I only leave Yelp reviews if it's a very poor experience or exceptional... and I have never had such BAD service at a restaurant. We had three different waitresses come to our table which was confusing. The appetizer and drinks came out fine. I checked the time, an HOUR had passed since ordering a pizza for the table. I understand that restaurants get a bit crazy during a weekend rush, but it was not the case. Other people had their apps and entrees coming out quickly with amazing customer care. I asked for the check and the pizza to go. When the pizza came out immediately with the check. The pizza wasn't even cut in slices. I have a list of restaurants to go to throughout Connecticut, and I recommend NOT going to this one.

Grabbed a pie to go from Mario the Baker in Bridgeport, CT First time giving this place a try. Very good pepperoni pizza. Dough was soft and a bit chew. Crust has a little crunch. Good balance of sauce and cheese. Basic pepperoni slices, good spice. Went in and this place was very busy. Had a great vibe. The place smelled amazing. I'll definitely have to be back for a sit down dinner and try out the rest of the menu. Looking at the dishes coming out of the kitchen while I waited for my pizza made my mouth water lol looked and smelled delicious. The staff were super friendly when picking up. They greeted me on my way in and out. Definitely set up great expectations for a sit down dinner. Looking forward to coming back for a bite. Buon Appetito! #fairfieldcountywineanddinejournal #nationalpizzaday

Locals have been going here for over 30 years because of good food, large portions, great service and consistency! Family owned and operated! We had Pizza which is made w a traditional crust, you could taste the quality of homemade Sausage, fresh mushrooms and broccoli Rabe! The chicken dishes are always tasty and fresh. It has nice atmosphere with a recently remodeled dining room, updated entry with new stairs and windows. We also call for takeout, pizza, Chicken and Meatball parm Grinders, salad and more. We have also ordered catering, delicious Chicken Marsala, Baked Ziti w Riccota and Chicken parm! Ask for Jimmy!

Ordered a garlic sausage pizza. I have never gotten one with huge slices of raw garlic until tonight. It was terrible. I had to take most of it off. Why would a pizza place think this is ok. Ever heard of chopped? At least the crust was perfect. The table bread was pretty bad as well. Our party of 5 refused to finish it. Finally the Creme Brulee was amazingly delicious but under cooked. It had the consistency of very soft whipped cream. The sugar on top was barely caramelized. Sadly, Mario the Baker was not on the top if their game tonight. I was so sad.

Stopped in to get a late lunch. Overall the restaurant is ok We started off by having an order of calamari which was really good. Lightly battered and fried. Plenty of flavor and cooked perfectly. For our meals we had the chicken parmigiana with pasta, lasagna and the hot antipasto. The hot antipasto was good and flavorful. The chicken parmigiana was probably the star of the afternoon. The chicken was very flavorful and moist. My dish left me disappointed. The lasagna was not good at all. It did not have much taste to it and it seemed like it was at least missing several layers. The service was good. The waitress was quick to take care of us and she was quite patient with us having the grandkids. I think we may be back but I may have to try something else on the menu.

I remember coming here as a kid. It's still a super cool place. Tucked away on a busy road, in what looks like a house, is this spectacular Italian restaurant. Great service. Great food. Great prices. The pizza was good but I'm coming back for the pastas. Especially the penne a la vodka. Chicken dishes were pretty good too.

Our new favorite Italian. Both for dinner and the take-home leftovers, the portions and quality of food were beyond beyond.

Drinks first: my slightly dirty martini was made exactly right. My friend went with cosmo and it was equally on point. Whoever is behind that bar has their act together. Then the food happened. We started with grilled bread with an EVOO, agave, and chile dip -- sounds simple, ate like a statement. The char on the bread, the heat and sweetness of that dip. Good sign of things to come. Main event: shrimp and grits. Guinea flint grits, spicy red sauce, sage, stock. I don't say this lightly -- this is one of the best things I've eaten in a long time. The grits were creamy and rich, the sauce had real depth and heat, and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. The whole bowl just worked on every level. Dessert: goat cheesecake with pistachio dust and berry compote. Tangy, creamy, not too sweet, and that pistachio dust on top was a perfect finish. We cleared the plate.

