I took the introductory class in the Desert area and decided the passport membership was what works for me. I live most of the time in the desert and the summers in Oceanside. You do have to schedule your classes in advance, but like others said, you can go on the waitlist and you usually get in. Most of the instructors have been very good and easy to understand. My only complaint/concern is I am in my 60s and the studio in Oceanside has music playing in the background. My other studio solely focused on quiet time and being in touch with your body, so it was much easier to follow the instructors and concentrate on the exercise rather than trying to listen to the instructors through music playing. That is the only thing I would like to see change, perhaps if the music could be turned way down or nonexistent, at least for the reformer one classes. Other than that, everything about the studios seems clean, organized, and I hope to be a member for many years to come! read more

Highlights: clean and well maintained equipment, informed and friendly staff, educated and engaging trainers. Prices are average for what Pilates classes will cost, but their have a lot of classes for you to choose from at all times of the weekday and weekend. Things to note: READ THE INFORMATION THEY PROVIDE! They have lots of helpful information posted in studio, handouts for you to take home, and a clear website to help get you started. I adore the staff here because they are honest and up front. They will work with you so you're not overcharged and are very understanding if something comes up, just talk to them! They are way more reasonable in price and flexibility than other boutique gyms I have been too. Their class schedule can get booked, but people do cancel within the last 24 hours...so the waitlist options helps. They also have options I also heard them offer an upset client to call if they have a class that was last minute wide open (which was very sweet). They also have a free intro class. Take the class and I'm sure you will be hooked. read more

I love Club Pilates. This one, though, was my least favorite of all the Club Pilates studios I have visited. It sorta felt dark and heavy, and I was struck by the lack of established rapport between the instructors and students. I'm used to more of a fun back and forth interaction. I've only been here twice though, so it's entirely possible that these were anomalies. The sparkling ray of sunshine was the gal working the front desk early evening last Thursday. Love my Friday afternoons with Randi! This studio is one of the few fitness studios that has a Friday afternoon class. Randi is always on point with her instructions, which is impressive given that she spends most of the class rambling about her life. Her musings make me feel like I'm listening to a podcast and makes the class fly by. :) Try their free intro class and stick to the level 1 classes for a while to learn the movements. The level 1.5 and 2 classes are totally doable for all fitness levels, but the pace is faster, so you risk injury if you don't get a good handle on the fundamentals first. It is a bit pricey, but reformer Pilates classes are much smaller than other group fitness classes, and you get your own reformer and space, so the premium is justified. Pilates is great for core strengthening and whole body stability. I also lift weights at F45 and cardio at OTF. The core exercises in those studios are so easy because I do so much core work here. read more

Life-Changing Experience at Club Pilates O'Side! I was initially recommended to try Pilates to help with sciatica, but my journey took on a whole new meaning after a car accident in 2022. I've been dealing with two bulging discs and constant back pain since then, and my physical therapist told me, "Keep doing Pilates--it's the best thing for your body." I couldn't agree more! Club Pilates O'Side has been nothing short of life-changing. Since starting, I've experienced little to no back pain most of the time--a huge improvement in my quality of life. The instructors are absolutely amazing--knowledgeable, supportive, and always willing to help you make adjustments for your body's needs. The scheduling system works well if you plan ahead. Booking a couple of weeks out ensures you get the classes you want, and even if you're one or two on the waitlist, you'll usually get in. If you're looking for a positive, sustainable way to improve your physical health and reduce pain, I can't recommend Club Pilates O'Side enough! I took a free class there and was so excited to begin to work out in that environment. The day after I signed up I tried to schedule a class however EVERY SINGLE CLASS that worked with my schedule was full. When I called about the situation they informed me that they could work me into a class and they would let me know which class I could join. That does not work for me, I feel strongly that exercise should work with my schedule and that I should not have to work around their schedule as I do not have that flexibility. When I told them that would not work they pretty much said Too Bad and then proceeded to charge my credit card $197 for nothing. They called it a "processing fee". I have disputed the charge but to no avail. It appears that I will have to accept that I have been robbed but I hope this will help keep someone else from being cheated. read more

I had my intro Sunday and decided to do the 8 credit membership for $200 with a must 3 month commitment and I'm very disappointed. I got onto a waitlist on Sunday after I joined, for Tuesdays class, got notified 20 MINUTES BEFORE that I had gotten into the class this morning(the day of the class).I have a life and I'm sure everyone does to so I cannot just be in an outfit for Pilates and not to mention I live 20 minutes away already. I lost a credit to a class I did not go to because I was notified ONLY 20 MINUTES BEFORE, NOT AN HOUR, 20 MINUTES. Yes staff is all friendly but doesn't make up for this unfortunately. Like many of the other reviews, the classes and some of the instructors are great. However, the scheduling for this place is awful. Agree with the other reviews. The waitlist system is ridiculous and you only get in half the time. The problem is when they notify or don't even notify you that you are off at the last minute and then charge you $15 for not being there. I was even charged $15 when I did go to a class. I was able to get that one reversed but what a hassle. They are intentionally over selling contracts knowing the classes are booked out a month in advance. They don't tell you about the waitlist until after you have signed the contract. It's a pricey studio for not being able to actually plan. I'm switching to a class pass so I have other options. read more

Starting the review to say the instructors and classes are really great. HOWEVER, you can't get into any of them. This is a very pricey studio and I signed up for the unlimited membership at over $200 a month. There are literally NO open classes to get into within a 2 week period because they are all booked. They have a waitlist system which is totally ridiculous and I probably get in through that 50% of the time. I don't typically plan my workouts weeks in advance and that seems like what you have to do to guarantee a spot. If I'm paying premium price for a fitness studio I want to go when I want to and not have to change my plans on a moments notice if a spot opens up. Oh and several times I get notified 30 min before class that I'm off the waitlist and can't make it and they charge me $10. So infuriating! read more

