I was able to make some decisions about which four cheeses to have included on my medium platter for the tasting. They include Comté, (cow hard) Ossau Iraty (sheep semi soft), Munster (cow semi soft) and perhaps a goat cheese that they may get in during the next few days. The shop has many specialty foods to select from. I enjoyed browsing before buying a couple of cheeses to take home for later.

The cheese display case is impressive and informative, each cheese with a card describing it and its source. Really helpful. While on the pricey side, the high quality and expert knowledge by the staff really makes such a difference in finding what you may be looking for. Seeing the amazing sandwiches he was making and how delicious they all looked. He was making every single sandwich and each one like a work of art! When we got to line, we had one of the other workers making our sandwich, when we got home there may have been one slice of turkey and so much more bread than any meat or toppings! Was very disappointed from seeing the work of arts, to a sandwich with less meat than subway. Amazing time and amazing experience and the chicken soup and pre made food was delicious, but the sandwich was one star, and will be back because we love this place, but ask for the owner to make your food if you go!

They gave us a slice of pepperoni pizza to try. We ordered the burrito bowl which was a decent portion and flavorful. We also ordered the horchata and the quesabirria. We enjoyed all the food. Paci, Southport: A Handsome Station Awaiting Its Last Car…read more There is a particular pleasure in dining where travelers once waited. Paci occupies the old Southport train station, and the renovation has been handled with evident respect: the bones of the building are beautiful, and they have been allowed to speak. The setting does much of the work. Metro-North trains glide past the windows, lending the room a gentle, cinematic rhythm, a reminder of arrivals and departures while one lingers happily in between. Service is warm without being cloying. The staff are friendly in the unforced way that suggests genuine hospitality rather than rehearsed script. The food is very good: confident, well executed, and worthy of the room it is served in. One leaves satisfied, and that is no small thing. Half portions are offered, a nice touch. And yet. The furnishings betray the architecture. Apart from two inviting leather alcoves, the dining room seating, and that in the bar as well, has a thin, fragile, flat-pack quality better suited to a first apartment than to a historic landmark. In a space this fine, the chairs feel like an afterthought, and you notice them all evening. That is the paradox of Paci. Nearly every element is in place: the building, the setting, the kitchen, the welcome. What remains is the finishing conviction to furnish the room as seriously as it has been restored. Paci is a very good restaurant with the makings of a great one. Its potential, like the trains outside, is visible from every seat. It simply has not yet arrived.

It is bright and airy and filled with regulars-they have a very loyal following. Service was great by Sal and team-water and wine service were top notch. The wine list and menu are great with lots of selections. We started with the meatballs and Peach salad-both were excellent. The entrees were good but could have used some improvement. My Chicken Parm had an unusual taste which I think was the breading for the chicken. The portion was good sized and I took half home., Ny wife had the Grilled Shrimp. It was good but could have used more seasoning. Desserts were great-Apple Crisp and Coconut Cake. Overall a great restaurant.

Was really hungry and a Yelp search revealed this place was just a few minutes off the highway so I figured I'd give it a shot. They didn't have much in the way of selection.....so I went with a regular slice with extra cheese and a margarita slice. The regular slice was decent.....it was thin with a crunchy and charred crust (but different than New Haven style pizza). The margarita slice was definitely better than the regular slice. The sauce was sweeter and the fresh mootz and basil gave it some good flavor. Crust was thin and well done. Good amount of seating inside and it's decorated with a nautical theme. 3.5 stars.

We had never heard of a large pizza with 2-toppings cosing $40 each??? We were the only table there. Upon complaining, about being evercharged, we were told we had 2-specialty pizza's and a salad??? HELLO, we were the ONLY people sitting in the restaurant that evening, it was obvious what we ordered (NO specialty pizza's) -- just 2-large pizza's with 2 toppings (one vegetarian: spinach/eggplant and one with 1-meat and 1-veggie) - NOTHING ELSE.. Sadly, I will NEVER return, nor will our friends we were with, plus everyone I am going to tell about tonight. I bragged about how good Sammy's (which we enjoyed prior). Our friends wanted to go to Sally's, which would have been less expensive for 2-large pizza's with 2-toppings (they're much larger too)! We will never step foot inside Sammy's again, or order from Sasco Beach as we had with our friends in the past on numerous occasions... Nauti Dolphin delivers to Sasco beach too, and we will suggest that for future deliveries and pick-up for homw... TT from Fairfield.
