This yoga studio is a good find. It's located in downtown Vista, in a cute little area. The vibe of the studio and the people who go there are very welcoming. The few classes that I went to were advanced and led my experienced instructors. It's a traditional yoga studio, no mirrors on the wall or neon lights, just a focus on practicing yoga. There are lots of props to use and their prices are reasonable. I was worried about parking, but so far, I haven't had any issues. I definitely recommend if you are an experienced yogi. read more

I've been coming here for about 4 years after moving here from the east coast. As a yogi who's been practicing for 30 years, of all the studios I've visited in north county, this is the most authentic studio that adheres to the core foundations of yoga AND is a beautiful space and community to practice in. I'm one of those people that must confess that Yoga has changed my life...however, it's not any type of Yoga. I can strongly say that Yin (feminine) Yoga and Restorative Yoga are my vibration. I was in need of a new studio to practice as my yoga studio was sold, my main instructor moved back to LA and the owners to Kauai. In the meantime, a new owner is prepping the former studio for new things... Much like trying a new hair stylist, you have to start a new sometimes and try something different, hoping, maybe praying you will not be disappointed. This studio is busy, with a strong following. I started out with a two class trial. I wanted to specifically try the Yin class here and something I had never heard of before called MELT! Good news is MELT literally melted my heart, it was love at first reflex. Balls, foam rollers, all your sore muscles just melt away...this is a natural way to work with pain management. Great news is the Yin class here and all other classes deemed "slow" one can attend weekly for a flat rate of $45 per month. It's hard to find a better value The room is full! In my process over the last year, I have decided to train in a 200 hour program after the new year. An early New Years resolution (they should be healthy after all). And, I'm a planner. In the end, I would always choose a studio over a gym environment, it's more intimate, spiritual and the instructors are client centered. They started with roots and they grew branches here. I have been following this studio since for a while on IG. I came across a post yesterday for a free class so I was excited to finally check it out. I know parking can be bad in the village and I was not sure how many people would be in the class so I got there early. It seemed dark inside when I arrived so I thought maybe the instructor had not arrived. I saw some movement so I went to see if I could go in since it was cold out. The lights actually went all the way off and I could see people laying down for savasana. I'm glad I didn't try to go in! The previous class seemed popular. Anyways, the space is great and the instructor-Lisette-I think her name is-was wonderful. She gave recommendations through the class which was appreciated. She also gave a quick shoulder massage which is something I haven't really had since COVID. I really enjoyed it! I was thinking of showering after the class, but I didn't want to wash off the sweet lavender oil or whatever she put in her hands-or the good vibes! The manager-Mariah- told me there's some more yummy classes on Sunday mornings. I will definitely do that! And stop by the coffee shop next door afterwards! read more

I came to the Vista Way studio a few years ago while I was looking for a yoga teacher certification program, and I never left. Yoga Branch is my 'yoga home'. There's such a terrific energy and vibe among the regular practitioners, as well as a genuine enthusiasm to meet new yogis looking for something new. Lisette, the owner, is amazing. If you believe in the 10,000 hour rule, you'll quickly see that she's mastered her art through years of training and practice. She has a very soothing presence, gives easy-to-follow cues, offers perfect adjustments and always has excellent suggestions for alternatives if you're not a super flexible yogi like me. All of the instructors I've had the pleasure to practice with at YB are also great! The Yoga Teacher Training (YTT 200) is a fantastic program. It has moved my yoga practice and understanding to a much higher level. It's a long and in-depth series of classes. It is not a 'quick fix' to a certification. It's intended to give the student the time and experience to become the best teacher they can be. The studio is always clean, and the equipment (bolsters, blocks, spare mats if you forget yours, straps, etc.) are new and refreshed from the Manduka product line. The 'extra' classes and workshops hosted by other yogis are wonderful too. I love Shelly's Thanksgiving class, for example. I highly recommend Yoga Branch and Lisette's teacher training. Came here as part of a birthday gift from a friend. My friend has been coming for two years now and loves it! I had shown some interest in coming and she surprised me with a class! I'm so grateful I was able to join her today for the slow flow class with Diana. The instructor was great and her instructions were easy to follow. She had a great personality too! Lots of opportunities to make the stretches easier or more challenging. I appreciated that because I could work at the level I needed (I've been out of practice for years now). Breathe. Reset. This is my home studio, and I'm a regular at the Tuesday night Gentle Flow with Lisette. I'm pretty picky about where I practice yoga and she is the best teacher in North County. The energy in the studio is wonderful, and she is a really good instructor. Gently directing the flow to ease us into the peak pose intuitively. Options to go as easy or challenging as I am feeling that night (usually easier). Nice massage at the end and music. read more