They put a heavy focus on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and smoked cooking techniques, and it really shows in every dish. We stopped in around 3:30 on a Sunday and grabbed seats at the bar for quicker service, which ended up being the perfect move. Our bartender, Gabe, was fantastic...attentive, friendly, and genuinely added to the overall experience. The presentation across the board was stunning, but the flavors backed it up just as much. The smoked half bird was easily one of the highlights: perfectly tender and juicy, with a deep smoky flavor balanced by subtle sweetness from the agave and brightness from the lemon zest. The lamb chops were another standout...beautifully cooked, clean, juicy, and layered with bold flavor from the spicy harissa, cooling yogurt, ginger, and fresh mint. The charred broccolini surprised me in the best way. Serving it over whipped ricotta with Calabrian chilies, garlic, and lemon zest created this creamy, smoky, slightly spicy balance that worked incredibly well together. Even the carrots had great flavor, with the citrus glaze, spiced crème fraîche, toasted pistachios, sesame, and mint adding a lot of texture and contrast. My only minor critique was that the texture of the carrots felt a little inconsistent throughout the dish, almost as if they may have been slightly rushed that day. Overall, though, everything felt thoughtful and well executed. Between the smoky flavors, elevated comfort-food feel, gorgeous plating, and great energy, this is definitely a spot I'd come back to.

Should have been my first clue. The pizzas in the display case all looked enticing (although nothing labeled or priced) and I decided to get a Gramma slice along with the eggplant special listed for the day. I also got the ricotta/spinach bread showcased in the display case. I asked if the eggplant was a platter or a grinder/sandwich, and was told it was a sandwich. Great. Well, there was no grinder, no Italian bread, roll, but what looked to be either pizza or calzone dough made into bread like slices. Interesting. The taste wasn't great and it was difficult to pick up to eat without all falling apart, so I decided to remove the top piece of "bread" and eat it with a fork and knife. There was 1 piece of eggplant, 1 piece on each sandwich half. One. Eggplant Parm is cooked and then the slices layered, and usually there are at least 3-4 layers, but not this. The eggplant had many seeds in it indicating the eggplant is past its prime-not the freshest -and the seeds add a bitter taste. Not pleasing. Gobs of cheese atop the bread, but no Parmesan detected. The ricotta spinach was an inedible unappetizing mess of stringy cheese and overcooked spinach. The Gramma slice was ok but I would not return for this. The decor is great and the service was fine, but the food was not good and ended up in the garbage! Ugh! On street parking in downtown Bridgeport. I will not be returning nor recommending.

Rob Thomas was playing there that evening! lol holy flashbacks. Started with the Caesar salad and initially we said side salad so our waiter must have put that through but then we quickly changed it to the main Caesar so we could share it. I also ordered the Lobster ravioli and the man got the salmon. A few minutes go by and out comes the side Caesar salad from a food runner. Place was packed so they have food runners and bussers here. We then had to find our waiter to tell him he/they messed up. About ten minutes later the main Caesar comes, we are finally enjoying that and out come our hot entrees about a minute later. I HATE when entrees come while you are still eating your appetizers/salads or not even done with your drink. This is a sign of poor service/communication with the kitchen or just an incredibly overbooked restaurant and therefore; service suffers. Entrees-the Lobster ravioli came with ONE ravioli (Pictured). A lot of seafood comes with this dish which was very delicious and I was hungry so I ate 99% of it and then our server came over to ask how it was so I told him it was good but it only had one ravioli. It was more like a cioppino dish than a ravioli dish. He was so nice and said I'm going to send out another dish with more ravioli. I was pretty full so I didn't need more food, but I gladly took it home as it was very tasty. Man said the salmon was ok. Not the best. We then stayed for the band and they were phenomenal. They kept the sound under control so it wasn't blasting with customers having dinner. We decided to go over there after dinner and hang out. I will say the space for bands is very small. It's in the corner and there are tables awkwardly around the band and really no place to stand and watch the band unless you're around the corner. Strange setup but we had a blast. Food very tasty but I have to say I agree with the low ratings on this place because a lot of mishaps occurred.

I am a mail carrier with very little access to restrooms on the routes. So today, although I did not make a purchase today, I stopped there this morning to use the restroom. I again then tried to use the bathroom just now 3/2 @ 5pm and the young lady who is the cashier had an attitude and said to me that I basically shouldn't think that I can just come there and use their bathroom, and that I have to be a customer. I explained to her that I am a customer, I just wasn't making a purchase today. She continues to tell me that she's being "nice," and if it were anyone else .. they would tell me no to my face (lmao).
