I tried to exchange 3 bras that after trying them on at home were just a little too big. I'm 6 days past the 60 day return window... I was hoping to exchange for a different size. Bras not worn tags still on. I was told there was nothing they could do. I just got home and read the receipt that clearly states, "After 60 days, returns with proof of purchase receive merchandise credit for current selling price". Found out about Soma through a co worker in 2017 and have been shopping here ever since then. I wish we had one that was closer but I'm more than happy to drive the 25 miles to get here. The young ladies who work here, including the manager, are incredibly kind, knowledgeable & patient. I've gained a substantial amount of weight over the last 5 years and finding a bra that's comfortable & functional is very difficult but they've always made it such a great experience and I always leave feeling grateful. Brought my daughter in who needed assistance trying to get fitted with bras. Worked with Elizabeth who was absolutely wonderful. She is so knowledgeable and patient, and kind and never made her once feel uncomfortable about her size. She brought several bras and explained the difference between them and fitted her perfectly. It was an incredibly positive experience and I would highly recommend Working with Elizabeth if you have some difficulty figuring out sizes or needing to find a particular bra. This business must not care about customers all at! I had a bad experience, left a review and received a response to call so that they had the opportunity to make things right. When I called the number it was just a customer service call center, whom had no idea on what was going on and was confused. I thought the number provided to me was a direct line to someone that would like more of an explanation on my experience. I explained my experience to the call center agent who wrote down everything on my behalf. I have not received any follow up of any kind, nor has any one tried to reach out and contact me even though I was told that someone would get in contact with me. Service is not good. This is the third time I have visited this store within 2 years, and I experienced the same treatment. Indifference. I was not greeted nor did they ask if I needed help. However the two salespersons that were there, one was helping a customer and was very helpful and friendly to her, but I was ignored. I finally asked where I could find what I was looking for, and salesperson # 1 had to stop what she was doing ( nothing) at counter and show me. She was inconvenienced. Then I proceeded walk up to counter to purchase my items and salesperson #1 at counter was too "busy" to ring me up and asked salesperson #2 to ring me up. Again I inconvenienced them. Salesperson #2 came to the counter and took her time ringing me up. Her only conversation she had with me was to ask if I had shopped with them before? Which meant did I have an account. Yes I do. I knew they had the potential to be helpful because I witnessed how they treated another customer, very helpful and nice. Oh yes, I visit on Monday's because of my day off, and each time their primary concern is re-locating merchandise and changing out racks or tables and hanging things in new spots. I gave this store three chances because I understand things happen. However the third time, within 2 years I realized it is a practice. One salesperson I recognized from before. read more

Before leaving the house today, I checked the Store hours on both Google and on Forum Soma Store Website. Google said that Soma Forum close time at 8pm and the Forum Website said it was close at 9pm. Just to be safe I went to Soma Store at 7.30pm. The minute I walked in, the store clerk instead of greeting me, rudely said that they were closed. I mentioned the store hours only said 8pm but she said no, we closed at 7.30pm. It was a few other customers shopping in the store at that time but she refused to help me stating that they closed. We drove all the way from OC to make it before 8pm. Worst service I ever experienced and who heard of the store closing at 7.30pm on a Saturday. Finally put me in a room to try on and they would promptly return to evaluate, NOT. They never came back so I got dressed and left, never to return. The staff are rude with bad attitude. This was my second time there , first time I had to wait 20 min to get noticed by their staff to pick up my order. They did not even notice apologies for had me waiting , no greeting either. Gave my bag to me and turned around. Next time was today. I asked the woman working there if they have any comfortable bras on sale as they do on website. She said: well, this is a broad definition and very subjective and left to take care of another customer. There were 2 other staff there but none of them came over to assist. The first one came back after 10 min and with an attitude said again: to respond to your earlier question a comfortable bra is very subjective!" I said , yes you already said that. She showed me one style and left. Never asked what size I was looking for, or if I need any more help. I picked up something and went and stayed behind a customer who was talking to one of the staff for 5 min, waiting to pay. There were another staff at the cash register but she never acknowledged that I was waiting to pay . There was another one hanging cloths . She kept doing what she was doing. The woman infront of me kept changing her mind and after 5 min decided to go back and look at other styles. I was still waiting . 3 staff seeing me waiting now for 7 min now and none of them acknowledge me waiting . I just left the items I picked next to the counter and left. I don't recommend this store. Looks like it's being run by staff who hate their job and the customer. I just go back to on line shopping. Just a wish of time and drive to go to that store. read more

