I was helped at Longevity Bressi Ranch twice this year, once before and after shoulder surgery, and the other for spine/sciatic issues, both times with therapist Chad. The sessions were informative and extremely helpful with printed instructions for in-home exercises. Therapist Chad is great, both skilled and personable. The facility is large, airy and clean. The front desk staff, Kaela and Stevie, are cheerful and polite and go the extra mile to schedule patients promptly and courteously. I am happy to recommend this business. read more

Longevity PT is the best. The facilities are very clean and the front desk staff.are incredibly helpful. The PT's are the best! The listen and truly are invested in your progress. I appreciate the time and care I have received here along with my daughter. If you are looking for a PT this is the place. (They do have multiple locations) read more

I can't say enough good things about Longevity Physical Therapy. After sustaining a knee injury during treatment at another PT clinic (while trying to rehab a hamstring injury), I was hesitant--honestly, afraid--to try physical therapy again. But I'm so glad I gave it another chance, thanks to a recommendation from a friend. Longevity has completely changed my view of what quality physical therapy should be. The three therapists I've had the opportunity to see--Kristen, Krista, and Chad--are truly outstanding. They are incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and careful. What really sets them apart is how engaged they are throughout the entire session--they stay with you the whole time, ensuring that each exercise is done correctly and safely. That level of attention gave me so much confidence in my recovery. Everyone in the front are also always super helpful with scheduling and billing and always so friendly and encouraging. I came in with a lingering hamstring issue and a knee injury that had made things even more complicated, but the team at Longevity took the time to truly understand my situation. Their individualized care and expertise have helped me make meaningful progress, and I feel like I'm finally healing the right way. I wouldn't go anywhere else for PT. Longevity is the only place I trust, and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of physical therapy. read more

I'd like to give a shout out to my physical therapist, Chad Nakagawa, at Longevity Physical Therapy in Bressi Ranch, Carlsbad. He treated my back, neck and balance problems for many months and the results have been amazing. Insurance coverage permitting, I shall continue my therapy treatments with Chad to maintain the results. Chad is knowledgeable, personable and smart. Thanks for all the help you extended to me Chad. Hopefully, I will be back. read more

This is my first experience with PT and I feel very fortunate to have found Brandon at Longevity. Brandon took the time to understand my symptoms, history and lifestyle. He is genuine, professional and kind - he meets me where I am each session, and the guidance/care he provides has helped improve my symptoms and overall quality of life. One aspect I appreciate most is how he breaks down what we are doing and why. He's patient with my questions and makes it all digestible for me to understand. I continue to feel better walking out than I did walking in, and that's attributed to Brandon. read more

I've come here before for my knee replacement rehab. I trusted them so much with my care that I came back but this time for my ankle. I have been placed with Brandon. Brandon is very professional, knowledgeable and funny. He isn't afraid to get in there and manipulate the ankle and hip to make everything come together and work for me. Brandon listens and pays attention. As I get better Brandon isn't afraid to challenge me. I'm always surprised as I can actually do it. He believes in me. I can feel and see myself improving especially when I listen to him. I can also see others (we are schedule right after each other on the same days) also improve. I've seen Brandon at two locations (here in Carlsbad and in La Costa). Both locations are nice and have the equipment you need to get better. I also love that Longevity offers night appointments, this way when I'm off after 5pm I can still make it to therapy. It's a win-win. Corey up front is also very helpful and so is the aid Jordan. Thanks again for taking care of me Team Longevity Carlsbad. Happy New Year!!! read more

Very nice experience with PT service here. Worked with several therapists over the course of a few months and all of them were very knowledgeable and experienced. This place is super packed, and scheduling can be quite difficult sometimes. Definitely have to schedule at least a week if not two weeks in advance. There's plenty of parking. read more

I've had several experiences with PT and this is the first time it is has actually benefitted me. I had back surgery in January, and hip replacement in May, plus progressive knee pain, so I was a mess and a total wreck when I first started. The good news is today I feel better than I have in many years. Kristen Lopez is a wonderful trainer. She is thoughtful, caring, innovative, knowledgable, and has miraculously made my body work better. I highly recommend her and the team at Longevity. read more

