I've had such a great experience working with Gwyneth at The Perfect Workout! She works exclusively with my dad and me, and does a great job making sure we both get the most out of every workout. She's really attentive to our posture and form and always makes sure we're doing the exercises correctly. She also knows when we have a little more "left in the tank" and pushes us just enough to get that extra effort out of us! Gwyneth is encouraging, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about helping us get stronger. I've worked with several trainers at The Perfect Workout and have had great experiences with all of them, and we've really enjoyed having Gwyneth as our trainer! read more

So far so good! After spending some time away from the gym, I had to find a way to ease back in. I went to several different exercise programs but really settled on TPW bc of how efficient it is. My trainer Contessa is really thoughtful about my personal health and wellness goals but everyone here is really kind and helpful in general. Will update my review after my first three months! read more

Gwyneth and the rest of the team here do a really nice job. Great people and great workouts!

I've been working out at Perfect Workout for 4 months now and it's the first time I've been consistent with my workouts (I'm 58). It's only 20 minutes but concentrated and targeted to meet my specific health goals. I work out with Gwyneth and Contessa and they are both fantastic! They are incredibly positive and personable and always professional. They design my workout routines/weights to ensure I'm pushed to a safe and healthy limit while always encouraging me. I've joined so many gyms in the past, tried home programs through YouTube/virtual subscriptions and this has been the only program I've seen results so fast and enjoyed. I look forward to my workout sessions, which is saying A LOT! Yes, it's pricy but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend! read more

Having been members for over 6 years each, we can say without a doubt that the attention to our advancing workout needs and overall support during each of our weekly visits has been outstanding and friendly. While we have understandably experienced a number of TPW personnel changes over the years, there has always been a continuity of excellent technical support when it comes to the appropriate machines, weights and duration of each exercise. At all times, our respective long-term and occasional short-term physical limitations are considered by our trainers each and every time we have our sessions. We both feel that we have greatly improved our muscle strength and flexibility. Our workout routines are something we look forward to each and every week. read more

I have been with The Perfect Workout for almost a year now. My strength is increasing and my body looks more toned than it ever did working out at a regular gym. I love having the one-on-one sessions to guide me and the workouts being a good challenge and only 20 minutes! Gwyneth is a fantastic trainer in Carlsbad! She listens to what my goals are and creates workouts to accomplish that! Highly recommend. read more

I can't say enough great things about The Perfect Workout in Carlsbad--it truly lives up to its name. Every session is efficient, safe, and incredibly effective. Allie is amazing--she's extremely knowledgeable and makes sure my form is always spot on, which gives me so much confidence during each workout. I really appreciate how personalized and focused the sessions are. I'm super happy I found this place and honestly wish I had started sooner. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a smarter, results-driven workout! read more

I've been working out here for a few years now. It's a great workout. Not a lot of time needed and you don't get sweaty. But after 20 minutes you feel like youve worked every muscle in your body. I've gotten a lot stronger over that time. You work one on one with a trainer, so the workout is really geared to your needs. Contessa, my trainer, is absolutely great. I love working with Allie too. It is on the expensive side, but if you can afford it, it is definitely worth the time. read more

Truly transformative workout! Built muscle, increased bone density and perked up breasts!! Trainer Diana Ferrer is the best! Knowledgeable, supportive and fun to be with!! read more

I've been working out here for two years. The workout has changed my body and given me much more muscle strength. I love the one on one session and my trainer Zeke!! read more

Awesome team and awesome location! Always quick and effective. They handle appointments with ease and great communication.

Wow Allie, another great workout. I asked for help on my upper chest and triceps. They have been notoriously hard to build. You listened to what I asked and tailored my workout to focus on those areas. Thank you! I can see a difference after only one workout. Wow. I can't wait to do it again. read more

If you hate going to the gym, unsure how to use the machines, you want to make sure you can still open a jar and get out of bed in the morning. This is the work out for you. Everyone has 20 minutes once a week to make a life change. Allie, Zeek and Contessa can make that happen for you. read more

I can't say enough great things about Zeke as a personal trainer. From day one, he took the time to understand my goals and built a strength training program that was both challenging and realistic. His knowledge, attention to form, and ability to explain the "why" behind each movement has made such a difference in my progress. Since working with Zeke, I've seen a significant improvement in my overall strength, endurance, and confidence in the gym. Lifts that once felt intimidating are now part of my regular routine, and I'm consistently pushing weights I never thought I could handle. More importantly, I feel stronger in my everyday life -- not just during workouts. Zeke has the perfect balance of encouragement and accountability. He pushes me when I need it, celebrates progress (big and small), and keeps every session focused and intentional. If you're looking for a trainer who truly cares about your progress and delivers real results, Zeke is the best. I'm so grateful for the strength and confidence I've gained working with him! read more

The Perfect Workout is just that! The perfect workout. 20 minute sessions are short and to the point. It's amazing how such quick workouts can produce amazing results. Only draw back is the price, it's not cheap. I guess you get what you pay for!!! read more

