If you are interested in trying Pilates or have tons of experience...this is the place for you! I was a complete newbie 2 months ago...trying to get into shape post pregnancy, I was working out really well on my own, but wanted to sculpt some lean muscles. I found this studio on yelp, it's a farther drive from a lot of the other studios from me, but loved the reviews. I recommend doing a private class first, I didn't do one until later but did start with beginner. Vanessa is amazing. She makes you feel really comfortable and knows how to push and help each individual person she teaches. Class sizes max out at 4 people so you get a lot of constant individual attention and feed back. I go to the same classes and she is constantly mixing it up for us. To say I love Pilates V isn't really enough! I purchased a one-month unlimited package and was nervous because I hadn't been able to workout for 3 months prior because of an injury. Vanessa was aware of my injury and helped me work around it while still having a hard workout. But really Pilates is hard, if someone says Pilates isn't hard they are not doing it right. The best thing about Pilates V is of course Vanessa, she is the best instructor I've ever had, but also the small class sizes. Usually there are only 5 people in a class but almost all of the classes I took (17 total) it was just me or one or two other women. I would give ten stars if I could! Love Pilates V! read more

Vanessa is the best! She's funny, mixes it up and pushes it just enough. I had very little pilates experience and came wanting to get back into shape after having my baby and getting neck pain doing almost anything else. I need to start by saying, I really didn't think I could ever do something like Pilates. I had a spinal fusion years ago and suffered chronic pain with substantial mobility issues in my back. But Vanessa has completely changed my outlook and my body by showing me how Pilates can be adapted to my situation. I have been going to Pilates V for a little over a year and I can't believe what a difference it has made. I have never been flexible or particularly strong, so Pilates has really helped me understand my body and build strength slowly, yet consistently. My flexibility and core strength has improved immensely, and it is so encouraging to see the progress I've made in only a year. Moves that were difficult for me a year ago are now a breeze. And as an instructor, Vanessa is knowledgeable, thorough, and patient. I started as an absolute beginner, so Vanessa is quick to adjust if I'm doing anything incorrectly and is constantly motivating me to improve. I love the small class size as it provides for more specialized attention from the instructor and I can feel free to ask questions at any time. I started seeing Vanessa at Pilates V after getting the okay from my MD to start a slow rehab process post neck surgery. She was really patient with me and after a few months of private lessons I was able to switch to doing the regular classes. I highly recommend getting in and taking a class. I have spent years struggling with back and shoulder issues, a foot surgery and then years later hip flexor injuries shortly after taking up long distance running. I'm forever grateful to Vannesa for showing me the Pilates way and teaching me how to make that mind body connection I was missing all those years. At 35 I'm not without my occasional ache or pain but I know without Vannesa and Pilates I would not feel nearly as amazing and pain free as I do currently. Love Pilates V. I have been going for about 3 years or so now 5-6 days/week. I'm always learning new ways to work by body here. Before I found Pilates V, I would jump from one exercise place/type after another burn out and stop exercising for a while. Now If I miss a few days it just does not feel right. My body is more tone. I have lost weight and kept it off. My shoulder pain is less often and nearly gone. My body is not perfect but, I like to eat and drink wine. What can I say? I have been going to Pilates V for a little over a month and I am addicted! I started doing Privates with Vanessa because I did not want to be a bumbling idiot in a class full of people who knew what they were doing. I also had not done Pilates since 2010. The first private I had was great Vanessa was so down to earth and really welcoming. We went over basic moves and she really helped me figure out what I was doing. I never know what I am doing and can almost guarantee I will mess it up. The next day boy was I sore, but it was a great sore. I felt sore in places I had never felt before. I was hooked after that first session. I started group classes and I really like how every class is different and its for everyone. Vanessa always challenges you but doesn't make you feel bad if you take breaks (I like breaks) I feel great after every class and cannot wait for the next one. Vanessa works with each person in the group if they need correcting and is such a enthusiastic and fun teacher! I do not know how I have gone so long without her kicking my butt. Your core is calling...and telling you to GO TO PILATES V! I have been working out with Vanessa for almost 5 months now and my body has changed SO much! My core strength, my thighs, my abs, my butt, my arms...even the chicken flap (tricep) part of my arms have tightened up a ton! I have been to 4 different pilates studios, and Pilates V is by far the best. Vanessa is super knowledgeable but not intimidating. If you are looking for a place to get a good work out, the RIGHT way, and have a lot of fun while doing it, then this is the place for you. I love that Pilates V is owned and run by a local, and that it's a small, intimate space with really cool top-of-the-line equipment. There are never over 6 people in class, and with some classes only 3, so Vanessa is able to give you personal attention to make sure you are getting the most out of every movement. This personal attention has been so helpful for me because I have a back injury. I've been to other studios where the instructor pushed and pushed me to reach my max, only to end up injuring me more. I started going to Vanessa last May, recovering from 1 1/2 years in wheelchair with badly broken leg. My doctor thought Pilates would be a great from of physical therapy. It is wonderful.
