Branzino

The staff were all very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed a quick dinner tonight. My wife enjoyed the French onion soup. It was super hot and very cheesy, she enjoyed it after it cooled down. For dinner she enjoyed the Branzino which was flavorful and a large portion. I had the pork Milanese which was pounded thin and breaded and fried. The salad on top was fresh and tasty.

I haven't been to Martel in a few years, and wasn't sure if I'm still going to enjoy it. My fears were unfounded. The service was as always top notch. And the food...oh man, the food is some of the best in town. I had an amazing drink - Autumn in Manhattan. Followed by a lovely charcuterie board. My Fettuccini Bolognese was mouth watering. That pasta was so fresh, the flavors so good, and yet super light. My friend had a meatloaf, and loved it. I finished the meal with a great banana creme brule. Can't wait to go back!

The menu does not change, but their food is solid good. The trout was delicious. You cannot skip Beignets!!!

Was looking for some light far and drinks and found they had many items on their menu to suit me. First off, was in the mood for a Moscow Mule so we ordered up 2 of those. No copper mug, and not 100% authentic in ingredients, but was a damn interesting drink that we ordered seconds! We went for the Iced Seafood plate with the lobster, shrimp, oysters, clams and mussels and this was a great start! Next up was the Charcuterie board and I must admit, some of the best pate I have ever had! Then we ended with their Burrata. This was the only one i would change as it got lost and buried under the mound of salad it came with.

I've been to this restaurant several times over the years and was surprised to see I had not given a review as of yet. Normally, I tend to visit during lunchtime and my meal consists of one of their delicious sandwiches but this time we visited during their dinner menu. For starters we had the calamari. We thought it was going to be fried calamari but we were pleasantly surprised to see it was grilled calamari served over mixed greens with a splash of balsamic vinegar. What a great way to start our meal. The flavor and portion was perfect! For our entrees my girlfriend had the duck confit served with mashed potatoes and I had the meatloaf served with carrots and I substituted the mashed potatoes for a butternut squash purée. I was very pleased with my dinner choice as well as my girlfriend. The meatloaf was packed with flavor and moist with the star of the dish being the butternut squash purée. The butternut squash was so silky smooth and was delicious. To top everything off we had a banana creme brûlée. The creme brûlée was ok, I've had better. Overall the service was excellent the restaurant adhered to Covid protocols and we enjoyed our meal. Definitely two thumbs up and we highly recommend.

If you're on the hunt for a traditional French bakery with authentic French and European pastries, desserts, and breads, you will happily walk out of here with a bag of wonderful goodies. When you walk in, you'll come across a tempting display case piled high with their baked goods. I saw platters of croissants of every description! Plain, Chocolate, Choc/Raspberry, Almond, Almond/Choc, Croissant Donuts and Croissant donut holes. But wait there's more! Brioches, chocolate Plies, Pinwheels, fruit turnovers, Cinnamon Rolls, Coffee Cakes, Danishes, Beignets, Scones, Fruit Tarts, Palmiers. The list goes on and on and I haven't even gotten to their cookies, macarons, baguettes, rolls, challah, cakes, quiches, and sandwiches. Seriously, you can have three meals a day here for a month and never duplicate anything. When I walked in, the dining room was pretty busy with customers enjoying a late lunch. The ordering line for baked goods was around five deep, which gave me plenty of time to check out the goods. I ended up with a nice assortment of a chocolate croissant, a chocolate Plie, a fruit turnover, donuts, and a fruit pie. We had some of the goodies last night and a bit more for breakfast today. The chocolate plié was amazing, and honestly, everything we've tried so far has been great. Easy FIVE STARS, n'est-ce pas?

Unfortunately, the service didn't match the quality of the kitchen. At one point, I noticed servers handling bread with their hands and then bringing out food without washing them, which was honestly unpleasant to see while sitting at my table. It made the overall experience feel less comfortable than it should have been. I'd still come back for the food, but I really hope the service and hygiene standards improve.

I was traveling for work and shared a meal with my coworker at a'vert brasserie on a Tuesday night…read more The restaurant was pretty empty unlike some of the other popular restaurants in the area. We were seated by the window and were given freshly baked bread. We ordered the French classics: mussels, escargot, duck leg confit, and steak and fries. The mussels came out first and were pretty average. I usually like sipping the wine broth it comes with or dipping fries/bread into the broth. The escargot had plenty of oil and seasoning. It was actually too salty even though my coworker requested less salt on everything. I enjoyed dipping the fresh bread into the oil. Lastly came the entrees. I was a bit disappointed in both of them. The hanger steak was cooked medium rare like I wanted but the texture was not great. I was hoping for a more tender cut and this was a bit tough and lean. The frites were cooked well and very crispy. The duck confit was very tender but I didn't think it was amazing. Overall I don't think I will be returning to this restaurant with so many other great options around. I might be biased as I am not too familiar with French cuisine but we already sampled most of the classics already.

Mon Dieu! The warm goat cheese salad! I swore I wasn't going to eat it all, but somehow I emptied my plate. I added chicken and the meat was juicy and savory. The sour cherry vinaigrette was a lovely way to dress the toasted almond shavings and greens. The Montrachet melted in my mouth. The service was attentive and cordial. I felt bad they couldn't coax dessert because I've had their crème brûlée on another occasion and it was heavenly. C'est magnifique, Chez Vous! A lovely little bistro offering a fantastic dining experience.