Slow motion strength training. This method of training has proven to increase strength and stamina. Specifically for people in their 40's, 40's and beyond. The 20 minutes 2x per week is great for those of us with busy lives. The Perfect workout! The name says it all! I am thrilled to have found the his private gym. ‍ read more

Hey Carlsbad, just wanted to let you know that you guys are getting an awesome trainer in Jermelle. I've been with him in the RB store for about 3 mos now. He really helped me increase my strength, build stamina and lose some much needed weight! He challenged me without pushing if that makes sense. He is very knowledgeable as a trainer and knows what works. Thank you Jermelle and best wishes to you! read more

At first I liked the place but it is going downhill. They are currently not hiring certified trainers, or even people who have physical training experience. The coaches are kids out of college for the most part just doing this until they can get jobs in their fields. $75 an hour gets you 20 minutes on rundown machines they keep promising to replace. They are alarmingly old, with torn seats and dirt. I honestly feel like they are selling seniors a bag of goods. You really don't get the workout you would with a certified trainer or for a longer period of time. The heavy weights damaged my knees and I refuse to do certain machines anymore. read more

I love this place! I HATE organized regimented exercise and classes. But. Hey. I can do anything for 20 minutes! I've been coming here for about a month and really feel the difference. The trainers are fantastic, attentive, and keep you on point. I haven't worked with a trainer in years and I really enjoy this. The concept make total sense and it seems to be effective. I definitely feel stronger, I can tell my core muscles engage when the didn't used to, and the weight lifted is increasing. I sleep sounder too. It's all good. It will take more time to measure inches and pounds but I feel so much better I'm willing to keep going. I've not ever felt these results so quickly fro a workout. And did I mention that we're only talking about 20 minutes twice a week? Cool beans. read more

When I first heard of slow-motion strength training I scoffed at the idea, that going slow was more beneficial. I was invited to try the workout for myself, I figured why not! And wow! I was amazed at how much more in tune I felt with my body I was able to maintain a slow pace with my trainer's guidance while being corrected on form and pushed past my own belief that previously hindered my results. Not only that but my membership allows me to train with all of the trainers! Denise, Diana, DJ, Michelle, Mitzi, & Aurelio....so essentially I get 5 trainers for the price of 1! How can I not reach my goals when I have a team of trainers guiding me to success. read more

Do not go!! This one size fits all doesn't work, and the "trainers" don't know what they're doing. They promise muscle strength but they will change your body and not always for the better. They messed me up and it can not be fixed. Don't go here. This is a real review! read more

I have been scheduled at the Perfect Workout for over three years now. I say scheduled because the workouts are at a designated weekly day and time so it is not like a fitness center where you come and go as you can. My muscle strength has increased greatly. My leg pressing is up to 427 lbs. Not bad for a semi-retired 68 year old guy. The training staff is excellent and works with you on every machine for proper setup to get you to muscle fatigue without injury. It is truly amazing what a mere 20 minutes a week can do to make such a difference in you health and stamina. It truly is the Perfect Workout! read more

What an amazing find! I've been attending The Perfect Workout for three months now & plan to continue indefinitely. The program is tailored to each person's ability & strength with one-on-one attention from a trainer. The workouts are only 20 minutes but as intense as you want or need & take place in a private setting. To ensure maximum efficiency, each workout is prepared ahead of time & the results are tracked in real-time. It's so helpful to be able to actually see the measured results from the beginning. I never thought 20 minutes would be enough to see any real changes but the results speak for themselves. I haven't felt this good in years. Thank you to both Michelle's, Denise & all the staff! read more

I love this place !!! It doesn't matter your age or physical strength, this is a great workout for ANYONE !!! not only is everyone friendly there and makes sure you feel comfortable, but this is one of the best workouts I've ever done ! You get a full body workout in less than 30 minutes ?!! I mainly workout with Mitzi and sometimes Denise too! It's nice having a team who keeps record of my weights and timing so if I can't get in with one, I know I can go to anyone and get a great workout! This is perfect for my busy life style! They also help you with your nutrition, which is usually extra at other places! If you're looking to get in better shape, gain strength and loose weight (by only going twice a week for 30 mins ?!!) then this is the place to go! read more

I have been doing slow motion training for 7 years. Denise, the manager, gave me my first workout - she knew exactly how to challenge me, but was also very cautious with my bad knees from years of running. Diana is great - super energetic and a great coach. All the trainers are terrific - you can't go wrong! This workout has changed my life and gotten me through two pregnancies. Give them a try and you'll love it too!! read more

I have been doing the Super Slow method of The Perfect Workout for about 3 years now. I would highly recommend anyone on their staff. Both Denise and Diana have been with the company for 10+ years each. So if you want experienced trainers then you have your studio. I have always had amazing workouts from their entire staff. My workouts are 2x as effective with a trainer and the method is super efficient and safe. I used this method to rehab my shoulder back after a bad injury and It has been continuing to heal ever since. read more
