Thanks Yelp for once again leading me to a great restaurant. I absolutely loved my meal here; so much that I was tempted to return the next night. I ordered a meal to go and because the restaurant was busy I had to wait 45 minutes but that is to be expected. I ordered the sea bass which was served over sautéed spinach and typically white beans however I didn't want the beans. The gal kindly asked me what I wanted instead so I opted for risotto. It was fantastic. A great combo that they should always put together. The sauce was so delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly and a nice size portion too. In my take out bag they included a very generous serving of fresh bread and garlic olive oil. (I mean actual cloves of garlic in container of oil!). If you live here you must give this place a try. read more

Same crew was here a year ago, Bella and Kim welcomed us back like old friends! Same weather as a year ago and we're sitting at the same table in the corner, by the window. Gee no orchids! We had Prosecco to start. I ordered a delicious vegetable soup. We also shared a great salad. For our main course, we both ordered the chicken Marsala grinder(sandwich in New York) with a side of sautéed broccoli. Wow ! What a treat ! En-route to NYC for a few days , staying one night in CT, we landed at this AMAZING ,delicious Italian restaurant with everything to offer ; ... incredible chef & part owner (Alberto ) , who's passion came out in his creations , Chilean Sea Bass ( to die for ) , Beat Salad , warm scrumptious bread from the oven & the best service from his son Junior . His Co-owner Kim who welcomed us with open arms , despite being close to closing time , made us realize we hit Gold with our last minute choice . The decor , song selection , and ambiance being a cool laid back , and true Trattoria set up were all icing on the cake ! We had the best meal we have had in years , and we dine out often, and I , just returned from visiting Sicily , was blown away by this Italian restaurant we found by chance , being just epic ! read more

Invited to a surprise birthday party LOCATION - use the GPS a little tricky to get to in this squarely road area. PARKING - restaurant is in a little strip mall with some parking spots but not a plethora of spots per say ENTRANCE - when u come in there is a hostess podium on the left. No one there when we arrived but a person arrived pretty quickly AMBIANCE - the decor is very dark with dark wood and red walls with dim lighting. Very romantic or a no tell rendezvous spot. LOL MENU - kind of interesting with 10 or so appetizers to choose from, a half dozen pasta choices, same for meat, fish, and chicken For families with small children they have a Bambini selection with kid favorites - a nice touch VINO - we were a little early and I ordered the super Tuscan from the wine list. For basic it had a better body and a dark berry after taste. Only draw back was a high alcoholic bite at the end. CROWD - as folks can't in it was clear that this is an older crowd. Neither good nor bad just an observation APPETIZERS - I had the meatballs and they were average at best. While the sauce was flavorful the meatballs were not great at all. Also you get 2 very small so if you value portion size it's not here. ENTREES - I had the linguine fra Diablo. I needed to add hot pepper to get it to the fra Diablo level (disappointing). WAITRESS - she was very nice and cordial plus attentive and was ready to help in any way possible KITCHEN - it took a while for items to come out. It wasn't crowded when we arrived so I wonder how things go in a rush DESSERT - I only had a cappuccino which was decent. We had a wonderful experience and dinner here! We arrived a little earlier before rush and was surprised to see how many people go out to eat on Sunday nights and we understood why when the food came out. We started with the Eggplant Rollatini and that alone was really big and filling and delicious! We also had a caesar and the beet salad and ordered pastas for our entrees. Good but not great experience here. Had a reservation for our anniversary and had a nice table at the back in the corner. The first waitress that greeted us with water was kind and friendly, but the one that took over seemed annoyed to be there. Wasn't super attentive and we had some long wait times in between seeing her. The Caesar salad was enough for the two of us to split and was really tasty! Highly recommend. I got the sliced New York strip and I was disappointed. I order it medium and it came very close to well done. Also, as you can see in the pictures, the amount of potatoes and asparagus given was a little sad in the quantity. I like crispy/well grilled veggies, but the char on the asparagus tasted more of burnt charcoal/flame than anything else. I would come back and try it again because some of the other dishes looked good and maybe it was just an off night. read more

I entered the restaurant with my 15 pound, U.S.registered service dog and was shooed out by the manager or owner who rushed towards us saying, "We don't allow animals here." When I attempted to explain the situation, she rudely cut me off and repeated herself, "We don't allow animals here. I didn't have the energy to explain to her how out of line she was and went next door to a cheerful Irish pub and had a wonderful time. I've dined at many great Fairfield restaurants like Martel, The Delamar and Blackstone's and never had a problem entering with my trained service animal. We are visiting from Beverly Hills, California where all the finest restaurants respect the laws of service animals. What a shame Luna Azzurra handled the situation so carelessly. Went Mother's Day,sat in bar area,very nice ambiance,wasn't overly crowded. We sat down,got our menus,got water & bread,again very nice.. But then we waited,and waited,apparently they are short staffed and the bartender doubles as a waiter.Finally the gentleman comes over takes our drink order & brings them quickly. Then we waited and waited again for him to take our dinner order( by now we've been there close to an hour)..Dinner comes out about 25 mins later( they were busy), food was good. We wanted to order more drinks,but our waiter/bartender was very busy with the bar area and making drinks..So again we waited & waited,finally when we were just about done with our meal,he came back and asked if we wanted any more drinks,then we waited & waited again.. Such a great time at Luna Azzurra. Our service was absolutely amazing--shoutout Christina and Junior! Fresh warm bread to start the dinner with confit garlic. Yum. Our app was the beet salad--so refreshing and flavorful. The star of the show was the prime rib--24 oz. (massive!!!)--amazing flavor throughout, cooked to my liking (which is perfection), and juicy. The mashed potatoes and broccoli were great sides. I'm not a dessert person, but the menu looked amazing. HIGHLY recommend (even if the parking lot is a pain). I will be coming back here. Parking is terrible. Not enough but, that's not their fault. Wouldn't advise having a group of people. A couple of us had to park down the street to get to car. My wife gets Chicken Parm 90% of the time so she knows a good one. Espresso Martini was good. Cappuccino was Luke warm. Wouldn't get again. I'd stick to Coffee. Drank it quick before it got cold. My friend and I came and had dinner last night, and we had a great meal. We started off with the antipasto for an app. I had the rigatoni alla vodka with chicken for my meal, and my friend had the linguini with clams. Both meals were delicious, and we thought the portion sizes were very generous!
