I was in Flagstaff and saw that they have a Someburros here. I was on my way out of town and decided to grab some breakfast before leaving. I am a regular at Someburros but have never tried their breakfast. I love my Someburros. If you are a native of the Valley like me, then you grew up eating at Poncho's Mexican Food. I remember fighting with my siblings over that basket of sopapillas. The Vasquez family (longtime owners of Poncho's) opened the first Someburros in 1986. We now have several of these family-owned, fast-casual restaurants all over the Valley. They specifically cater to young families on a budget. I am a big fan of their hot sauce and at times will get a pint of it to go. Someburros' menu consists of traditional Mexican food made from family recipes from Sonora, Mexico. Their signature Pollo Fundido is my personal favorite. Another favorite of mine is their Albondigas Soup that they serve in the Fall. In addition to food, they have horchata, alcohol and churros! They keep a calendar on the wall that highlights food specials and local events. If you are hosting a big party, Someburros caters large platters of party-sized portions of their popular items. If you want good Mexican food made quick, Someburros is always an easy choice. Someburros has drive-thru service if you are in a hurry. You can also order ahead. They have a rewards program that offers special discounts after so many visits. read more

Saturday evening visit, firsr time at this location. The carne asada plate and nachos were solid. My party did not like that the carne was diced and not sliced into larger pieces. There was no wait to order but the wait to receive the order was significant. read more

Quicker service would be nice. I Waited 32 mins for a bean burrito and fish taco. The 2 other people in the place before me looked frustrated as well. Might just be a door dass rush for the cooks. read more

Unique menu choices, really good food. Service was great., food came out hot and at a great pace. Vibe inside was lively. Will def. come back to this one or a different location read more

I placed my order via door dash, and absolutely didn't expect my order to be as quick as it was let alone as good as it was. The burritos were great, the green sauce was amazing and they were really quick! I'd definitely get another burrito from here if I was in flagstaff again. read more

I love someburros! The nachos are super good and usually come with beans, cheese, tomatoes, and jalapeños. I didn't get any tomatoes or jalapeños so I added my own jalapeños and tomatoes + avocado. You just have to make sure to check your order when picking up. read more

First time at this location and it is a nice clean restaurant. They offer a faster Mexican food option which might surprise most, but it is good. The tostada nachos are better than a regular bean tostada in my opinion, and they are quite affordable. My friend had the albondigas (meatball) soup and liked it. Another friend had 2 beef crispy tacos and enjoyed it. Another had the borracho burrito and liked it. The cheese enchiladas were yummy also. We all liked our food and would definitely recommend if you are in the area. Let me not forget, the staff was friendly and flexible. read more

We were staying in the night in Flagstaff on our Route 66 trip. I bookmarked Someburros because it was literally the only place I could find in the state that sold vegetarian chimichangas. We were hoping to get on the road on the early side to get to our next destination at a reasonable hour but, unfortunately, this location is one of the only ones that doesn't open until 10:30. Yes, I absolutely would stuff my face with a fucking fried burrito at 9am. Priorities are priorities, after all, so we waited until opening time to snag one before heading on our way. There was only one other patron in there but it does give me a little bit of validation that we weren't the only people eating Mexican food at that hour. We ordered a bean chimi to share. We also requested 2 waters and were given cups to use the machine. GF accidentally pressed the wrong button and filled up one of the cups with lemonade. It was a total accident and I'm not even joking. We felt terrible. We're going to hell. I am fully expecting the FBI to knock down our door at any moment. Sincere apologies, Someburros. The chimi came out pretty quickly. The accompanying chips were fantastic. Thin, warm, perfectly salted. Dangerous and requires some willpower to not fill up before the actual food comes. The chimi was orgasmic. Because I had already eaten way too much of fried ice cream I had from the night before, I told GF that she could have most of this but we all know how that turned out. I ate the fuck out of it. It was filthy with sauce and beans and fried dough and filthy in the best way possible. I could roll around in it. I could put my face in it. I could eat this as my last meal if I ever found myself on death row. Need I say more? I see the overall rating isn't as fantastic as my experience but perhaps they are ordering the wrong shit. read more

