The workouts are definitely challenging, but in the best way--they leave you feeling stronger and accomplished every time. I also love that they mix things up by incorporating strength training, barre, and yoga into traditional Pilates, so every class feels fresh and engaging. I paid for services they did not honor per their agreement. This club does not value customer service, in any capacity. The first class I took with the lead instructor was not great. I being a beginner needed some guidance and the instructor was not helpful in any capacity. When I requested help, I got an eye roll & I was made to feel like I was a nuisance. Moving forward to booking additional classes as time progressed every class I attempted to book was always full . Granted it is a smaller studio and the parking is also very limiting which is also discouraging. After working out at other studios and gyms that they are much more accommodating and helpful then Club Pilates. Club Pilates in San Marcos is not worth the money at $30 a class. I also get a much better workout at other studios and gyms that are less. I asked to get a refund on the remainder of my class package I purchased and was told to go to other locations that are not convenient for me.

With so many new studios opening up, it also makes me pause and ask whether this membership is priced appropriately for the flexibility and cancellation experience.

I recommend doing a private class first, I didn't do one until later but did start with beginner. Vanessa is amazing. She makes you feel really comfortable and knows how to push and help each individual person she teaches. Class sizes max out at 4 people so you get a lot of constant individual attention and feed back. I go to the same classes and she is constantly mixing it up for us. I'm working muscles in my body that never get attention with normal workouts. Try this place out...you won't regret it!

There are multiple class options, however, my favorite is Barre because I feel like the workouts hit every part of my body. I feel so much stronger, and confident about my body than I have in a long time, especially as a woman in my 50s. I love the loud music and the overall vibe--it makes it fun (I often just want to dance lol) and keeps me motivated. Each instructor brings her own vibe and energy, which makes every class different so it is NEVER boring. And you are so busy trying to keep up with the moves (because you are not in any one position for very long) that the class zooms by and you are already finished with an amazing work-out! Boom! Everyone there is there to get their work-out ON and to have a little fun along the way! I feel stronger, fitter, and more confident than I have in a long time. Kelly, the newest member of the studio's teaching staff is a refreshing addition. Within 3 sessions with Alane I found noticeable relief in my pelvic floor and lower back and I was able to carry the adjustments I learned in training not only into my workouts but into my daily life. I highly recommend Modern Body Pilates to anyone looking to up their fitness game and/or find relief for reoccurring ailments. She is very unique in her teaching style and knowledge. She is conscientious of your form and uses little cues to help you remember. I'm still new to this Pilates world so having an instructor like Molly be so welcome and helpful is nice. She showed me how to use the mega reformer and really helped make sure the class was in good form. The class went by faster than usual Pilates classes I've taken. Maybe it was because it was a Lagree class, but still don't know how different all the classes are. I'm looking forward to the next class to take here! I adore the staff here because they are honest and up front. They will work with you so you're not overcharged and are very understanding if something comes up, just talk to them! They are way more reasonable in price and flexibility than other boutique gyms I have been too. Their class schedule can get booked, but people do cancel within the last 24 hours...so the waitlist options helps. They also have options I also heard them offer an upset client to call if they have a class that was last minute wide open (which was very sweet). They also have a free intro class. Take the class and I'm sure you will be hooked.

You do have to schedule your classes in advance, but like others said, you can go on the waitlist and you usually get in. Most of the instructors have been very good and easy to understand. My only complaint/concern is I am in my 60s and the studio in Oceanside has music playing in the background. My other studio solely focused on quiet time and being in touch with your body, so it was much easier to follow the instructors and concentrate on the exercise rather than trying to listen to the instructors through music playing. That is the only thing I would like to see change, perhaps if the music could be turned way down or nonexistent, at least for the reformer one classes. Other than that, everything about the studios seems clean, organized, and I hope to be a member for many years to come!
