I drive past this place often and I finally decided to give it a try. It turns out I picked the perfect day as they have all day happy hour on Tuesdays. I ordered the large chicken parmigiana since I wasn't sure the tapas version would be enough. We ordered 2, one with pasta and one without. The no pasta version came with a side of veggies and potato wedges, the pasta version came with just the chicken and the pasta, a little odd but it was good. I also ordered the spicy broccoli rabe as a veggie side and it's was great I definitely recommend.

Very disappointed in the dish it was really dry. The chicken had no flavor. I expected to have a creamy cheesy pasta. It was dry no flavor it was my first experience here and it was not a good one.

Oh man. I don't know if I should review this without trying them for a second shot. I ordered the fried ravioli and penne à la vodka. The penne was absolutely dry! The ravioli was absolutely stale or undercooked during delivery. I had it from DoorDash! Overall? Hmm. Even with their happy time recommendations on DoorDash... I do not know that I would return.

    Penne alla vodka

I ordered a lunch delivery based on the stellar reviews---most of which I have discovered to be false. I ordered the Caesar salad, penne alla vodka, home made bread. Yelp alerted me that my food was out for delivery, but waited..,.and waited...,and waited. No call, text, email. Radio silence. Famished and in between work meetings, I finally checked at the door and there was a bag with now a lukewarm pasta dish and a lukewarm salad. Yuck. The salad had NO dressing on it nor on the side. There were at most 5 shaved Parmesan pieces in a sea of Romaine. 5 stale croutons all in a PFAS leaching plastic container way too big for its contents. Penne alla vodka was great, but the price was ridiculous for the tapa size. The homemade bread was so disappointing. Hard, tasteless. Delivery and service deliveries are way too high (on top of expected tip). Fake or fraudulent reviews to boost a rating is a low down and seriously misleading ploy and an epic fail when the food and service do not live up to even mediocre standards.

My boyfriend and I absolutely love Romanacci's! While I've only tried the pizza, it's consistently fantastic. You can tell the ingredients are super fresh, and the staff is always wonderful. Yes, parking can be a bit tight, and it gets pretty crazy on weekends, but honestly, that just shows how popular and delicious this place is. To me, their pizza is a true delicacy!

Nice stop for some Italian food in Fairfield. Enjoyed the covered patio area. Menu was large with lots of good options. We had the fresh bread, mozzarella sticks, fries and penne vodka with chicken cutlet to share. Everything was tasty and came out very quickly! Service was friendly and attentive, and explained things well. Prices were fair too.

The food was delicious! Love the atmosphere. There were a lot of options on the menu, I would definitely come back to try more dishes.

    Very yummy Tartufo--truffle oil!

But because it was so cold today, we picked one close to the train station for our lunch for three, and it turned out to be a great choice after our meal at Ryebird. Their website describes Ryebird as "A Neighborhood joint where friends and family meet" and that seems pretty much spot-on. The bar is gorgeous, the dining room is beautifully decorated with red painted walls, dark distressed wood tables, and stainless-steel colored chairs. The service was great, I mean outstanding. Our server Leo was friendly, helpful and very accommodating. We had a few conversations with Manager Thomas who was very charming and a real joy to talk with. And I haven't even gotten to the food yet! OK, here we go! Our party of three went with a small Chicken Soup for The Soul with Cheesy Bread ($14) for me. What's Cheesy Bread? Well, how about three toasted pieces of gooey pizza bread topped with a feta spread and olive oil. My brother-in-law went with their Daily Pot Pie ($23 for Chicken today), with a house-made buttery crust, scratch-made filling, and an added $4 up-charge for a gravy boat full of mushroom bourbon gravy. My wife went with a Roaster sandwich ($18) of pulled chicken, cheddar, BBQ sauce, pickled onion, on a baguette served with fries. We also had an order of Lemon Chili Zucchini ($9) for the table. The food was wonderful, as both the pot pie and the sandwich were devoured. My soup was a pretty big bowl for a "Small" but was loaded with more carrots and celery than chicken. I asked our server Leo if they had any hot sauce, and he asked me how hot did I want it? Ryebird has a few different types in increasing levels of hotness. I asked for the max, and he brought out a little ramekin of some of the hottest hot sauce I ever had. It was pretty much at my upper level of tolerance. I chatted about it with the restaurant manager on the way out, and he was pretty sure it was made with Ghost Peppers, so that explained my thermonuclear mouth numbing reaction. Anyway, we loved our visit to Ryebird. Their food is reasonably priced, portions are generous, the quality is high, and the service is exceptional. What more do you want in a Fairfield County lunch?

Drinks first: my slightly dirty martini was made exactly right. My friend went with cosmo and it was equally on point. Whoever is behind that bar has their act together. Then the food happened. We started with grilled bread with an EVOO, agave, and chile dip -- sounds simple, ate like a statement. The char on the bread, the heat and sweetness of that dip. Good sign of things to come. Main event: shrimp and grits. Guinea flint grits, spicy red sauce, sage, stock. I don't say this lightly -- this is one of the best things I've eaten in a long time. The grits were creamy and rich, the sauce had real depth and heat, and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. The whole bowl just worked on every level. Dessert: goat cheesecake with pistachio dust and berry compote. Tangy, creamy, not too sweet, and that pistachio dust on top was a perfect finish. We cleared the plate.