Was looking for something other than burgers or chicken so stopped by here for dinner while traveling through, I got an enchilada and ground beef/potato taco with added sour cream and my husband got a burrito and a side of chips and salsa. The food did come out quickly which was nice. I liked the beans and rice it came with but the enchilada was so salty I couldn't eat it. The salsa was just alright, I paid for sour cream but didn't get it. Husband enjoyed the burrito. He ended up eating the enchilada the next day and said that the only reason he can eat it is because he loves salt but he can see a lot of people not being able to because of how salty it is. The potato taco was just ok. read more

The service was very fast. The food was amazing I got a chicken Someburros bowl. Very fresh & tasty. Portion size was ample

We ordered this to be delivered to the hotel we are staying at nearby and I do need to say the driver was amazing, the food was all packaged well and it arrived on time. Overall the food was good- not the best, but we were happy to have tried it (when we travel our goal is always to try things that aren't local where we live). We ordered the beef tacos (some of the meat was pretty charred), a chicken burrito, the mini chimi plate, a carne asada quesadilla, a Mexican pizza and chips/guacamole. Overall it lacked flavor, and definitely needed the salsa/hot sauce. Everything was prepared well and the portions were good size. We can't say anything about the restaurant itself, as we didn't go in. They did not include utensils, which was a bummer, but other than that, no real issues. read more

Tasty food, overall. Burritos some of the best options on the menu. Friendly staff & attentive service. Unfortunately, traditional street tacos are not an option. The tacos offered are hard shell & $4 each. read more

Albondigas soup, chips, and warm tortillas with butter...mmmm! Salsa is sooo good and loaded with mexican oregano. They say that the soup is seasonal, but it's delicious and should be a year round item, as far as I'm concerned Only downside is there's a lot of rice in the soup and it's gonna mess up my keto, but let it be just this once. The inside is spacious with big windows for lots of natural light. Easy lunch for under $10 read more

this place was good! there are so many other better more authentic choices in flagstaff though! i cant say that the service, food, and quality wasn't great. if you're in the area and looking for something consistent and a good meal this is a great option. if you're shopping around for mexican places there are better options. read more

Food was fast to come out and the cashier was friendly. After that it went downhill. The carne asada burrito was a boatload of the refried beans a smatter of sour cream and a few pieces of flavorless meat. No guac, cheese, vegetables, salsa, rice... Nothing. There were pockets if empty space where I got huge bites of just tortilla... Not ideal. The beans weren't bad but I mean I don't need to eat half a can of refried beans in a tortilla. That's a lot o'bean. Gf got a chicken fundido style and said the fried tortilla was nice but same complaints as mine. Can't say this place has much going for it sadly read more

There are tons of food options in Flagstaff and it was hard to pick a place everyone could agree on. I'm so glad my family picked Someburro's, especially after the long trip from Phoenix. The food was fresh and delicious. I was impressed by how clean the restaurant was. The staff was attentive and our order, which was a bit complicated, was all correct. I can't recommend Someburros enough! read more

First time here, recommend by a friend and was vey pleased! The ambiance was not your traditional Mexican style restaurant, the only traditional I noticed was the menu and maybe the name itself. Nice place, clean and modern with plenty of room and outside seating as well. Service was nice, you don't order from your seat, or have a server to get your order, you go up to the counter, order/pay, get your chips/salsa and your drink cups as they have refillable fountain drinks. They bring your order when ready. So far not your typical Mexican restaurant but going with it. Food; two orders and drinks. 1 - Borracho Burrito: Green beef Chile 2 - Pancho Villa Burrito: Red beef Chile Both ! Were very good ...! For a place that really doesn't seem like they serve Mexican food it's Probably my new favorite place for Mexican food and I've tried several places in town. Will definitely be coming back for sure. Prices were reasonable and cheaper than some other palaces as well. $$ read more

I had the red chili burro that consisted of a bean sauce with a tiny bit of meat. I consider this false advertising to mislead the customer. It was really a bean burrito. I'm tired of restaurants misrepresenting their food. It's lying and now I call them out. read more

If it is so hard to order a simple order of chips and salsa to be ready right away like La Fondas, I would recommend La Fonda for that. This place, I had to wait for a lease for 15 to 30 minutes to get my order. read more

