What's to say? The restaurants under the Bill Taibe group have certainly cracked the formula and…read moreyet each has an identity and justification for being all its own. This is no more highlighted by the fresh, vibrant and truly individual experience of Don Memo. The decor is understated yet memorable, soft woods, neutral earth tones, rustic tile, etc. Minimalist done very well. Far and away the prettiest of their portfolio as Kawa Ni lost a lot of its physical charm after the space expanded, ironically. But there is little to criticise and much to praise. The food is superlative. All of Bill's food has historically been very solid-- creative, beautiful, extremely tasty. This menu however is on a whole different level. Utterly exquisite, not a single off flavor, all plates stunningly presented. Our dinner: Lobster Tostada (insane), guacamole, soft shell crab tacos, mixed meat tacos and cucumber salad. Everything was sublime start to finish with the tostada being a clear highlight. Quatro Leches for dessert was also a major hit. One minor drawback; cocktails are good but predictable. On their own, they're very well made but viewed against those at their sister restaurant Kawa Ni, there is room to be more daring. The Al Pastor margarita, for example, could do with roasting the pineapple. Still, very enjoyable. Finally, I almost never comment on service unless it's remarkably bad however our server Allen was unusually impressive. Light, conversational, well informed and attentive. He's a man clearly in the right line of work. Pricey but quality and value are directly comensurate. 100% recommend.

Bummer. We were so excited to have discovered Don memo. It really was a wonderful And refreshing take on Mexican cooking. Nothing like you would expect.

Bartaco's Westport location has been one of my go-to spots for a while now, whether I'm meeting a…read morefriend for drinks or planning a casual date night. Their classic margarita never disappoints (with Tajín on the rim, of course), and the tacos are consistently flavorful and fresh. I almost always start with the plantains and chips with guacamole, which make the perfect shareable appetizer. There's truly something for everyone, even for those who wouldn't typically gravitate towards Mexican-inspired cuisine. That said, the service has become a bit hit-or-miss in recent visits. They are an extremely busy location so I understand the hustle. I was happy to see they brought back the traditional table-side ordering after a period of having customers place orders exclusively through their phones. The current hybrid approach is a much better. You get the more personal and professional experience of ordering with a server, while still having the option to pay or place additional orders through your phone if needed. Despite a few service inconsistencies, I'll definitely be back for another margarita and taco night soon!

Our favorites were the chicken tinga, sesame ribeye, and crispy shrimp. The margaritas were also tasty and refreshing, not overly sweet. We had the watermelon mint margarita and green margarita. The place gets very busy, especially on weeknights, so be sure to join the waitlist with the nifty online feature or in person if you plan on going for a date night. There is room outside to wait and an outdoor heater too, which is thoughtful. It must also be nice in the day time with the view of the water.

The meals were huge and 5 of us took part of our meals home! 6 meals with 2 margaritas and 4 non alcoholic beverages for ~$125. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was fantastic! My verse enchilada was so flavorful and despite the little spice I could taste every item in the meal! We had a variety of meals from my shrimp enchiladas to chicken mole enchiladas, a chicken dish, a vegetarian dish and a salmon dish- all delicious! My granddaughter the toddler enjoyed everything immensely!! The restaurant has many tables and a large size bar. The chips and salsa were very fresh with nice heat. To eat we had steak Quesadillas and the shrimp burrito. These meals were about $14 a piece and were PHENOMENAL. We couldn't believe how good and filling the meal was. I also had a mango margarita with sugar rum which was delicious. We finished with churros for dessert. This will definitely be our regular Mexican spot, can't wait to come back.

Popular menu items include birria tacos, octopus, shrimp ceviche, and steak chimichurri. My daughter and I visited here for her birthday, and we both love Latin cuisine. As we walked in, we were greeted warmly and shown to our seats immediately. It was a chilly day, and the restaurant felt cold inside as well. The staff tried to warm things up with space heaters, but they didn't quite do the trick. We ordered empanadas, birria tacos, hanger steak, and sweet plantains with crema and queso fresco. When the dishes arrived, they were lukewarm--a bit disappointing, considering how cold it was outside. The birria tacos were delicious, though again, they could have been hotter. The meat was tender and well-seasoned, but I would have liked it a bit crisper. The hanger steak was tender, and the Pico de Gallo was bursting with flavor, pairing perfectly with the steak. It was nicely seasoned and had a good-sized portion. The empanadas were tasty, with flavorful and plentiful meat. The plantains were extremely delicious. The crema and queso fresco helped bring the whole dish together beautifully. The customer service was friendly, but the food could have been hotter; still, the flavors and seasonings were spot-on.

In town for a few days and a "tacos" yelp search led me to Bodega Taco Bar. Very glad to have…read moredropped by. Great experience. Highly recommend each of these: Bodegarita - Cazadores, luxardo triplum, lime juice, agave...this is their classic marg. Nice balance, well mixed. Bodega Original Guacamole...fantastic. Basic in a good way. Very avocado forward. Not over-salted. The chips were fresh and not salty..again in a really good way. I did ask for a few lime wedges to add a little juice, but the guac was excellent. Pork Carnitas - Crispy potatoes, onion, serrano-avocado crema, cilantro...very good. Americano - Seasoned ground beef, manchego cheese, salsa de russa, crispy taco...kinda unique. A little like a big mac meets a taco. Unexpected but very glad I tired. Gambas - Seared ancho chili shrimp, cucumber-mango salsa, chipotle mayo...my favorite one. 5-start taco. Chicken Tinga - Tomato braised chicken, cotija cheese, mexican crema...excellent as well. Service was very good. Attentive, prompt and gave good/accurate recommendations. Didn't laugh at all my jokes. That's ok- few do. Set back from the Post Road, I must have driven passed here a million times. Unassuming storefront. Cozy spot. 5 table tops and 5-ish tables. A nice bar w/ excellent tequila options. The decor matches the food and experience if that makes sense. No brainer 5 stars from me. I'll be back and I'll certainly recommend.

Road trip to Boston…read more.. Needless to say it was a Friday afternoon and traffic was a pain from the start. A quick little yelp search and we had an instant detour for some sustenances, while we let the other motorist continue on their way. Bodega, located in a small little shopping strip, is also small and quaint. Not much wiggle room so be prepared to be neighborly. We arrived half past 4, just in time for HH @ the bar. So we grabbed some seats at the end of the bar where Alex the bartender took care of us. We started with Passionritas (passion fruit margs) and guacamole. Both were equally delish and the guac is bowl licking worthy. However, I do not recommend since you are dinning in public. Lol. In addition we ordered the bodega blistered brussels sprouts and baja tacos to share. The sprouts were an absolute stand out. I opted for the Mexico City Ceasar Salad with Salmon. Presented slightly deconstructed, which didn't take anything away from the great taste. We had an absolute great experience from Alex our bartender whom was very impressionable to Diego (possible manager) whom also made a nice impression. We tried a few more margs before our departure. With the hibiscus being one of my faves. A wonderful spontaneous detour, that will now be a welcomed stop on future road strips north. Just A Note: - HH @ the Bar only (Tues-Fri 4-6pm) - You can take Bodegaritas to-go they have them bottled for sale.