Attended for the first time yesterday and I was thrilled with the outcome. Lisa was amazing. I slept for 8 straight hours for the first time in ages. I've gone to classes at the gym and hated them. I left feeling even more stressed because I could not do the exercises and it seems the instructors just wanted to show off what they could do. I'm updating my review because I received a nice message from Lissette explaining that they were having phone problems and apologizing. She even offered me a free class. I'll give it a shot and see how it goes. 5 times!!! 5 times in 5 days I tried to contact the studio. I went in in person on Tuesday. Door was locked and sign said class was in session. Nobody was there. So, I messaged them on their website. No response. I called and left a message on Wednesday. No call back. Called again on Friday and left a message. No response. Left them a Facebook message this morning. Somebody saw it.... No response!!!! Horrible customer service. Lost my business before they even got it read more

Came here with my wife because she wanted to start a basic yoga course (they also have a location on 319 Broadway, in Vista) but had some questions. I asked the manager if we could just watch a course before trying it out. I was told by the manager that the students would "feel uncomfortable with a stranger watching them..." However, she was perfectly OK with me paying a fee and having the same "stranger" being an actual part of the course as an introduction. This simply told me that she was just after my money. The second issue I had was with the staff here being unable to answer SIMPLE questions. For example I asked (and about 3 other people at different times) "what is the difference between the Vinyasa Flow and the Gentle?"; and I got a non-relevant or long-winded reply that had nothing to do with the question I asked, much less being given a solid answer. Thirdly , upon further observation of the staff/teachers here, I noticed what appeared to be a, overall, heavy socially/politically left leaning liberal mindset among them. I bring this up because I really felt that I was being overtly judged for obviously not appearing to relate fully with this group. One example of this is that when my wife asked to try out a course (after I agreed to just pay the fee) I asked for a paper receipt. The staff instead wanted my e-mail address to send me a paperless receipt. I informed the manager that I did not wish to give my e-mail address out of spam e-mail concerns and that I would rather have a paper receipt. She just turned away from me and coldly stated "well then you get no receipt!" I do get that many people nowadays want to help protect the environment via going paperless. However, there are ways to provide paper receipts and still achieve this goal. - Ever heard of recycled paper? My point here is that both electronic and paper options for receipts should be available regardless of staff/teachers' personal beliefs. Furthermore, I do firmly believe that these people have the right to be who they are. However, my ongoing experience with people like this, to include the ones at this venue, is that they often preach "tolerance" when they encounter other people who have similar or non-opposing (but different) beliefs and demeanors; but then they become quite intolerant, even rude or passive-aggressive, with those who appear to have opposing social/political views, demeanors, or life-styles. Is this appropriate for a "business" that CHOOSES to serve a PUBLIC and DIVERSE community? -- I think not!!! And I have the same opinion of business venues that refuse to serve specific segments of the general population due to their (for example) personal religious beliefs. In the end, we just decided to leave, to have nothing further to do with these people, and find another and more broad minded venue. read more

While in town for the weekend my wife and I wanted to get in a yoga class after a long drive and feeling quite stiff. We arrived to the 10:30 Saturday morning class early to register and pay. The yoga instructor pointed us to the corner of the room where there was enough space available for both of us to set up. I went over to set up our space and was interrupted by a rude "Excuse Me". I was rudely told by another student that her friend might be coming so I can't have that spot. While we tried to explain we are here and her friend isn't she'll have to figure out another spot. Apparently another employee of the studio watched the entire exchange but didn't intervene. We were finished setting up and the woman's friend arrived. That woman turned to my wife and said can you ask your friend to move and my wife said "that's not my friend, she's my wife," the woman then said "your wife, your partner, your friend, whatever, can you please tell her to move." At which point my wife and I knew this was an establishment we did not want to do yoga in. We asked for our money back which was returned without hesitation while the one employee admittedly said she saw the exchange. They both complained about this particular student saying, "we're sorry about that, that student is always like that". So much for being a guest in a new studio. I can guarantee when you visit our studio in Las Vegas everyone experiences the power of peace and love. This studio is an EMBARRASSMENT to the practice of yoga. My wife is a very new student to yoga. Thank You God it wasn't her first experience. Extremely sad and disappointing. The quality of location was mediocre and there wasn't enough blocks and bolsters for all students. read more