I think this is the fanciest Someburros I've been in! It's quite spacious with high ceilings, warm sunny decor, and a nice patio in the front. Ordering was fast and simple and my order was ready in a few minutes. The el diablo scramble burro was like others I've had at their sister locations. It had a hearty amount of chorizo, with egg, onion, sour cream, and jalapeno. I liked the spicy kick to it but it did need the hot sauce that came with it to give it more flavor. The restaurant itself is in a newer shopping center with a Whole Foods and Dutch Bros. If you are looking for fast food Mexican, Someburros is the place to be! read more

Really surprised at the 3 star average... My wife and I have been here a handful of times... Maybe close to 10 times. Every time we've been, the food and service has been really good. Someburros is really the only decently priced good Mexican food restaurant in Flagstaff that we've found. The food seems traditional to me....not Americanized... and I've lived in Guadalajara and been to Baja many times. The restaurant has always been very clean. The drinks are great! They even have horchata!!! Thank God Someburros has come to town. read more

Someburros is one of my wife's favorite places to eat so we come here about once a month. Food is always fresh, service is good, and price is not too bad. I like their nachos (which are not really a traditional plate of nachos, rather 5-6 small tostada shells for chips). The tacos are fried, and very tasty as well. Authentic Mexican, maybe not, but it is still quite good. read more

Pollo fondido!!!! That's the must have! Went for lunch around 11am. It was really hot outside and the restaurant was clean and cool. The staff was very helpful and very nice. Food was awesome! Staff was top notch, very friendly and attentive. Restaurant was super clean. They deserve the Golden Sombrero!

Passing through town and decided to give this place a try for the first time. Got here around 7:30, there was barely anyone inside and placed an order. After I paid the manager says "someone just placed a fiesta pack order so it's going to be 15-20 mins, is that ok?" and I replied "Ok well that would have been nice to know before I paid." It honestly felt like I was getting a lot of attitude from him from that moment on. Twenty minutes later I had our food, asked for an extra dressing and was told it would be extra (no thanks you should have thrown it in for the wait) , left and took everything home and realized that they forgot the chips and the tacos were cold! Ugggggh, so frustrating since we paid a lot for what seemed like very little food and everything was very mediocre. Portions were small and the flavor of everything was not that great. First and last time here. read more

I was here once a couple years ago and was unimpressed- hadn't been back. Decided to give it another try since I had a 25% off coupon. I ordered the beef taquitos combo. The beef was completely without seasoning, but when dipped in their salsa, much tastier. The beans were good and the rice, like most Mexican joints, was eh. My plate came with guacamole, and it clearly wasn't fresh- it had an odd lime green sorta color. I'm assuming it's due to some chemical preservative in it. They have free wifi which is a good thing. All in all, I'll come back with my coupon, but it's certainly not the best Mexican in town. read more

Came here with family to eat. I had carne asada tacos. The meat was very hard and chewie. My son had chimichanga and he said it was okey. My wife decided to have three fish tacos with a sauce on the side. Her food didn't came up with a sauce so we ask for it and after making us look like idiots (like why are we asking for a sauce) they give us sauce in a squeeze bottle which is hot red sauce and they give it out with every order. So we thought we are probably wrong. After she finished her taco, the girl came and said oh I forget to give you the fish sauce and hand us over the green fish taco sauce. That made the whole experience very sour. read more

I wanted to love this place. The photos looked awesome and I was excited when I showed up. I ordered the carne asada burrito ( I have tried a lot of carne asada) and this one was unfortunately at the bottom of the list. I was completely flavorless and was nothing near what I was expecting. It also seemed and bit pricey. I am usually happy to pay up if I think I am getting a good meal but this meal left me unsatisfied and my pockets empty. My dad ordered the carne asada tacos and not surprisingly these were on the same level. The chips and salsa were the best part of this meal. With the amount of choices of good mexican food in Flagstaff I fear I will not be back. read more

Carne asada tacos are pretty good, tried the tamales soaked in sauce, bland, biggest waste of money I've spent on food :/

We brought our entire soccer team after a game for dinner. I am impressed at both the quality of food and speed of service. Adding 30+ guests at once couldn't be an easy task but the staff was great and the food was amazing. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area. read more