I've been a patient at Longevity for about five years -- initially for lower back issues and most recently a rotator cuff tear. Kristen Lopez is my designated physical therapist. My back issues resolved through treatment and exercise. I'm still working on the shoulder which is now much improved. I've been to different PT sites but to me, Longevity is the best. Care is personalized and the entire staff is personable. I highly recommend Longevity and I'll never go anywhere else! read more

I was in a bad car accident in 2021 and was in very bad shape with both back and hip injuries. Longevity has changed my quality of life and gave me the strength to care for my son again. Kristen Lopez is the best PT that I have ever worked with. Her treatment plan has gotten me strong and equipped me to handle daily life tasks like lifting which I could not do before. She has helped rehab me back from 2 hip surgeries in 1 year. Thank you Kristen and Longevity for all that you have done for me! read more

I have been seeing Brandon Tran for my feet pain and numbness and he has been fantastic! Brandon is a great listener and was able to understand my issue right away and knew exactly what he needed to do. He has a great personality and temperament. He clearly explains the issue and what needs to be done. He is very encouraging and positive yet pushes me to do my best at therapy and my home exercises. Brandon has been very effective and I have shown great improvement and is a definite asset to Longevity's team! read more

March, 2022 - Update on Longevity Physical Therapy-Bressi Ranch. Late Sept 2021, I suffered a serious injury, dislocated shoulder and fractured shoulder. Got prescribed to start physical therapy by orthopedic MD. I immediately headed back to Longevity Physical Therapy-Bressi Ranch. I knew Kevin Greer and was very happy when I was last treated by him. It's been 5 months of dedicated physical therapy with both Kevin and Patrick to get the full range of motion and strength back with my right shoulder. I highly, highly recommend Longevity Physical Therapy! The place is always clean. I greatly appreciate the dedicated staff -- Corrie and Lisa, front desk. The individualized attention I got plus the plan to help me get back to normal activities meant a lot to me. There were many times I felt very discouraged and hopeless. Yet, both Patrick and Kevin persisted and were very patient with me -- explaining everything to me. They both helped me achieve my goals with my right shoulder. I don't feel pain now and I really think it's all due to the physical therapy ! The physical therapists at Longevity listen to their patients and are very observant, all to help each patient on their path to recovery. Thank you, Corrie and Lisa! Thank you, Kevin and Patrick!! Thank you for not giving up on me! Despite how long it took (5 months!), I am very happy I stuck with it (twice a week sessions)! Believe me, it wasn't always easy -- many times, I just wanted to stop. And now, with the full range of motion and strength and confidence, I look forward to summer, and to be able to swim in my pool again!! Thank you, Longevity Physical Therapy! (Btw, I really, really appreciate the encouraging words placed strategically on the walls! They helped me.) read more

Longevity at Bressi Ranch is by far the best experience I've had for Physical Therapy. The front office of Cailin and Kaela make each visit begin on the most positive note! They are always pleasant and welcoming. Both ladies show empathy for the clients as I've experienced myself, as well as observed their kind treatment to others. They always make sure that my appointments are scheduled in advance and help me stay on top of anything that needs to be kept up to date. They make the experience a positive one from start to finish. My physical therapist, Chad, is simply the best! He is meticulous in planning goals for me and communicates each long term and short term goal to me. His gift is tuning in to my personal needs with each visit and tailoring the day accordingly. He gives me specific techniques with each exercise to be safe and most effective. He has been a positive life line through a difficult accident with total knee replacement and recovery. He is supportive in every way! read more

Great experience here with good equipment and caring staff. Some characteristics about this PT: It doesn't feel much like an office but more of a gym and the tables are out in the open. Most of the staff are pretty young so if you're looking for very experienced senior PT, I'm not sure if you can find it here. If you're ok with it then this is a place for you. The staff here work very hard to make sure you receive the proper care. When I injured my knee, my PT would massage the area, showed my exercises and put ice pack on me at the end. They also stayed open past 5pm which is a bonus for people who have regular office jobs. The place was very clean and in the women's room they even provided feminine products in case of accidents! There's also a massage therapist on site in a private room. She is amazing and can work wonders on your muscles, ligaments and tendons. I don't have to go to PT anymore but I still come here for the massage! read more

