My wife has wanted to try this boutique for a long time, we have friends that love it so and we went. Tons of parking at the forum shopping center. As soon as you walk in, you feel this incredible energy and beauty. Every item is made with a fabric that is wearable breathable and beautiful. And different that's what made it so great it didn't look like every other athletic boutique. My life got some pants that are a fabric that are part corduroy part cotton they're just super cool and a T-shirt. That is the most comfortable T-shirt to work out in she will ever have. Worst experience ever -- total waste of money! I was so excited to shop at the ALO store in Carlsbad for the first time. I bought a tank top and two shorts -- spent over $270 thinking I was investing in "premium quality." Guess what? After one gentle wash, the tank and one pair of shorts were completely ruined -- torn seams, frayed edges, total garbage. For a brand that markets itself as "luxury activewear," this was beyond disappointing. Feels like I got an overstocked, low-quality batch that should have never been on display. ALO, if you're charging luxury prices, at least stand behind your products. Never shopping here again -- save your money and your frustration. read more

Called the store to make sure they had an item in stock after a different store told me they did. They confirmed they had 2 in stock of the item. They even made sure I wanted the hoodie not the crewneck and I arrive at the store (after driving 45 min) and they don't have the item. Beyond frustrating as I went through the work to call them to ensure they had it before I drove. They couldn't even offer compensation for a mistake on their end!! I plan on sticking to Lululemon for my "luxury athletic wear" as they have better customer service. Don't recommend going to this location and don't plan on coming back. read more

I purchased a gift card a few days before Christmas and gave it to my niece ON Christmas day. When she went to use it last week there was NOTHING on it. When we called ALO customer service it said it was used by me to buy "ivory slippers" for 77.00 well those slippers are 175.00 and so if someone bought those slippers for 77.00 I would think this was an internal scam. That's an employee price for those things. Unfortunately customer service didn't rectify the situation they referred me to my credit card which did stop the payment for that. The service is amazing, I have been in multiple times since they have been open and I definitely feel like all the bad reviews are from people who feel entitled, which is very upsetting. Recently came in to make my first purchase (I'm a Lulu girl) I spent about 400$ to get a few things to try out and see if I liked them. A few days later (10 days to be precise) I wanted to come back in to exchange the bra for one size up (it being my first purchase I wasn't quite familiar with the product and how each line fits), I also had notice that product had a factory malfunction, not a big deal I just figured I'd go in and get it swapped. The manager said that at Alo they do NOT accept size swaps, and being that it was damaged (definitely not from my accord and even if it was, I had it for 10 days; let's be more confident in our material) there was no way to exchange for another size. Manager wouldn't talk to me and sent her worker back to again tell me there was nothing further they could do. I took it to UTC mall, they opened my profile and were extremely kind and helpful. Don't know how long this manager has worked there but you can't really make your own store specific policies. Won't be returning to this location and I really hope corporate looks into this manager. Date and time of incident was 9/1/24 at around 1:45pm. Happy to chat more if need be. Hope this doesn't happen to any new customers of Alo. read more

Alo has some nice clothing. My wife and daughters felt this was a Lululemon upgrade.... We will no longer support this business. The service there is horrible. The women hang out behind the counter chatting but don't come out to offer help. This is not from one visit but from at least 8 visits. I bought stuff there for my wife and daughters before Xmas and felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman where she was judged and didn't get service in Beverly Hills. On out last visit on 12/28/2023, they had these black and white sneakers on display everywhere but no price tag on any them. Here was the final straw: My daughter bought my wife a Scholar Hooded Sweater in Black for Xmas. It was a Large. My wife put it on for 10 seconds when we opened gifts. It was too big. We went in on 12/28 to exchange it. We also selected several outfits as we are traveling to Europe so we would have spent over $1,000 dollars. The woman at the counter looked at the Hooded Sweater and accused us of wearing it and said it was used and they would not be able to resell it. She said she could not take it back. This was gift wrapped at the store, presented on Xmas and 3 days later we try to return this new item. We were offered a customer service phone number but the decision was made that we could not return or exchange the item. Humiliated we left the items we were going to buy and went to Lululemon and Outerknown and spent our money there instead. When we got home we gathered all out Alo stuff from 3 closets and took it to Goodwill. Alo is not a brand we will support any longer. I am a global marketing executive. The selection of styles and colors they have are hard to find anywhere else with the same quality. Highly recommend shopping Alo and definitely at this specific location. Employees are not as friendly as the one in UTC location. I wasn't even greeted by seem to be a manager standing close to the entrance. She looked at me eye to eye but said nothing! Passed by two employees chatting multiple times (one of them was the same lady that was by the entrance when i walked in) and was never asked once if i needed help! The store was not even busy at all when i was there. There were literally 2-3 people including myself.