I've been taking classes at yoga branch regularly/irregularly now for a year. This is the first moment I have sat down to write a long overdue GLOWING review OF Yoga Branch. It was originally Lisette, the owner, whose classes I took most frequently because of my work schedule. She is a great teacher who clearly has a depth of knowledge when it comes to yoga. I typically take her All Levels Flow and she can cater to a variety of levels among her class participants without too much over instruction which can get distracting sometimes. Additionally her class is always served up with the biggest Lisette smile! Currently it is Carla's class I've had the pleasure of taking the most now due to my work schedule. She is a beacon of NAMASTE, y'all! I run in hurried on Monday morning most of the time and Carla can whip my zen into shape. Her class seems like a tight knit group of ladies but not click-ish, welcoming of those of us who can't be a regular (but would love nothing more to be one day!). I have had the opportunity to take a sprinkling of classes with Vanessa and others. All of the yogis I encounter at Yoga Branch have been friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend! read more

Really, this studio and my experience in a short month has been phenomenal. The instructors are kind, caring, welcoming and sweet--they truly know their yoga knowledge and explain poses, incorporate relaxation and meditation into the class. There is no forcefulness about the poses, and very much encourage to listen to ones body. The vibe of the studio (I have only been to the Vista/Foothill studio yet) is relaxed, nice, sweet, not pretentious or snooty. Lisette was informative, quick to respond and kind in my inquisitive emails. The option for signing up for classes online and the plethora of options with their new expansion to the Vista Yoga Branch downtown, is great! I am thankful, my spirit, body and mind for this yoga studio and the people. Thank you! I would like to start my review with the admission that I would cross the Sahara Desert to practice with Lisette! I first practiced with her in 2004, and have been hooked ever since. She brings something so genuine and authentic to every yoga practice. I love the adjustments, and I am especially a big fan of her challenge classes. I have literally made it a point to go to every class offered at this studio, by every instructor, and they are all fantastic. I love the yin yoga...its a slow paced class in which you get to spend extra time in every pose. This is great because it gives your body time to relax into and go deep into your stretches, and you leave feeling so "unknotted". I'd venture to say that yin yoga is more therapeutic than massage. I love the yoga flow classes, I feel these classes are easy enough for a beginner and still have lots to offer the intermediates. The challenge classes are definitely for your more practiced yogi. But if you've been practicing for a while, and you're curious to see what level you can take your practice to, this is also a great class for you. Every instructor at this studio is great. You really can't go wrong here. I would definitely very highly recommend this place to friends, family and strangers alike. read more

I've been practicing at Yoga Branch for quite some time now and even though I practice at other studios as well I consider it my yoga home. There's always a good feeling vibe at the studio. And I always leave feeling better than when I arrived. Lisette Hart is probably one of the most experienced, well known, and respected yoga instructors in the San Diego area. She has an extensive knowledge about the many things that surround yoga and the practice of. Her classes are always well sequenced and many times have a nice theme. Shelly is also a wonderful teacher who puts together excellent classes. In addition she has a great sense of humor so a few chuckles will probably be included in your practice. Jonathan's challenge classes are there if you're looking to test your abilities. He can bring some pretty dynamic poses and transitions that even the most seasoned yogis would find difficult. The variety of classes is great- chair, thereputic, gentle, yin, slow flow, challenge, all levels flow, teacher training and stuff I don't know about. I go to the thereputic and gentle classes, usually at Vista Village. But there are plenty on more challenging classes for the rest of you! Especially with two studios to choose from.