Longevity Physical Therapy - Bressi Ranch - Nice and spacious - Physical Therapy Near Me - Carlsbad, California

I have had numerous experiences with Physical Therapy. Longevity is hands down the best therapy that I've ever received. They are professional, compassionate, and result driven. I highly recommend any of their therapists. They will exceed all expectations. read more

My 11-year-old had a serious injury (fractures to the lower leg that only very narrowly avoided surgical hardware placement). Because he loves his sports and had to be immobile for so long due to injury, we felt getting him properly rehabilitated needed to be a priority. We chose Longevity even though they aren't technically a "pediatric" facility. My son saw JP regularly for several months and we were thrilled with the care he received. JP is also an athlete and really understood the type of rehab my son needed (and which muscle groups and tendons needed the most attention) given the sports he plays. Our goal was met--get the kid back into the physical activities he loves on a safe timeline without suffering injury due to lack of strength/rehab. It was really hard on my son to have to sit out for so long due to his injury, but thanks to JP, we were able to get him going again safely. JP is patient, kind, and was great with my son. He took time to listen as we worked through PT and when my son had aches and pains, he helped us to coordinate with the doctor to figure out what warranted further exploration, what pains were to be expected, and what to target to regain stability and strength. I really appreciated his willingness to help us navigate healing and rebuilding while also validating my son's concerns as he worked through recovery from a pretty traumatic injury. Can't say enough good things--thanks, JP. We are really grateful for you. read more

I love Longevity! It was a different experience than I've had elsewhere. Rachel and the other therapists are highly trained and watch my every move. I felt significant improvement and am clear on how to continue the exercises at home. I recommended them to my doctors! read more

Came to longevity to resolve some lingering pain that kept me from Mountainbiking. Eric S. and the team are super kind, friendly, and good at what they do. Shout out to Patrick and Kevin for helping me heal from a bad back sprain in my lumbar area. Kevin had an accurate assessment and diagnosis that was different than the bulging disk situation I initially thought I had. Instead they helped me to improve my core strength without aggravating my injury. Eventually as my core strength improved it brought lasting relief and reduced pressure on my spine, and now I'm back to surfing again. Patrick was very good about setting up exercises that were challenging but appropriate for each phase of the recovery. This place is what PT should be all about. Follow a weekly regimen and do the exercises at home and you will see some positive results going to these guys. Also take advantage of some of icing tech they have. Thanks guys. read more

I am an active 75 year old male who had a hip replacement surgery approximately five years ago then recently had to have a hip replacement on my other hip. I feel very fortunate to have received a recommendation from my orthopedic surgeon to schedule post-surgery physical therapy at Longevity Physical Therapy. I have been going to Longevity in the Bressi Ranch area of Carlsbad after both hip replacement surgeries, as well as for other orthopedic injuries. I have had nothing short of complete satisfaction for all the staff at Longevity. It starts with being greeted by the very personable and sincerely friendly receptionists Kaela and Cailin when I arrive before my session with my assigned physical therapist, Chad, who is a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Chad's dedication, devotion, and passion toward my healing is above and beyond my expectations. After my first hip replacement, I was able to return to hiking, skiing, cycling, and swimming, thanks to everyone at Longevity Physical Therapy. There are multiple options for selecting a physical therapy clinic in the area, however, there is none better than Longevity Physical Therapy. Longevity has earned my respect and admiration for their care, support, help, and healing. I always look forward to each and every scheduled therapy session that includes being greeted warmly by Kaela and Cailin then working with DPT Chad for his positive, motivational, and encouraging expertise. Thank you all at Longevity! read more

