    Outside of Paci's
    Luis M.

Paci's was an old Train station and it's now a restaurant. The outside still has remnants of the station in its heyday. The inside looks like an super modern Apple Store which was a little disappointing considering they could've kept the historic interior. The food and service were great but it's definitely very overpriced. We went here for a Birthday and spent an average of $150 per person with alcohol included.

These photos are what should have been served. But the photos are of what I grill all the time. We had gone to Pacis in a previous occasion and the food and service was good. That said, on this follow up visit, the result was significantly different. I'm not sure what was going on, but to put it mildly the hostess seemed less than happy to be where she was. We decided on the excellent Oysters again, and with the table bread they always serve, were looking forward to the steaks we ordered. At $65 for their prime aged sirloin, no restaurant can be ambiguous about the quality or the preparation. So I was in the mood for a great steak. Sadly, it was unappealing and undeserving of any compliment. It was in fact terrible. So much so that both of us ate a few bites and stopped. The broccoli and potatoes were cafeteria quality. High School that is. We had ordered it "black & blue" and the chef perhaps doesn't know what that is. They were both overdone inside and had no char at all. In fact they were both dry. Perhaps Paci should stick to Italian creations. I know I should have. In the mean time, I've attached photos of a "black & blue" ribeye I just grilled. I'm available to teach a how-to. Just saying. In the mean-time, I look forward to trying the traditional Italian dishes again on a future occasion. Just not the steak.

My fiancee picked this place for my birthday and im so glad he did. We did the outdoor seating, and the surrounding area was very quiet. The train going by, the heaters, the music, the surrounding ambience was just so peaceful. The staff was so personal and kind, and the food came out at such a great pace as well. I had the pesto pasta. It had pine nuts, tomatoes, and onion in it and the pasta was cooked to a chewy texture and it was just so perfect. My fiancee had the dry aged pork, it was very delicious and cooked to perfection (medium). We decided to try the ricotta cheese cake as well and it was so fluffy and delicious. They also sang happy birthday to me with a candle and that was really nice I forgot to mention as well, they served bread with a small plate of oil with ricotta spread and it was delicious as well. They are pricey, but that's fine if you are looking fkr a great place for a special date or something like that. For our 3 dishes it came to $73, with tip was paid $85. That's really not that bad for what we paid for. This place deserves more than 3.5 stars on yelp.

Chocolate lava cake that makes me miss chocopologie.

Full disclosure: I didn't pay for my meal, we were seated upstairs for a wedding rehearsal dinner. But, for free food and drink, Paci did a good job. The meatballs were excellent, really, top-notch. They had huge flavor, the sauce was just as I would expect. The bolognese sauce on the homemade pasta was slightly disappointing, maybe because I am not a fan of meat sauces that I don't make myself. The homemade pasta is a novelty to most, for me, it is a regular occurrence in my home, so I don't as much satisfaction for overpriced pasta. Dessert, chocolate lava cake, was good, but really made me miss Chocopologie in Norwalk, which closed a couple of years ago. Anyway, it might be 3 stars if I have to pay $100 for what I described, but 4 because it was free for me!

Excellent restaurant that is well known for its pasta dishes. I enjoyed an outstanding spicy shrimp and pasta dish as the main dish with heirloom tomatoes as an appetizer. Highly recommend the fresh berries for dessert. Very attentive wait staff.

The menu is some what tied into the Puglia region, which is the heel of the boot. I could tell the italian dialect from the owner when he was speaking to one of the staff, it immediately gave me a good feeling that this restaurant would be really good. The appetizers we had were all really good, we had the fried calamari, the grilled Octopusss, the fried zucchini flowers and thd hummus special. Sorry no pics of these. We had a couple of the Orrechiette Barese, Chicken parmigiana, a pasta special of fettuccine with shrimp in a cream and pesto sauce, another pasta with cavatelli, shrimp and cream and pesto sauce, really couldn't see the pesto, probably could have used a little more or maybe a little finishing with the pesto on top. Service was good and the owner came around to introduce himself and we got a complimentary round of their homemade creama di limencello to finish off the experience. Wr wouldn't hesitate to go again the next time we are in town to see a show.

Lots of gluten-free choices, and very accommodating. The light, crispy gluten free sticks of mutz (Beaded and Fried Mozzarella Sticks served with Marinara Sauce ) were the best I've ever had. Although I took half of the generous portion of orecchiette alla barese (Sausage, Broccoli Rabe, Garlic Oil Sauce ) home. They wound up being eaten for a late night desert. I guess it makes sense to pair fine food with fine wines.

Nice vibes, music pumping, drinks flowing...Chris our server was PHENOMENAL! She was a huge part of our magical experience. I started off with the buffalo cauliflower. I will preface this by saying I'm not a big Buffalo flavor person, but I'm a vegetarian and didn't feel like getting my usual vegetarian app - brussel sprouts. I wanted to expand my palate that evening and surprisingly I actually really liked it. The amount of blue cheese was perfect for me (despite the reviews) as it would have made it too salty and greasy. Next was my entree: Modified Kettle Cooked Zoodles. As a vegetarian, I never have the highest expectations but I was blown away! Chris our server was so sweet to have this customized for me. We took the idea of hubby's Branzino sauce and added more veggies to the Kettle cooked Zoodle dish. It was so yummy! Hubby's Branzino: fish was well cooked, elegant flavors from the Puttanesca sauce with spinach and mashed potatoes were excellent! Faux-ito: I got two, the first was the classic, the second was a mix of strawberry and pineapple. Both delicious mocktails! The Forbidden Pear: hubby got this one. very balanced, not sticky sweet. I can't believe this gem is just sitting here in Fairfield. Not too far off from a night in the city. We will definitely be back!

We decided maybe just a drink at the bar, we ordered two drinks, very flat, no carbonation in the drinks at all, wife's soda had not one bubble in it, my beer had no foam or bubbles at all (extremely flat). Not to mention the stemware was very poor, glasses were very small, very basic, and did not make for a want to be "chic" bar vibe. When paying, placed card down and asked for change for tip- (worked in food industry in the past, always better to tip cash). Bar tender looked at it, and decided to make 4 other drinks first as my wife and I sat there with empty glasses waiting to leave. For a bill under 14 and change, asked for change for a 10, was going to tip $4 and given back two fives, granted it's only $1 but the service and everything did not grant a 29% tip sorry! Would have loved to have tried the food, but as an empty restaurant, on a hopping Thursday night, was very put off on the first impression.