This was the worst scheduling model of any gym I have ever joined. They know when signing you up they cannot accommodate their members. I heard someone complaining to the instructor but they just gaslit her and told her why their model makes sense- I didn't say anything but no they over book and don't accommodate. The waitlist way of booking your credits can be very inconvenient if you have commitments that need planning . I did not know of the waitlist system until after I had signed the contract. A front desk person was very rude in their tone when explaining that I need to book my 8 credits for the month and the waitlist will open up . When I asked how much advance notice would i get it could be 2 hrs..... I think they know it's a hassle and that's why they get defensive about it. Class and instructor thumbs up . read more

Be 100% certain you want to commit to a high priced Pilates studio like Club Pilates. If you do, choose the unlimited package if you can afford the $200+/mo. membership fee. Still doesn't change how hard it is to get imto a class of your own unique choosing. Regardless, there are no roll over classes if you are waitlisted and never get in, and if you book and do not show, they charge you a $15 fee. Great teachers and friendly staff, and yet some felt 'militant' in their teaching style. Seems this franchise benefits Corporate more than than its' members. read more

Well I went by today at 3:30pm to check them out and they were closed. Not sure what their hours are just yet. Left a voice message hope to hear from them. I originally gave Club Pilates a 2 start review (could have been better) At 6:00 pm I received a text from the regional Manager Andrea, asking if she could talk to me about the rating I gave them. I was happy to talk with her. Unfortunately that conversation changed my rating to 1 star NOT GOOD. She stated the instructors were at lunch (3:30 pm) I suggested perhaps a note on the door stating when they would return, would be helpful. After all they are a new business and trying to increase their cliental. She made excuses that not all their signage had arrived. (do they not have pen and paper?) And stated I could check their website for their hours. The website states their hours are 0900- to 5 am the Following day. Her response was" obviously that is incorrect" I told her I understand they are new and was willing to give them a chance. A simply apology for the inconvenience of not being open when I stopped by and an invitation to come by again would have won me over. But she was defensive and full of excuses! She preceded to say that we are probably not a good fit! WOW! This woman knows nothing about business Acumen. And lost a potential customer. I've been a member of Club Pilates for a little over a month now and I couldn't be happier with my decision to join. All of the instructors have been great. They all bring something different to the table. I really like the variety I get... some days you feel relaxed stretching out the kinks and aches in your body and some days you'll feel like you got your butt kicked from a challenging workout. I also appreciate that cleaning solution and towels are handed out to each person after class to clean up the reformer and other equipment used. I think anyone who is looking to slowly get back into a routine of exercise should try Pilates out. read more

Found out about the new studio opening end of last year. The officially opened there doors in December and I signed up for there unlimited package membership. It's great because I have multiple studio options and times to choose from all day. Each class is different and all the instructors have been amazing! I have knee pain at time so Pilates has allowed me to get stronger in other ways. So grateful to have found this studio and will continue to go back and see even more results. read more

I joined this studio right when it opened and I've really been enjoying the classes. My only complaint would be that the classes (at least the ones I want) tend to fill up quickly so you have to plan far in advance to make sure you get a spot. Therefore flexibility is limited such as making last minute changes. Also since its a new studio they don't have the more specialized class types (like ones with cardio) yet but I've been told they are planning to add them on in the future. read more

Members and personnel at the new Oceanside Club Pilates are courteous, kind, and respectful. It is a peaceful & clean studio environment. Each of the instructors brings something unique to their sessions and this helps with variety, technique, and the mind-body connection (so far worked with Lenore, Aiden, Natalie, Linette, Laura, Sarah, and Babette). Exercises can be modified, which is a must for me. Their fluidity and range of motion enable me to strengthen and improve without any high-impact jarring. I suffer from an old injury (neck issues = arthritis, spurs, stenosis, spondylosis, etc....you name it, lol). You are encouraged to listen to YOUR body. This NO PRESSURE environment works for all ages, body types, and ability levels. You're encouraged to mindfully push yourself. If your prefer competition with others (for motivation), this probably isn't the best fit. Dues??? The membership dues aren't cheap but you truly "get what you pay for". It is easy to see the investment made in top-notch instructors and equipment. In my opinion, you need both...especially quality instructors who need to be compensated fairly for their efforts! A few less trips to Starbucks / eating out and it's doable for most. This is honestly the first time I have enjoyed exercising. I am relatively new to pilates (just over 20 classes under my belt) and making a commitment to prioritize my membership. I crave going to class and feel "this is it". It's an investment in my overall health, and I leave each session with a true sense of gratitude and joy. read more

All of the instructors are kind and mindful of injuries or differences in mobility, giving alternatives for nearly every move that we try. I love that there is a studio to close to my home, it makes it easy to get up and start off the day with some mindful movement. I have been attending for over a year and have loved learning how to use the reformer. I don't stick to a particular day or time, though I prefer mornings, and the instructors do not disappoint. The scheduling system is sometimes difficult to work with as there are only 12 reformers, and the schedule gets booked up as I can't try to schedule until the 4th week. It's odd because even the waitlist will have 4 or more people on it and when I get to a class, we often have a vacant machine or more. Not sure how this works. I get 8 classes a month and will often not be able to schedule the first or second week and have to cram all 8 classes in the remaining 2 weeks. I have been waitlisted many times, and only didn't get in one of the times. I love the convenience of the studio, the flexibility I have achieved, and the expertise of the instructors, so I can make it work. Try it out. It might really work for you. read more