I'm a longtime athlete and former collegiate athlete who experienced a season ending foot injury back in my college days. Since then my knee has suffered some setbacks and has caused me to not do any rigorous activities. I've been seeing Kristen for 3 weeks now and have seen overwhelming progress in my strength, flexibility, and stability. I'm excited to see where I'll be in the coming months as I continue to work on my areas of improvement. Oh yeah, and the Game Ready compression ice machine is royalty! read more

I saw Kristen as my Physical Therapist for about 4 months for chronic lower back pain. Kristen and the team at Longevity are so friendly, funny and really cared about not only my physical health, but how I was doing personally with every visit, which extended to the aides who guided me through my exercises. I have been to 4 physical therapists in North County San Diego, and none of them even come close to the attention, support, professionalism and friendliness of this staff. I would recommend them without hesitation to any friends or family seeking physical therapy. They also meant so much to me personally; I have been struggling with this pain for over a decade and it has inhibited my life in numerous ways. I even was excited every time I knew I had an appointment that day at Longevity, because I knew they truly cared about my holistic well-being (I never get excited for medical appointments). I recently graduated and it was bittersweet because I will miss spending time with a great group of people! They truly do this work for the right reasons and have an unwavering patient-first mentality. Don't second-guess yourself and go here if you need physical therapy! For some, it may feel frustrating, but with a team as awesome as this cheering you on every step of the way, you are in awesome hands and you will make progress! Thank you Longevity read more

Can't say enough! The staff is great - From the receptionist to the therapists. They do a great job evaluating and setting you up on a path to recovery. Recovery can be tough but with a fun and positive environment, the journey isn't as bad. I especially want to thank Ross for initially helping me recover and Casey for finishing the journey. As a pro athlete I was concerned with getting back to full strength, and Casey definitely challenged me and pushed me to get there. My injury was a ruptured tricep tendon, so not a common recovery process. But they definitely knew how to assess and get me back in track. Thank you guys. read more

Longevity is the best PT experience that I have ever had thanks to Megan Waller and the rest of the team. I ended up having 2 surgeries in '19 that originated from an old shoulder injury and a snapped ligament in my ankle. Ended up spending about 6 months total in PT from both surgeries. When I started I could barely walk to the tables, let alone run. After a few weeks, I was running and doing strength training. My ankles has never been better and I am able to run and live an active life again. Megan also worked on my shoulder after surgery, and now I am back to swimming and surfing multiple times a week, with no pain. -They were good about keeping me on track and pushing me thru self-imposed limits, but were excellent about listening to what was going on with pain levels and movement issues. -Homework was on point and easy to follow. -Facility was spotless with top notch equipment. -Most importantly, dog friendly. Hopefully, I avoid PT for the next few years but if I end up getting banged up again then Longevity will have my business. read more

The staff here are incredible. They genuinely care about your progress and you as a person. I felt welcome every time I walked in and I felt challenged every session, which resulted in a notable increase in strength. They seamlessly work you into other trainers for different exercises, each one just as knowledgeable as the last. Strength training can be repetitive and boring, but they make the experience fun by engaging in conversation, keeping a lighthearted attitude and making you feel like part of the team. I can't recommend this place enough. 5 stars. 11/10. 4 thumbs up. Thank you, Longevity! read more

Over the past 10 years, I've been to a number of Physical Therapist for my back. When I came to Longevity I could hardly lift my foot to climb the stairs at my house; my pain went from my glute to the piriformis down my legs. The pain had gotten so bad and had lingered for such a long time that I was about to sell our 2-story house to buy a single level house. Kenny is amazing and he has been my therapist and I can't say enough good things about him. He is caring and most importantly he listens...and after my first visit and his manipulations I was able to go up the stairs with not much effort. What I admire with him is the level of attention and the time he spends working on me. He makes sure that I use the proper posture/technique when doing my stretches and exercises. Kenny has definitely made a positive impact in my quality of life!!! read more