Going to shop for a bra after having two kids, my confidence was already low. While trying on bras for my newly shaped body, the Soma associate asks me "I don't normally ask this question, but are you expecting?" Seriously? This is the reason women have body confidence issues, the fact that people have to ask or comment on everyone's bodies. They know how to juggle many guests at once and Andrea made sure I was helped and checked up on me in the dressing room several times if I needed a different size, etc. I left with three new bras and a free panty! Disappointing experience today. All the staff were either on register or doing go-backs. I overheard a manager complaining to staff about piles at the register. I think customers should be a higher priority than putting things away. Nobody greeted me and I was in the store for 15 minutes. I've never been to a specialty bra store without being greeted within the first 5 minutes until today. I was the only younger woman there and it seemed like the only people getting helped in the store were middle aged/older women. I was totally ignored, nobody attempted to engage me and would walk past me avoiding eye contact to put items away. Also, the selection of strapless bras was not great, so I wouldn't have been able to find what I was looking for without assistance. A great alternative to Victoria Secret and personally, I think Soma carries a much superior product. I've purchased here once before but today, I made another run to update my wardrobe. Christine helped me with my purchase and she was pretty nice. The other gals that have helped me in the past were much more friendly and personable but she was at least pleasant. If you've never been properly measured for the right sized undergarments, stop in here to get yourself measured. I used to wear Victoria Secret bras...no longer! The Soma bras are so much better (and much more suited to a figure that doesn't look like supermodel). The staff is very helpful, very friendly, and encourage you to try on every style to find your perfect fit. They also have a great line of bamboo-based pajamas that are the most comfortable things I've ever worn to bed! They are super soft! And...they give back. They collect new and gently used bras (not just their brand) and donate them to shelters for women in need! read more

This is the first time I've been to this location. Only place I've been able to find good quality, great looking bras. As a size 36ddd-g, depending on my weight, it's hard to find a GOOD bra. The sales associate that helped me today was SO helpful and polite. She did amazing multi tasking between customers and checking to see that everyone had been helped. The worst customer service I've ever experienced in a retail store. The sales person was condescending and dismissive. For starters I had a return and the sales person at the register was checking out the person in front of me. By my watch she spent over 25 minutes carefully and slowly folding each garment with tissue paper and placing them in a box. Twice the sales person said "thank you for your patience" (in a cold tone) to me as she continued to slowly check out the customer in front of me. Clearly I was beginning to show signs of frustration but kept my cool. I had bought (4) under garments at the Soma Forum Carlsbad store. I found one style uncomfortable and not wearable. I was in line to return one of the four still with all stags attached. They asked me for a receipt that I no longer had and the sales person said there was a 60 day return policy. Yes they had a record of my buying this garment on their computer. I said can't I just exchange it for another garment? She waved her hand to a $19 rack of bras that I could exchange for my $48 bra. Full disclosure I had bought buy one full price and get the second one half off. It's the attitude that really got to me. I said I can't wear the bra so I might as well give it away. She said, "yes, why don't you do that!" I won't be back to this store even though I've been buying Soma undergarments for year.... in another city! read more

I love their pajamas and bras but I am having trouble with the quality. 4 out of 5 pajamas and robe I purchased have holes and need to be sewn. Two were found after I got home from the store. I didn't take them back knowing they did not have more in my size. After a few washes the our two now have holes on the seam. Frustrated I have to take them to the alteration lady to fix them properly. Having to spend more money and Soma is more expensive than Victoria's Secret. Not sure if I will buy anything else from Soma! Sad. read more

When I travel to the San Diego area (from Idaho) I visit Soma Intimates in Carlsbad. I bought a few things this last November (2018). Everyone is always very helpfaul and friendly. If that don't have a size they always will order it for me and shipping to my home is always free. I have one complaint. I purchased about 4-5 pair of the invisible seam panties. I don't like them at all. I put a pair in with my leggings and even though they have the silicone to keep them in place they still seem to bunch up. Looked unflattering to say the least. I'll still shop at Soma for certain things but never will buy panties there again. read more