Cannot say enough good things about Kristen Lopez and Longevity! Unfortunately, I previously suffered a significant injury doing PT prescribed by a different provider. : ( So, needless to say, I was PT-hesitant when I walked in the door to Longevity. The whole staff is so friendly and welcoming I really didn't mind going! Plus, with all their help, they helped progress me quickly so I could get back to my routine. I'd give 10 stars if I could. I broke my tibia and fibula badly in July 2017 and started coming to Longevity the very end of August. I wasn't weight bearing when I showed up, crutching around with a boot on my right leg, my leg and body very atrophied after 7 weeks of immobility. I had been very athletic and in great shape before breaking my leg, so psychologically I wasn't doing that well either. The road to recovery seemed overwhelmingly long. Longevity turned out to be the perfect place for me. Now it has been 2.5 months coming twice a week to Longevity, and I have made so much progress and at a fast rate - I'm walking well and regaining strength and range of motion such that it is very noticeable week to week. I saw my surgeon yesterday and he was quite amazed at my progress - he said my bones were healing way ahead of schedule and that my movement/flexibility were far ahead of what he would expect. My therapy sessions are with Brett, who intuitively knows when to push me and challenge me, and who is sensitive and compassionate in those moments when rehabilitation feels overwhelming and "normal" feels out of reach. Believe me, a good physical therapist really has to understand that recovering from a broken limb has a mental therapy aspect to it as well. And here, they do. Brett is amazing and he has totally earned my trust and confidence as he helps me in my recovery, with great attention to getting me fully functional again. On a few occasions I have seen other therapists there, including Brittney and Kristen, and they are excellent and very skilled and very encouraging. The aides are all friendly and just personally welcoming and interested in how you are doing. It's a very positive and supportive place with progressive individualized care. Someone asked me if going to physical therapy is a drag, and I replied that I look forward to every single session. read more

This location opened up in January 2014, and I've had the honor of seeing it grow this summer as a doctoral student intern here. (That's also why the reviews are mainly from this year.) The thing that sets Longevity PT apart from other outpatient physical therapy clinics is its customer service, which is not only evident in the way the owners, Brett and Jeff, treat their patients, but also in the way they treat their students. The mentorship here has been phenomenal, and I had an opportunity to shadow both of them to get a feel of different teaching styles, so that my learning is more comprehensive -- like Longevity's patient care. The Applied Functional Science (AFS) approach looks at your whole body, and focuses on your *individualized* FUNCTIONAL goals, whether it's getting back to running, or being able to reach back and get dressed without pain. I won't spoil all the surprises, but after 10 minutes of talking with the awesome therapists here, I've noticed many of the patients start to see a difference in the kind of care they provide vs. other PT places. Vanessa at the front desk and all the friendly, knowledgeable PT aides made my rotation here fun and less stressful because everyone was willing to help you, whether it'd be scanning some papers or teaching you a 3D exercise (yes, you read that right...3D exercise). So while this review is not coming from the perspective of a patient, I'm giving you the DL on what it's like to be on "staff" here. It's an awesome feeling to look forward to coming to work every day and not count down the minutes till you're outta there. When giving my business to a company, I put a lot of weight on how it treats its employees (just see my Powerhouse Gym review -- how is that place still operating??: http://www.yelp.com/biz/powerhouse-gym-redwood-city). I'm less likely to support a business that I know treats their employees like crap, but that's definitely not the case at Longevity...so far that I'm taking the time to write this review though I no longer work there because I want to see good things (i.e., the business growing) happen to good people. Bottom line: It's a great work environment, and you can rest assured that staff is well taken care of. It just has that family feel to it. And happy employees = happy customers, right? :) read more

After 30+ years of playing hard and 11 orthopaedic surgeries I have seen dozens of physical therapists. Most were not so good, some were okay and a couple were far above average. Bret Bloom is far above average and is in fact an amazing physical therapist. He doesn't just go through the motions. He seriously wants to help his patients and he puts in the hands on work to make it happen. From literally pushing me to get full range of motion to watching every rep for correct form, Bret doesn't cut corners. And that mindset is shared from the top down. Everyone I have interacted with at Longevity Physical Therapy is very friendly, caring and there to help. Bret makes sure of it. Longevity is the only place I will go for physical therapy.
